PWM 방식 고속 전자석에 관한 연구 (A study on the PWM type High Speed Electromagnet)

  • This paper is concerned about a high speed electromagnet of Pressure control solenoid valve. Solenoid valve is controlled by means of Pulse width modulation. The magnetostatic field problem on a solenoid is numerically solved by the 2-D axisymmetric finite element method. And permeance method is adopted for analysing the static and dynamic property of solenoid part theoretically. In addition, in this study, experiments on solenoid part were performed in order to measure the magnetic force and plunger displacement. The numerical results coincided with the experimental results. As a result, the magnetic force has the linear relation with displacement of plunger and the primary factors on the performance of PWM type high speed electromagnet are coil resistance, plunger mass, and the length of air gap between plunger and core.

고속 플런저형 솔레노이드의 동특성 해석 (Analysis of Dynamic Characteristics for High speed Plunger-type Solenoid)

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차나 항공기에서 많이 사용되고 있는 고속 솔레노이드 밸브의 플런저형 솔레노이드에 대한 설계기술을 확보하기 위하여, 수치해석을 통해 플런저의 이동시간에 대해 설계 파라메타들이 미치는 영향 및 솔레노이드의 동작특성을 검토하였다. 솔레노이드의 형상이 원통형이므로 축대칭원통좌표계를 이용하였고, 특히 전자기적 부분의 이론 해석시 와전류에 의한 영향을 고려하였으며, 가정자로법에 의해 퍼미언스를 계산하여 해석에 활용하였다. 구해진 파라메타의 해석 결과를 참고로 하여, 파라메타 값을 약간씩 변화시켜서 시간에 따른 플런저의 변위, 전류, 흡인력과의 관계등 동특성을 재해석하는 과정을 반복하여 최적치를 도출하였다. 도출된 최적치를 사용한 모의실험결과 플런저 이동시간은 1.8[ms] 정도의 고속이 됨을 알 수 있었다.

밸브 구동용 개폐식 솔레노이드 액추에이터의 설계 (A Design of On/Off Type Solenoid Actuator for Valve Operation)

  • For a design of on/off solenoid actuator for valve actuating, designer must have the experimental knowledge as well as general electromagnetic formulas to design object. It is possible for theoretical knowledge to do the out-line design, but it is impossible to optimal design without experimental knowledge which only can be achieved through many repeated experiments. In addition, in present on/off type solenoid actuator field, the smaller, lightening, lower consumption power, high response time are effected as the most important design factor. So, experimental knowledge is more needed for optimal design of solenoid actuator. In this study, we derived the governing equations for optimal design of on/off solenoid actuator for valve actuating and developed a design program composed electromagnetic theories and experimental parameter values for inexperienced designers. And we proved the propriety of this program by experiments.

Empirical Design of an On and Off Type Solenoid Actuator For Valve Operation

  • Modern users demand that the on and off type solenoid actuator should be smaller, lighter in weight, lower in consumption power, and higher in response time. The complete design satisfying such requirements can be achieved when electromagnetic theories and empirical knowledge are combined. This paper presents various types of empirical coefficients essentially needed for optimal design of a solenoid actuator. The values of these empirical coefficients are obtained through extensive experiments over a great length of time for various kinds of solenoid actuators. We have developed a design program that is composed by combination of governing equations and empirical coefficients, and have also manufactured a prototype solenoid actuator based on the final results of the design program. The propriety of the design program and empirical coefficients have been proven by experiments.

배기 브레이크용 솔레노이드 밸브의 특성 해석 (Characteristics Analysis of the Solenoid Valve for Exhaust Brake)

  • An exhaust brake system is composed of a gate valve, a pneumatic cylinder and an on-off solenoid valve. An on-off solenoid valve which is a key component of the exhaust brake system ought to have characteristics such as high reliability and long life for reducing the foot brake and tires damage, and for driver's fatigue relief of middle/large size vehicles running a long distance. In this paper, an on-off solenoid valve which is used for vehicle brake system was studied. For the performance evaluation of the on-off solenoid, electromagnetic characteristics and dynamic characteristics are analyzed. On the basic study for the performance improvement of exhaust brake system, pneumatic circuit and pneumatic valve of on-off solenoid type were suggested and the performance of pneumatic valve through the test procedure was evaluated.

  • 위성의 자세제어용 추력시스템에 대한 연료 공급용 솔레노이드 밸브의 국산화를 위해 Dual-Type의 솔레노이드 밸브를 개발하였다. Hydrazine을 연료로 사용하는 위성용 밸브는 반응속도, 유량, 누설 등의 기본성능 외에 수십만 번의 Cycle life, 충격 및 진동, 극저온 등의 환경 요인을 만족해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 설계 및 제작하고 질소 공압 장치를 이용한 성능 시험을 수행하였다.

  • In this study, A special quality analysis and experiment for low power consumption type pneumatic on-off micro valve was performed. And flow characteristics of the micro valve by stroke change was numerically investigated. As a result, it is shown that magnetic force(2.4N) is exerted enough to move poppet with 0.3mm stroke with 0.01 seconds of response time, and that there is no magnetic force emitted by yoke. Under the condition of poppet stroke smaller than about 0.8mm, dynamic pressure acts to poppet wall up to supply pressure level. But, that is decreasing to 40% when poppet stroke is 0.8mm.

  • In this study, Design and simulation for low power consumption type pneumatic on-off micro valve was performed. As a result, it is shown that magnetic force(6.8N) is exerted enough to move poppet with 0.438mm stroke with 0.01 seconds of response time, and that there is no magnetic force emitted by yoke.   • Pneumatic servo valve is an electro-mechanical device which change electric signals to a proper pneumatic signals, that is, flowrate and pressure. In this study, a pneumatic servo valve was designed and each simulation was conducted on any variation in the flowrate depending upon the magnetic force of the linear force motor and the displacement of the spool. And permanent magnet was used as a material for the plunger of the servo valve. Thereby, a low electrical power consumption type coil was desinged. And a modeling for the coil design was conducted by using the magnetic circuit. also, the feasibility of the modeling was verified by using a commercial magnetic field analysis program. The designed and fabrication of the spool and sleeve, position sensor, servo controller and the dynamic characteristic verified by the experiment.
