Recently, with a growing interest of health and environment, chitosan which was good in no harmful effect to human body and environment, has been watched as the finish treatment of hygiene and pleasantness. The purpose of this study is to develop multifunctional fabric that was improved antimicrobial activity and deodorization rate, water absorption, static voltage and dye absorption by treatment of nylon 6 grafted with acrylic acid added in chitosan. FT-IR spectra of the grafted with acrylic acid added in chitosan shows peaks of COOH and NH2. Antimicrobial activity and deodorization rate of chitosan and grafted with acrylic acid added in chitosan were increased greatly than the control, durability of laundry of grafted with acrylic acid added in chitosan was good. In case of chitosan was dyed acid dyes and grafted with acrylic acid added in chitosan was dyed basic dyes, dye absorption of them were increased than the control. Moisture regain, absorption time and tensile strength of grafted with acrylic acid added in chitosan was increased greatly than the control.
The active noise control (ANC) technique attenuates acoustic noise in a flexible and effective way. Traditional ANC design aims to minimize the residual noise energy, which is indiscriminative in the frequency domain. However, human hearing perception exhibits selective sensitivity for different frequency ranges. In this paper, we aim to improve the noise attenuation performance in perceptual perspective by incorporating noise weighting into ANC design. We also introduce psychoacoustic analysis to evaluate the sound quality of the residual noise by using a predictive pleasantness model, which combines four psychoacoustic parameters: loudness, sharpness, roughness, and tonality. Simulations on synthetic random noise and realistic noise show that our method improves the sound quality and that ITU-R 468 noise weighting even performs better than A-weighting.

The impact sound of the golf club is one of the major factors to purchase it. Sound qualify evaluation techniques are mostly developed for harmonic sounds. Sound quality metrics for the impact sound is proposed in this study. Jury test, one of the typical subjective evaluation scheme, is carried out for evaluating the sound quality of 11 different golf drivers. Above subjective classification results are assumed to be the right answers. Conventional objective evaluation methods such as Zwicker loudness sensory pleasantness are calculated. Wavelet analysis and instantaneous loudness are applied in order to evaluate the transient sounds, which shows better correlation with the results from those by jury test.

This study performed an physical analysis on the characteristics of urban environmental sound divided into three parts depending on their features. Object sounds were classified into traffic sound, waster sound and spatial sound. Traffice sound was selected because it is dominant sound in urban environment, and water sound is selected because it generally supplies pleasantness in contrast to traffic sound, Finally spatial sound was considered because it represents sound in various places of city having lots of behaviors and types of sound due to them. Physcal analysis was carried out using sound quality indices based on Zwicker's loudness, $L_{Aeq}$(equivalent noise level), Ln(percentile noise level) and other acoutical attributes applied to previous study. Through the analysis, this study aims to compare the acoustical characteristics of urban environmental sound and to provide fundamental data for the evaluation of urban environmental sound.
Chitosan is known to be an excellent biocompatible natural polymer. Recently, with a growing interest of health and environment, chitosan which is good in no harmful effect on human body and environment, has been watched as the finish treatment of hygiene and pleasantness. The purpose of this study is to develop multi functional fabrics by chitosan added on acrylic acid grafted cotton fabrics. Therefore physical properties such as moisture regain, air permeability, whiteness, static voltage and tensile strength of chitosan added on acrylic acid grafted cotton fabrics were investigated. The results are as follows ; According to increased chitosan's concentration, grafting yield was decreased. Therefore thickness of film by treated chitosan added on acrylic acid grafted cotton fabric became thin. FT R spectra of chitosan add on acrylic acid grafted cotton fabric clearly showed peaks of COOH and $NH_2$, Moisture regain, static voltage of chitosan add on acrylic acid grafted cotton fabrics were increased than control. Air permeability, whiteness and tensile strength were decreased than control.

Pleasantness or quietness becomes one of the most important factors for residential designs recently. Especially for apartments, the noise generated by falling objects becomes a sensitive issue these days. To overcome the problem of the impact noise in apartments, the floor design has been changed. To reduce the transmissibility of the noise, composite floor structures are devised and implemented for the construction of apartments. In this paper, the noise reduction performance of a composite floor plate with holes is analyzed. Computational modelings for the structures are developed and its performance is evaluated by using the finite element method. The results show that the noise can be well reduced with the multi-layer composite floor plates with holes.
Purpose - This objective of this study is to analyze the factors that impact Chinese consumers' purchasing intent for high-tech products. The study examines smart phones'features, Chinese personal consumer characteristics, and social influence. Research design, data, and methodology - The study employed survey data based on 200 questionnaires in principal Chinese cites between October and December 2011. SPSS 17.0 was employed to analyze the data used to test the hypotheses the analysis results confirmed some hypotheses proposed. Results - Hypothesis 1, Hypothesis 4, and Hypothesis 7 proposing that utilization, social image, and attractiveness, respectively, of smart phone elements influence the Chinese consumers' purchasing intent are supported. Conclusions - This study found the factors that impact purchasing intent for high-tech products among Chinese consumers, with some factors like social image, attractiveness, and utilization playing critical roles; however, hypotheses proposing factors such as ease of use, pleasantness, personal innovativeness, and compatibility were rejected. In future, more research focusing on the elements of smart phones is required.
Background: Although school footpaths must guarantee pedestrians’ safety and pleasantness, even facilities installed according to standards provided in “Rules on the Designation and Management of School Zones” are not maintained and managed properly and as a result they are not effective for securing the safety of school footpaths. Purpose: The present study surveyed the physical environment of elementary school footpaths and investigated problems posed by the absence of facilities. Methods: First, the current state of street structure was investigated using maps as well as field surveys, and the current state of street furniture was surveyed by checking if it has been installed and photographing it. In addition, traffic characteristics were investigated by measuring traffic safety while children’s going to school and home, and children’s behaviors on school footpaths were surveyed by observing their behaviors when going to school and home. Result: This study surveyed the installation and state of safety facilities on school footpaths around elementary schools in B City, analyzed items to be improved, and presented materials for reducing accidents among elementary students.

This paper proposes an algorithm for EEG pattern classification using the Multi-template method, which is a kind of speaker adaptation method for speech signal processing. 10-channel EEG signals are collected in various environments. The linear prediction coefficients of the EEGs are extracted as the feature parameter of human sensibility. The human sensibility classification algorithm is developed using neural networks. Using EEGs of comfortable or uncomfortable seats, the proposed algorithm showed about 75% of classification performance in subject-independent test. In the tests using EEG signals according to room temperature and humidity variations, the proposed algorithm showed good performance in tracking of pleasantness changes and the subject-independent tests produced similar performances with subject-dependent ones.

Quantitative planning element and qualitative planning instruction which are required for planning and evaluating environment-friendly building are accessed in previous studies. In this study, the concept of symbiotic housing is introduced for upgrading existing planning elements, so as to study the planning elements collectively. This study can be summarized as below: (1) Planning elements for saving energy and using resources effectively are added in order to preserve the earth environment. (2) In order to harmonize with neighboring environment more, sunshine duration of neighboring buildings is considered; streets and village view are harmonized; space in-between is prepared. (3) For healthy and amenity residential environment, following items are added, improved pleasantness of inside and outside space; improved amenity and health of housing; and, co-dwelling with large scope. Besides, the necessity of residents' agreement is proposed to induce residents' participation, which has not been mentioned before.
