  • This study used a single group pre and post-experimental design for nursing students to understand the effects of counseling theory and actual subjects on empathy and communication ability by applying traditional lecture-style education and case-based role-playing education. The subjects of this study were 66 students who took counseling theory and actual courses, understood the purpose of the study, and voluntarily agreed to participate in the study among all 2nd grade students enrolled in C nursing college in G area. The curriculum consisted of six weeks of lecture-style education, followed by case-based role-play education for six weeks. Three surveys were conducted before training, after lecture-style training, and after case-based role-play training. The collected data were analyzed using the repeated measurement variance analysis using the SPSS 26.0 program. As a result of this study, when nursing students were selected as 20-29 years old and compared the effectiveness of the program according to gender and time point, there was no significant difference in the empathy ability of the subjects by group or time point. There was no significant difference in communication ability according to the group, but there was a significant difference according to the time point (F=4.20, p=.017). Therefore, it was proved that the application of education using case-based role play to counseling theory and actual subjects has a positive effect on communication ability of nursing students rather than lecture-style education.

  • One of the major streams of modern play in Korea is the work of introducing Korea's traditional ritual-'gut' into a play. Such work, together with the stream of diversification of culture, has brought about the tendency to induce 'gut' into a play in a creative way. The research on ritual plays in Korea has been done in the direction of studying the ritual plays in the West centering on the work of theoretically inquiring into histrionic features inhering in 'gut' as a ritual. This research made an analysis of the receptive aspect of rituals and histrionic characteristics presented in Korea plays through "Sanssikgim" and "Ogu" on the basis of the theory of ritual plays established by Artaud. In an effort to understand the receptive aspect of rituals, this research analyzed what forms these Korean works are borrowing from "Ssikgim gut" and "Ogu gut" while analyzing these works differently from the viewpoint of Artaud regarding characteristics of ritual plays. Accordingly, this research made an analysis of the structure and characteristic of "gut" with the aim of understanding in what form "gut" is absorbed into Korean plays by looking at the theatric receptive forms of "gut." The ritual plays in Korea originated in "gut." Likewise, the theater of cruelty by Artaud was greatly influenced by the belly dance stemming from "mudang-gut" in Asia. Accordingly, there is considerably exposed something in common between the ritual play in Korea and Artaud's theater of cruelty. "Gut" in Korea, or ritual plays are a little different from Artaud's work which makes its audience feel unfamiliar in that 'gut' or ritual plays in Korea are pursuing ritualistic quality and playing quality simultaneously, but there exists a similarity between the two in that they both desired to have communication with audiences. This researcher strongly believes that for the time to come, when the receptive aspect of the modern play assuming ritualistic quality is developed using the medium of communication with audiences, purification and play therapy, its direction will be more noticeably exposed.

  • In recent years, wearable sensor devices are reshaping the way people live, work, and play. A wearable sensor device is a computer that is subsumed into the personal space of the user, and is always on, and always accessible. Therefore, among the most salient aspects of a wearable sensor device should be a small form factor, long battery lifetime, and real-time characteristics. Thereby, sophisticated applications of a wearable sensor device use real-time operating systems to guarantee real-time deadlines. The deterministic multi-dimensional task scheduling algorithms are implemented on ARC (Actual Remote Control) with relatively limited hardware resources. ARC is a wearable wristwatch-type remote controller; it can also serve as a universal remote control, for various wearable sensor devices. In the proposed algorithms, there is no limit on the maximum number of task priorities, and the memory requirement can be dramatically reduced. Furthermore, regardless of the number of tasks, the complexity of the time and space of the proposed algorithms is O(1). A valuable contribution of this work is to guarantee real-time deadlines for wearable sensor devices.

  • The measurement method is proposed for performance-evaluation of bus system in this paper. The cycle tin in manufacturing system that sensor and actuator play on the role is important factor for performance-evaluation. In order to measure cycle time, proposed method is based on simple algorithm. But it must consider delay elements in PLC and it's peripheral. The test of the cycle time is divided into the best case and the worst case and parameters are set corresponding to two cases for the improvement of measurement result It is shown that the proposed method is efficient by measuring the cycle time of the fieldbus basing on the mathematics model. As a result, due to simplicity and convenience of proposed method, the engineering cost and time demanding for test of cycling time can much reduce.

  • The research presented in this paper enables real-time 3D modeling to help make construction processes ultimately faster, more predictable and safer. Initial research efforts used an emerging sensor technology and proved its usefulness in the acquisition of range information for the detection and efficient representation of static and moving objects. Based on the time-of-flight principle, the sensor acquires range and intensity information of each image pixel within the entire sensor's field-of-view in real-time with frequencies of up to 30 Hz. However, real-time working range data processing algorithms need to be developed to rapidly process range information into meaningful 3D computer models. This research ultimately focuses on the application of safer heavy equipment operation. The paper compares (a) a previous research effort in convex hull modeling using sparse range point clouds from a single laser beam range finder, to (b) high-frame rate update Flash LADAR (Laser Detection and Ranging) scanning for complete scene modeling. The presented research will demonstrate if the FlashLADAR technology can play an important role in real-time modeling of infrastructure assets in the near future.

  • The purpose of this study is to minimize negative effect of VMS travel time information service by sensitivity analysis, which forecasts the change in link traffic volume. As a result, strategies for providing travel information that can change driving patterns for minimizing travel time were found. The framework for analysis is recently expanded with the application of game theory. According to the experiment, the algorithm generated for travel time information service reduces total travel time and yields travel patterns that is very close to the system optimization. Also, this study found that the route the travel time service information is provided about could play the important role.

  • Pigment-dispersing factor (PDF) is an octadecapeptide distributed in the optic lobe and the brain in a variety of insect species. There are lines of evidence suggesting possible involvement of PDF in the insect circadian system. However, its physiological roles in the circadian time keeping mechanism have not been clearly defined. In this study, we have examined the phase shifting effects of Gryllus-PDF on the circadian locomotor rhythm in the cricket Gryllus bimaculatus of which circadian clock is located in the optic lobe. Phase shifts in the circadian activity rhythm were measured following microinjection of 22nl of vehicle (Ringer's solution) or O.lmM PDF into the optic lobe through the compound eye at various circadian times. The results showed that PDF induced phase shifts of the circadian clock in a phase-dependent manner, suggesting that it may play a role as an input signal for the circadian clock.

  • Social network games (SNGs), a rapidly growing online game genre, are built and played on social network sites. SNGs provide an online world for enjoying leisure time and interpersonal communication, and an increasing numbers of college students are involved in such game-playing as a leisure time activity. Despite the popularity, relatively few studies have been conducted to investigate the nature of game players, especially the meaning of such leisure time behavior by college students. This paper's aim was to explore a subjective meaning structure of online social network game play. The means-end chain model was used to link attributes of SNGs to the underlying values of game playing as a leisure activity. The results revealed two emerging end-values: the need for bridging and a sense of belonging. This study sheds light on the meaning of college students' leisure activities when playing social network games.

  • Multidisciplinary design optimization methodologies play an essential role in modern engineering design which involves many inter-related disciplines. These methodologies usually require very long computing time and design tasks are hard to finish within a specified design cycle time. Parallel processing can be effectively utilized to reduce the computing time. The research on the parallel computing performance of MDO methodologies has been just begun and developing. This study investigates performances of MDF, IDF, SAND and CO among MDO methodologies in view of parallel computing. Finally, the best out of four methodologies is suggested for parallel processing purpose.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the permenent pleats finish on the cystine contents and the physical properties of wool fabrics. Monoethanolamine Sulfite (MEAS) was used as a reducing agent. Cystine contents of the fabrics were determined after the fabric was treated with various MEAS concentrations and steamset time. The cystine contents were increase as the MEAS concentrations were increased. The cystine contents were also increased with steamset time. As the settability showed close relationship with the cystine contents, breakdown and rebuilding of the cystine linkage was thought to play an important role for the settability. Physical properties such as shrink resistance, crease recovery angle and tensile strength were increased as the MEAS concentration was increased. As the stramset time was increased, shrink resistance and crease recovery angle were in creased.
