Impact of Organizational Justice and Perceived Organizational Support on Effectiveness of Police Crime Control

  • The main purpose of the research is to examine impact of organizational justice and perceived organizational support on effectiveness of crime control in police organizations. This research employs a survey questionnaire to measure organizational justice, perceived organizational support, and effectiveness of crime control. The number of subject of the study is 285 police officers working in Daegu metropolitan city and some cities of Gyeongsangbuk-do province. The study employs regression analysis to analyze the effect of organizational justice and perceived organizational support on police performance. As the result of analysis, the effect of organizational justice on effectiveness of crime control is statistically significant at the level 0.01, perceived organizational support at the level 0.05. The key finding of this study is that in the performance-based management system, the reciprocal relationships between managers and individual officers with organizational justice and perceived organizational support play an important role in building a sustainable growth system in the police.

아버지의 유아기 자녀양육 참여 (Fathers′ Involvement on Their Infant Care)

  • This study examines the father involvement during the infancy period. In order to explore the influence of the father's characteristics, the infant's characteristics and the contextual sources of stress and support on reports of father-infant interaction and paternal responsibility 500 fathers are studied. Results show that fathers in this sample are not regularly involved in the caretaking and the play tasks. The caretaking tasks are most significantly associated with fathers' emotional reaction while indirectly with the first baby, the difficult baby, and the marital satisfaction. The play tasks differ somewhat by their work hours and the marital satisfaction.

The Relationship between Counselor's Emotional Labor and Psychological exhaustion : The Moderating Effects of Social Support

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the implications of social welfare workers' understanding of emotional labor and prevention of psychological exhaustion. In order to achieve this goal, I analyzed the effects of the levels of surface acting and deep acting, which are components of emotional labor in social welfare workers in social welfare center, on emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and lack of sense of personal accomplishment which are components of psychological exhaustion. And I empirically analyzed how emotional labor affects psychological exhaustion, when superior support and fellow support as components of social support play a role as moderating variables. Empirical results show that emotional labor affects psychological exhaustion and social support plays a moderating role. Based on these results, theoretical and policy implications and future research directions are presented.

지체장애 아동을 위한 옥외 놀이시설 (Playground Facilities for Physically Challenged Children)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study and propose playground facilities for physically challenged children to cultivate adaptability in society and advances the opportunity of participate in physical exercise. This study carried out site investigations by visiting and inspecting various facilities: a recreational walking path for physically challenged people, a care facility for physically challenged children, a special school for physically challenged children, and "Madel Park", a private-use playground for physically challenged children. The result of the site investigation found that, overall, play facilities are difficult to use for physically challenged children. In addition, because park space is often small and narrow, children who are restricted to wheelchairs find it impossible to access such facilities. By carefully inspecting each of the facilities, the author found suitable elements to apply for outside play space. These elements include the introduction of an essential slope way to allow for safe movement, the provision of special seats which support the body to outside play equipment and the adaptation of treatment room instruments that assist balance to outdoor playground facilities. On the basis of the site investigation the interview and the indoor education program for physically challenged children the author completed an outside play program. Each item in this program was classified as belonging to either a "sense play" program or and "exercise play" program. Finally, the author designed suitable play equipment for physically challenged children corresponding to each item in the exercise programs in order to research the appropriateness of the equipment to its intended use. This research is the first step. From this point the author expects that specific applications will be developed through a practical space plan and sufficient clinical experiments involving use of the new equipment.

예비유아교사의 놀이성과 놀이교수효능감과의 관계 (A Study of The Relationship Pre-Service Early Childhood Teacher's Playfulness and Play Teaching Efficacy)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사의 놀이성과 놀이교수효능 간의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 대구 지역 K전문대학 유아교육과에 재학 중인 3학년 145명이다. 연구를 위해서 놀이성과 놀이교수효능감 설문지를 사용하여 검사 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0프로그램을 사용하여, 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관분석, 단계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비유아교사의 놀이성과 놀이교수효능감 모두 보통수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 놀이성과 놀이성은 유의미하게 상관관계가 있었다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 놀이성이 놀이교수효능감에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 알아본 결과 주로 놀이성의 하위변인 중 쾌활성과 즉흥성이 주로 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

구성놀이에서 드러나는 유아들의 과학적 사고과정 탐색 : 재미반의 사례를 중심으로 (An Exploration into the Process of Scientific Thinking on the part of Young Children as seen through Constructive Play : Focusing on the Cases of the Jaemi Class)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the process of scientific thinking as it is revealed through the cases of constructive play for young children. For this purpose, the researcher observed and interviewed six four-year-olds in the Jaemi Class while recording them with a camcorder during a free choice activity class in the morning from April 23 to June 25, 2012. The observations were analyzed in chronological order according to the changes of theories and structure as presented by the children themselves. The process of scientific thinking in constructive play for young children can be divided into presentation of naive theories, the abandonment of naive theories according to repetitive experiences and the discovery of inconsistency, the representation of alternative theories, and the abandonment of alternative theories according to repetitive experiences and the discovery of contradictions. On the basis of the results, constructive play has proved to serve a valuable educational function by inducing scientific thinking processes in children. On the basis of this finding, the researcher suggests the need to provide appropriate educational support to teachers.

스마트 메모리 태그를 위한 Touch & Play 기반 저전력 소모 관리 기법 (A Low Power Consumption Management Scheme Based on Touch & Play for Smart Memory Tags)

  • QR/NFC tags have been utilized in various fields like exhibition, museum, and so on, but they have a drawback that they are read-only fundamentally. We devise a novel device called a smart memory tag (below mem-tag) which is supplemented with the write function through combining a flash memory into a NFC tag. A mem-tag is composed of an NFC tag, an MCU, a flash memory, a bluetooth module, and a battery, and is inter-operating with smartphones via bluetooth communication. It can be used in a bulletin board to support writing replies and in a check-in service to verify the presence of the site. What matters is that users' inter-operations are borne to be asynchronous, which leads to the energy consumption to wait for users' actions. Sleep mechanisms and asynchronous MAC protocols used in ubiquotous sensor networks cannot avoid the consumption of battery. In this paper, we propose a touch and play scheme for minimizing the consumption of battery that the MCU wakes up and PLAY when a user TOUCH the mem-tag. We implemented the system to show that our scheme lets the mem-tag work 50 times longer than the sleep and wake-up scheme.

웹기반 다차원 민군겸용 인터액티브 디지털 콘텐츠의 효과적인 구현 방안 (An Effective Implementation Method for Dual Use of Web-based Multidimensional Interactive Digital Contents)

  • Active catalog is a kind of digital content that enables consumers to test the functions and features of products from their PCs as if they were using it in real life, by simulating the actions and responses of the product. This new type of interactive digital content can be used extensively to make sales personnel training manuals, sales tools, user manuals and user trouble shooting documents. With active catalogs, companies will be able to compare different designs, show actions according to different functions, and evaluate user reaction to new products without having to produce a single physical prototype or mock-up. At the same time, consumers will be able to understand and 'operate' the product and make well-informed purchase decisions. In this paper, we present a visual event-driven modeling tool, PlayMo, for creating active catalogs, analyze the advantages of using PlayMo, describe the event-driven method used by PlayMo and also introduce two enhanced characteristics of the Event Flow Chart with which the events in PlayMo are structured. Interactive digital content by using the PlayMo3D makes easy, simple and effective design for e-learning, e-catalogue, e-marketing/sales, e-prototyping, customer support, etc. Through its application-ready 3D function visualization solution, engineers and designers can rapidly turn a CAD design model into a 3D interactive virtual product, and the effective function prototyping job can be also completed within a minute.

Antecedents to Entrepreneurship Behavior: Moderating Role of Social Support and Entrepreneurial Self Efficacy among Business Students

  • Considerable agreement exists about the importance of promoting entrepreneurship in both developed and developing countries. In less developed countries, governments see entrepreneurship as a way to stimulate economic development and tackle serious economic and social challenges. So how can countries encourage young people to become entrepreneurs? Research confirms that intentions play an important role in the decision to start a new firm and many factors influence that intentions. The purpose of the study was to investigate the antecedents to entrepreneurship behavior with particular attention to moderating role of social support and entrepreneur self-efficacy. The study covered 116 business students of undergraduate and post graduate level studying under different universities in Kathmandu, Nepal. The questionnaire for data collection was distributed in college groups via WhatsApp and viber with the support and permission from the college administration. The study design used was correlational with a sampling procedure of convenience. The study only showed the impact of attitude to entrepreneurship behavior as well as moderating effect of social support was also observed.

사회적지지가 남녀청소년의 학교적응에 미치는 영향: 삶의 만족도의 매개효과 (The Effect of Social Support on Adolescents' School-Related Adjustments: The Mediation Effect of Life Satisfaction)

  • The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between social support, life satisfaction, and school-related adjustments of adolescents. The participants were 260 junior high school students (140 male and 120 female students) from the Seoul area. They completed questionnaires on social support, life satisfaction, and school-related adjustments. The collected data were analyzed using basic descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and a multiple regression analysis. Baron and Kenny's method was used and examined, and the Sobel test was performed to determine the mediating model's significance. It was adapted to SPSS ver. 19.0 for Windows. The major findings were as follows: first, social support (parents/teacher/friend) was positively correlated with the adolescents' school-related adjustment. Second, the adolescents' life satisfaction was also positively correlated with the adolescents' school-related adjustments. In addition, social support was positively correlated with life satisfaction. It was further found that the adolescents' life satisfaction tended to play a perfectly/partially mediating role between social support and school-related adjustment; that is, social support (parents/teacher/friend) was shown to have not only a direct effect, but also an indirect effect through the adolescents' life satisfaction, on the school-related adjustments. These results clearly indicated that adolescents' life satisfaction plays a crucial role in the relationship between social support and the adolescents' school-related adjustments.
