콘크리트 CO2 저감을 고려한 혼화재 및 단위 결합재 양의 설계 (Design of Supplementary Cementitious Materials and Unit Content of Binder for Reducing CO2 Emission of Concrete)

  • 이 연구에서는 2464개의 시멘트 콘크리트 배합과 776개의 혼화재가 치환된 혼합 시멘트 콘크리트 배합을 포함하는 실험 데이터베이스를 이용하여 콘크리트 압축강도 및 혼화재 치환율에 따른 콘크리트 $CO_2$ 배출량을 평가하였다. 국내 생애주기 데이터 목록에 기반한 콘크리트 $CO_2$ 평가에서 고려된 시스템은 요람에서 현장 콘크리트 타설 전까지로서 구성재료, 운반 및 생산단계를 포함하고 있다. 콘크리트의 성능 효율성 지표로서 결합재 지수와 $CO_2$ 지수가 분석되었으며, 콘크리트 $CO_2$ 배출량을 평가하기 위한 단순 식이 각 혼화재의 치환비 및 콘크리트 압축강도의 함수로서 제시되었다. 따라서 이 제안된 모델은 목표 압축강도 및 목표 시멘트 콘크리트 대비 $CO_2$ 배출 저감율을 만족하는 콘크리트 배합설계를 위하여 단위 결합재 양 및 혼화재 종류와 치환비를 결정하는 데 가이드 라인으로서 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Transgenic Expression of MsHsp23 Confers Enhanced Tolerance to Abiotic Stresses in Tall Fescue

  • Tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb.) is an important cool season forage plant that is not well suited to extreme heat, salts, or heavy metals. To develop transgenic tall fescue plants with enhanced tolerance to abiotic stress, we introduced an alfalfa Hsp23 gene expression vector construct through Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. Integration and expression of the transgene were confirmed by polymerase chain reaction, northern blot, and western blot analyses. Under normal growth conditions, there was no significant difference in the growth of the transgenic plants and the non-transgenic controls. However, when exposed to various stresses such as salt or arsenic, transgenic plants showed a significantly lower accumulation of hydrogen peroxide and thiobarbituric acid reactive substances than control plants. The reduced accumulation of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances indicates that the transgenic plants possessed a more efficient reactive oxygen species-scavenging system. We speculate that the high levels of MsHsp23 proteins in the transgenic plants protect leaves from oxidative damage through chaperon and antioxidant activities. These results suggest that MsHsp23 confers abiotic stress tolerance in transgenic tall fescue and may be useful in developing stress tolerance in other crops.

해양플랜트 작업환경이 어류분포에 미치는 영향 (Effects of off-shore plant operating condition on fish distribution)

  • The objective of this study was to prove possible effects of a habitable place for fish around semi-submersible drilling rig which measured underwater radiated noise, irradiance distribution of rig's light and conducted experimental fishing in Malaysia territory and observed for distribution of fishes around the rig by ROV during drilling operation in the East Sea of Korea. As a result underwater radiated noise was $130dB/{\mu}Pa$ from 156.25 to 187.50 Hz, irradiance distribution of light was between 21.5 and 43.1 lx. Despite this result, underwater radiated noise was not a threat to fish around rig and low irradiance distribution of light also played a role in the luring influence of the fishes at night. Fish showed up in the beginning of drilling operation and at the end of drilling operation. However, there are few fish in the midst of drilling operation. The main reason for this result was the destruction of the habitable place due to blow out mud and broken pieces of ground formation in drilling hole. The results are expected to contribute to reasonable fishery management around rig.

Genetic Analysis of Photoinhibition in Barley

  • Winter cereals are acclimated during wintering, and thereafter their freezing resistance is increased. In order to analyze inheritance and heritabilities for photoinhibition of photosynthesis by high light intensity under low temperature, and to evaluate the relationship between low temperature-induced photoinhibition and winter survival, 4 parental half diallel crosses were used. The detached leaves of 7-8cm long from plants grown for 35 and 55 days were placed on wet filter paper and placed in trays at 5$^{\circ}C$ cold room with 1,200 $\mu$mol $m^{-2}$ $s^{-1}$ PPFD. Chlorophyll fluorescence was measured with a chlorophyll fluorescence system after dark adaptation for 30 min. The Fv/Fm of 35day old plants was reduced from 0.714 in the control leaves to 0.409 and 0.368 following photoinhibitory treatment of 6h and 8h and the CVs were increased from 0.8% to 22.2-22.3%. The Fv/Fm of 55-day old plants was reduced from 0.775 in the control leaves to 0.485 and 0.439 following photoinhibitory treatment of 10h and 12h, respectively. According to half diallel cross analysis, Reno and Dongbori 1 (highly resistant to photoinhibition) was dominant, but Oweolbori (susceptible to photoinhibition) was recessive, and photoinhibition showed partial dominance with highly additive gene action. Dongbori 1 showed the greatest GCA effects for photoinhibition, and GCA/SCA ratios (8.7-22.3 times) indicated that the additive variance for the character was more important. Winter survival in barley crosses was positively correlated with resistance to photoinhibition and significantly fitted by linear regression ($R^2$=0.751$^{**}$-0.779$^{**}$). The chlorophyll fluorescence measured by Fv/Fm has been found to be highly inheritable and very useful in evaluating relative levels of freezing resistance in barley.ley.

External Gelation 방법을 이용한 구형 UO3 Gel 입자 제조 (Spherical UO3 Gel Preparation Using the External Gelation Method)

  • HTGR (High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor) is spotlighted to next generation nuclear power plant for producing the clean hydrogen gas and the electricity. In this study, the spherical $UO_3$ gel particles were prepared by the external gelation process, and the characteristics of these particles were analyzed the particle shape, composition of precipitate, and thermal decomposition characteristics with the Streoscope, FT-IR, and X-ray diffractometer. Raw material of the ADUN (Acid Deficient Uranyl Nitrate) solution, which has [$NO_3$]/[U] mole ratio = 1.75, was obtained from dissolution of the $U_{3}O_{8}$ powder with concentrated $HNO_3$, and its concentration is 3.5 M-U/l. The broth solution is prepared with the ADUN, urea, PVA, and THFA solution. The droplets of the broth solution was made through a nozzle system. From this study, we obtained the following results; 1) an externel chemical gelation process is a suitable method in the spherical $UO_3$ particle production, 2) the particle shape are changed by an urea mixing time, THFA volume, and the viscosity of the broth solution, 3) the amorphous $UO_3$ particles obtained from these experiments was converted to $U_{3}O_{8}$ and then $UO_2$ by heat treatment in hydrogen atmosphere at $600^{\circ}C$.

노후화된 제조공장의 고도화 방법에 관한 연구 (A study on the advanced method of aging manufacturing factory)

  • 대한민국의 제조 산업을 둘러보면 현재 노후화된 제조 공장이 많다. 실제로 제조 공장에서 제품의 재고관리나 제품의 단가 관리 등을 전부 엑셀을 만들어 수기로 작성하거나 그것을 이용하여 공장을 운영 하고 있다. 또한 작업자가 작업 시 해당 제품을 만들기 위해 설비에 대해 고장을 예측 할 수가 없다. 이에 관한 문제점으로 관리자 및 작업자 사이의 지시 및 작업 과정에서 해당 문서가 손실 될 수 있으며 관리자와 작업자의 의사소통이 제대로 되지 않아 재고관리나 해당 지시한 작업에 대해 제대로 작업량을 채우지 못하고 또한 작업자가 해당 설비에 대해 고장을 인지하지 못하고 그 설비를 계속 사용하여 작업을 진행하는 상황이 발생한다. 이에 따라 효율적인 재고관리와 단가관리, 생산량 파악 및 작업자의 해당 설비의 고장예지를 미리 예측하여 제품의 생산성 및 생산량을 높이기 위해 본 연구인 노후화 된 제조공장의 고도화 방법에 관한 연구를 진행 해보자 한다.

Effects of Water Deficit and UV-B Radiation on Accumulation of Functional Metabolites in Crops: A Review

  • With increasing social concerns for healthy food, the studies on the cultivation of crops to increase accumulation of functional metabolites in crops have been investigated. Accumulation of the metabolites in crops is highly affected by various types of stress, such as nutrient deficiency, water deficit (WD), extreme temperature and UV-B radiation as well as their own life cycle. This review summarizes the previous studies on the effects of environmental stresses, especially WD and UV-B radiation, on accumulation of functional metabolites in crops. UV-B radiation and WD during specific period (mainly at maturation stage) activates the adaptation and/or defense system in crops, thereby increasing biosynthesis of the metabolites. Although WD and UV-B radiation tend to decrease in crop yield, the decrease can be compensated by the production of high value crops having high content of functional metabolites.

감자 바이러스 무균종묘의 대량생산과 플러그화에 관한 기초 연구 (Production of Plug Plantlets for Mass Propagation Using Stem Cuttings of Virus Free Microtubers in Potato)

  • 감자의 생장점 배양을 통하여 생산된 소량의 소괴경(microtuber)을 경삽하여 균일하게 생장된 플러그우량묘를 대량생산할 수 있는 기술을 개발하기 위하여 삽수를 정단 및 기부부위로 구분하고 NAA 및 IAA 10 mg /1 용액에 2시간 침지하여 cocopeat, vermiculite, perlite, peatmoss 혼용배지를 이용한 삽목과 온로장 처리 ,포장정식후 괴경형성효을에 대하여 시험한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 감자의 소괴경 유내 줄기를 이용한 플러그 삽목시 고체배지는 cocopeat, vermiculite, perlite, peatmoss를 이용한 혼합배지에서 플러그의 형성율이 양호하게 나타났다. 2. 고온장일조건(2$0^{\circ}C$이상, 16시간의 일장)에서는 지상부생육 및 지하부발근이 양호하였으나, 외부방치구에서는 발근이 부진하고 복지가 발생하여 소괴경이 형성되었다. 3. 지상, 지하부 생체중은 생장조절제 전처리시 NAA 10mg/1 및 IAA 10mg/1 간에 차이가 없었다. 4. 삽수부위별로는 삽목묘의 초기생육은 초장에서는 비슷한 경향이었고, 그 외 엽수, 근수, 근장 등의 형질은 정단부위묘가 양호하였지만, 포장정식 후에는 큰 차이가 없었다. 5. 삽목묘를 봄재배하여 괴경형성여부를 시험한 결과 초장은 70~80cm, 복지수 10여개, 괴경수는 7~8개가 형성되었다.

토직, 상토 및 양액육묘에 의해 생산된 묘삼의 본포 이식 후 생장특성 (Growth Characteristics of Ginseng Seedling Transplanting by Self Soil Nusery, Nursery or Hydroponic Culture on Main Field)

  • Background: The production method of ginseng seedlings for ginseng cultivation is very important to ensure healthy rooting system as well as high quality, and yield of the resultant plants. This study was carried out to compare the growth characteristics of 2-year-old ginseng plants that were produced from seedlings grown in self soil nursery (SSN), nursery soil (NS) or hydroponic culture (HC). Methods and Results: The shading prop used was composed of four-layered 4 polyethylene (blue 3 + black 1) shade screen. The management of main field was done by inserting oil cake (1,200 kg/10 a) and then allowing Sudan grass to grow for a year. Seedling transplantation was carried out on April 6. Root growth was measured on October 25. Root weight was observed to be excellent at 6.0 g, following SSN transplantation. Root length was 21.2 cm for HC seedlings, but these plants had a physiological disorder (i.e., rusty root), in 83.5% plants of this treatment. The ratio of PD/PT (protopanaxadiol saponins / protopanaxatriol saponins) was higher in NS seedlings. Plant analysis revealed that Fe content was lower in HC seedlings with high rustiness. The growth of 2-years-old ginseng was different following these varying seedling cultivation methods, but seedlings from NS were not different from those grown in SSN. Conclusions: For the propagation of 2-year-old ginseng plants, NS seedlings may be a good substitute for SSN seedlings.

호르몬 및 배지 고형제를 이용한 알스트로메리아 식물체 대량증식 체계 확립 (Establishment of propagation system for Alstroemeria plants by using hormones and gelling agents)

  • 알스트로메리아는 경제적으로 중요한 절화 작물 중 하나이다. 그러나 낮은 증식률과 번식기간이 길고 바이러스 질병 감염이 높기 때문에 대량증식이 어렵다고 알려져 있다. 따라서 기내 조직배양을 이용한 대량증식 시스템 쳬계 확립이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 BA와 NAA 그리고 여러 가지 배지 고형제를 이용하여 알스트로메리아 최적의 생장 효율을 찾기 위하여 실험을 진행하였다. 먼저 BA 1.0 mg/L 와 NAA 0.1 mg/L를 첨가한 배지에서 무처리구에 비하여 신초 및 뿌리의 개수가 약 1.5배 증가하였고 비대한 신초와 뿌리를 나타내었다. 여러 가지 배지 고형제들 중 gelrite 0.25%를 첨가한 배지에서 타 처리구에 비해 최대 50% 향상된 길이를 나타내었고, 근경 개수 및 생체중 증가량에 있어서도 가장 높은 효율을 나타내었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 알스트로메리아 신품종 개발 및 대량증식 시스템 체계 확립에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.
