From now, we've made a study of Korean Clothing about our Royal family's or high birth person's and made little of our plain folk's. Our traditional clothing is plain folk's clothing and that is our fundamental clothing, so plain folk's clothing has an important part in our life. In this point, first we were concerned about the plain folk woman's clothing in the plain folk's clothing and it consists of the way of ethnographic method like listening from the lod about their contant living wear-daily wear. This research covers the time from the end of the Yee-Dynasty to 1950's and the place, each province where the primitive dwellers still live and respondent's age range is about from 60 to 80. In the viwepoint of our climate and construction, women should be over-worn an underwear and they have worn the underwear for the purpose of their heating and the inflating of the skirt. The end of the Yee-Dynasty, high society person wore underwear 7-8 layers thick and also the sow society person wore it 3-4 layers thick. The Plain folk woman clothing's basic system is the skirt and Korean jacket and dari-sok-got, sok-sok-got, pants, dan-sok-got as an underwear, and Korean socks and Korean shoes(straw shoes) are added. This research discusses these clothing by dividing them into each part and enlighten the peculiarity, shape, cloth and how to construct and especially about the difficult-making Korean jacket, we handled the method of rough guess sizing. As the result, we found that each province had a similar peculiarity in the general clothing but they had a different cloth name and a wearing method. Especially, An-dong an Eum-sung, they'd worn their own traditional wear, sal-chang-hojaengiee. We made a good product of rough guess sizing data those have not been known.

This study was conducted to evaluate the quality of the plain dried anchovies on the market by determining chemical components, and compared with those of boiled-dried anchovy. The nutritional(total amino acid contents, mineral contents and fatty acid compositions) and favorite properteis (extratives nitrogen content, color and appearance) of plain dried anchovies were superior to those of boiled-dried anchovy. On the other hand, the lipid properties (peroxide value and acid value), food sanitary properteis (volatile basic nitrogen content) and sensory properties (odor) of plain dried anchovies were inferior to boiled-dried anchovy. These results indicated that the plain dried anchovy was classified into lower grade goods by food quality standards.

This work studies for boiling and condensation heat transfer performance of trapezoidally shaped integral-fin tubes having fin densities from 748fpm to 1654fpm. For comparison, tests are made using a plain tube having the same inside and outside diameter as that of the root of fins of finned tubes. Hahne's theoretical model and Webb's theoretical model are used to predict the R-11 boiling heat transfer coefficient and condensing heat transfer coefficient respectively for plain tube and all integral-fin tubes. Experiments are carried out using R-11 as working fluid. This work is limited to film-wise condensation and pool boiling on the outside surface of plain tube and 4 low integral-fin tubes. In case of condensation, the refrigerant condenses at saturation state of 32$^{\circ}C$ on the outside tube surface cooled by coolant and in case of boiling. the refrigerant evaporates at saturation state of 1bar on the outside tube surface. The amount of non-con-densable gases in the test loop is reduced to a negligible value by repeated purging. The actual boiling and condensing processes occur on the outside tube surfaces. Hence the nature of this surface geometry affects the heat transfer performances of condenser and evaporator in refrigerating system. The condensation heat transfer coefficient of integral-fin tube is enhanced by both extended tube surface area and surface tension. The ratio of the condensation heat transfer coefficients of finned to plain tubes is greater than that of surface area of finned to plain tubes, while ratio of the boiling heat transfer coefficient of finned to plain tubes shows reverse result. As a result, low integral-fin tube can be used in condenser more effectively than used in evaporator.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to evaluate the dosimetric properties of robust planning strategy for plain intensity-modulated proton therapy (IMPT) taking into account of the uncertainties of effective proton range and set up error as compared to photon intensity-modulated radiation therapy (photon-IMRT) in prostate cancer treatment. Materials and Methods: The photon-IMRT (7 beams, step & shoot), plain-IMPT (2, 4, and 7 portals), and robust- IMPT plans, which was recalculated the plain-IMPT based on the uncertainties of range error (${\pm}5%$) and set up error (0.5 cm), were evaluated for five prostate cancer patients prescribed by 70 Gy/35 fractions. To quantitatively evaluate the dose distributions, several parameters such as maximum dose, minimum dose, mean dose, conformity index (CI), and homogeneity index (HI) for PTV as well as dose-volume index of VxGy for OARs were calculated from dose-volume histograms. Results: Robust-IMPT showed superior dose distributios in the PTV and OARs as compared to plain-IMPT and photon-IMRT. Like plain-IMPT, robust-IMPT were resulted in dose fluctuation around OARs, while better homogeneity and conformity in PTVs and lower mean dose in OARs as compared to photon-IMRT. Conclusion: In consideration with the effective range correction and set up movement using robustness in IMPT plan, the dosimetric uncertainties from plain-IMPT could substantially reduce and suggest more effective solutions than photon-IMRT in prostate cancer treatment.
This study examined the excavated clothes of Lady Sim Cheongsong(1753~1810) in Jecheon which were excavated in 2012. Lady Sim died at the age of 57 and the excavated relics belonged to the 18th and 19th centuries. The excavated relics consisted of 9 pieces of three-kind-clothes. They showed various qualities such as Plain-Silk, Plaited-Silk, Patterned Twill, Plain Twill, Plain Satin, and Satin Damask. Through comparing them with the other excavated clothes of the 18th and 19th centuries, we can comprehend the periodical changes of the excavated Jegori and Yeomo (the hat for a dead woman). The excavated Jegori shows the difference of length and form from the other Jegori of the 18th century. The total length of the excavated Jegori ranged from 24 cm to 25 cm, which is 10 cm shorter than that of the other Jegori of the 18th century. The excavated hat for a dead woman shows the changes of the form and needlework. The form of a rectangular cover was changed into that of a round shape. In regards to the sewing composition, the way of inserting the cover into Mosin(the body of the hat for a dead woman) was replaced by that of connecting the cover into Mosin. The excavated clothes show three kinds of textile fabrics: plain silk fabrics and plaited silk, plain twill and four-leaf-patterned twill, eight-leaf-plain satin of life-lettered textile and five-leaf satin damask, and plain satin. Especially, the combination of eight-leaf satin and four-leaf twill with mixed textile is considered as a fabric of high quality. The excavated clothes of Lady Sim Cheongsong showed a periodical change which was different from the clothes of the 18th century in terms of the formal composition of Jegori and Yeomo. Regarding Women's Jegori a short length and slim and long sleeves are changed into short and tight Jegori, which signaled the specific change of Jegori aesthetics. The significance of the excavated clothes of Lady Sim Cheongsong lies in its role as the bases for understanding the couture culture of the 19th century.

For the effective use of under-utilized resources, silver-stripe round herring (SSRH), the plain-dried SSRH was investigated and compared with boiled-dried SSRH and boiled-dried anchovy on the food component and sensual characterization. Moisture content and salinity of the plain-dried SSRH were 31.9% and 7.6%, respectively. Moisture content of the plain-dried SSRH was higher, while the salinity was lower than those of boiled-dried SSRH and anchovy. According to the results of peroxide value, fatty acid composition, Hunter b value, and browning index, the rancidity was higher in plain-dried SSRH than in boiled-dried SSRH and anchovy. When compared to the boiled-dried SSRH and anchovy, the plain-dried SSRH was higher in calcium and phosphorus contents, while lower in total content of amino acid. According to the results of hot-water soluble-N, trichloroacetic acid-N, free amino acid, and taste value, the taste of plain-dried SSRH was superior to those of the boiled-dried SSRH and anchovy. The results of chemical components and sensory evaluation indicated that the plained-dried SSRH could be substituted for boiled-dried anchovy classified into special grade, if fish odor of SSRH can be improved.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the fracture characteristics of ductile fiber reinforced cement based composites with 1.5 volume ratio of polyvinyl alcohol and steel fiber by high velocity impact of steel projectile. We used gunpowder impact facility to evaluate the fracture characteristics of ductile fiber reinforced cement based composites by collision of steel projectile, and the impact velocity was from about 150 to 1,000m/s. The results of evaluation on the fracture characteristics of ductile fiber reinforced cement based composites were penetration grade, which is the kinetic energy more than three times of no-fiber reinforced specimen (Plain). In addition, ductile fiber reinforced cement based composites did not occurred critical damage other than the debris. In the case of mass loss, Plain specimen was proportional to kinetic energy of steel projectile, while ductile fiber reinforced cement based composites was not significantly affected by kinetic energy of steel projectile. In particular, this tendency had a close relationship with the fracture characteristics of back side of specimens, and the scabbing inhibiting efficiency of PVA specimen was higher than S specimen. In the results of verifying relationship between front and back side calculated by local damage, scabbing occurred at the region close to the back side in the ductile fiber reinforced cement based composites unlike Plain specimen. Thus, in this study, we examined principal fracture behaviors of ductile fiber reinforced cement based composites under collision of steel projectile, and verified that impact resistance performance was improved as compared to Plain specimen.

This study investigates the engineering properties of the high strength concrete depending on dosages and types of shrinkage reduction agent. Test results showed that for the properties of fresh concrete, the addition of the conventional shrinkage reduction agent (SR) of 0.25% decreased slump flow up to 40% as compared with control concrete, whereas the addition of the emulsified waste cooking oil (EWCO) decreased slump flow of only 5% to 10%. Other properties of fresh concrete with the agents, namely air content, unit weight and setting time, were similar to the results of the control concrete. For the properties of hardened concrete, the compressive strength of the concrete with SR decreased at both early and later stage. However, the compressive strength of the concrete with EWCO was similar to the control concrete at early age, but decreased at later stage (up to 10% reduction at 28 days). For the effect of the agents on autogenous shrinkage of the concretes, the addition of EWCO decreased up to 33%, whereas that of SR decreased up to 29%. Hence, it can be said that the addition of EWCO in high strength concrete has an effect on reducing the autogenous shrinkage as compared with a conventional agent and only slight influence on the slump flow and air content of concrete. By taking all aspects of using EWCO, it is concluded that the optimum content of EWCO will be in the range of between 0.5% and 0.75%.
The study primarily aims to examine the characteristics of the transition from natural landscape to modern agricultural landscape on the Daesan plain in Dong-myeon, Changwon-si, in the lower reaches of the Nakdong River. The periods covered in the transition include the late Joseon Dynasty, the early Japanese colonial period, and the late Japanese colonial period. The study concluded the following: It was found that the Daesan Plain used to function as a hydrophilic landscape before it formed into a rural landscape. This is characterized by the various water resources in the Plain, primarily by the Nakdong River, with its back marsh tributaries, the Junam Reservoir and Jucheon. To achieve its recent form, the Daesan Plain was subjected to human trial and error. Through installation of irrigation facilities such as embankments and sluices, the irregularly-shaped wetlands were transformed into large-scale farmlands while the same irrigation facilities underwent constant renovation to permanently stabilize the rural landscape. These processes of transformation were similarly a product of typical colonial expropriation. During the Japanese colonial period, Japanese capitalists initiated the construction of private farms which led to the national land development policy by the Governor-General of Korea. These landscape changes are indicative of resource capitalism depicted by the expansion of agricultural production value by the application of resource capital to undeveloped natural space for economic viability. As a result, the hierarchical structure was magnified resulting to the exacerbation of community and economic structural imbalances which presents an alternative yet related perspective to the evolution of landscapes during the Japanese colonial period. In addition, considering Daesan Plain's vulnerability to changing weather conditions, natural processes have also been a factor to its landscape transformation. Such occurrences endanger the sustainability of the area as when floods inundate cultivated lands and render them unstable, endangering residents, as well as the harvests. In conclusion, the Daesan Plain originally took the form of a hydrophilic landscape and started significantly evolving into a rural landscape since the Japanese colonial period. Human-induced land development and geophysical processes significantly impacted this transformation which also exemplifies the several ways of how undeveloped natural landscapes turn into mechanized and capitalized rural landscapes by colonial resource capitalism and development policies.
In this study, we characterized the seasonal variation of rainrate fields in the Han river basin using the WGR multi-dimensional precipitation model (Waymire, Gupta, and Rodriguez-Iturbe, 1984) by estimating and comparing the parameters derived for each month and for the plain area, the mountain area and overall basin, respectively. The first-and second-order statistics derived from observed point gauge data were used to estimate the model parameters based on the Davidon-Fletcher-Powell algorithm of optimization. As a result of the study, we can find that the higher rainfall amount during summer is mainly due to the arrival rate of rain bands, mean number of cells per cluster potential center, and raincell intensity. However, other parameters controlling the mean number of rain cells per cluster, the cellular birth rate, and the mean cell age are found invariant to the rainfall amounts. In the application to the downstream plain area and upstream mountain area of the Han river basin, we found that the number of storms in the mountain area was estimated a little higher than that in the plain area, but the cell intensity in the mountain area a little lower than that in the plain area. Thus, in the mountain area more frequent but less intense storms can be expected due to the orographic effect, but the total amount of rainfall in a given period seems to remain the same.
