  • As the role of universities as a civic university contributing to regional development has been emphasized, industry-academic cooperation projects are increasingly focused on quadruple helix interactions of university, government, business and civic society. Drawing upon focus group interviews, we divided place-based industry-academic cooperation projects into four different types and stages of development, according to two indicators of network participation and network strength. Although the proportion of projects that were in the early stages of development was overwhelmingly high, some universities developed a close cooperative system with the local community to enhance the effectiveness of the industry-academic cooperation projects and to implement them in an advanced stage. These findings suggest that the LINC+ project, which has been criticized for its policy effectiveness, will not only contribute to enhancing policy effectiveness through place-based projects but also enhance the role of universities as the main body of regional innovation.

  • In the fourth industrial revolution, fashion students are expected to work with various technologies to show creativity. This study aimed to conduct project-based learning(PBL) in collaboration with industry experts to design and operate artificial intelligence(AI) in the practice subject of fashion curation through the industrial academic teaching method. We first looked at teaching methods and strategies incorporating PBL in various academic fields. Next, we analyzed fashion projects and fashion curation services applying AI. Then through the question-and-answer method and by consulting with industry experts, we developed a curriculum for AI fashion curation, applying PBL(fashion market and trend analysis; new styles and time, place, and occasion planning; AI machine learning data set production; curation model development; and evaluation) suitable for the university's educational environment, information technology company conditions, and fashion students. As part of a close cooperation system with the industry, we conducted a 15-week Fashion Project II (Capstone Design) course and evaluated the outcomes and student satisfaction with the course. Students were able to develop new style, and time, place, and occasion categories and to utilize strategies for AI fashion curation services reflecting the unique needs of Millennials and Generation Z. Students showed high satisfaction with the curriculum. Further, it was confirmed that the study successfully applied PBL in class using AI technology in fashion education.

  • This space is for the abstract of your study in English. Recently, we began to face a significant change in our daily lives due to the expansion of the use of smartphones. In this regard, this study aims at examining the mechanism of Smart Work, necessary for the creation of job, led by the use of smart devices, and ways of its development. Accordingly, this study defined concepts of Smart Work clearly and analyzed the convergence of information through IT, the exploitation of new markets, derived from information industry, along with foreign cases of job creation through ICT. Furthermore, change in people's cultural recognition is required for the place of smart Work. For example, cluster development based on the public-private cooperation will promote the creation of job. In addition, the cooperation of the academic world and the service industry will play a leading role in developing local economy. To attain this end, the policy support of government for Smart Work and the public-private cooperation are needed.

  • With the decline in the college student population and the increase in the youth unemployment rate, the university began to be interested in starting a business. Under the initiative of the government, the start-up support project was reflected in the university's educational programs, which led to the university students receiving various start-up support benefits. In response to the expansion of entrepreneurship education, various entrepreneurship education programs and support programs were applied in line with the government's efforts to start college students. As a result, students' entrepreneurial competence and willingness to start up increased. College student entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs are increasing. The increase of university student start-up companies is taking place in the entrepreneurial education environment within the university, and the support of university, community, and start-up support institutions for university student start-up, the starting point of the start-up ecosystem, is paying off. It can be seen that the youth entrepreneurship ecosystem based on university entrepreneurship education is in place. The university supports the entire business process from idea development, such as start-up classes, start-up club support, patent application support, prototype development support, and investment linkage. However, there is a university that develops and operates a unique program for each school and a university that does not. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an education program that can produce efficient results. The purpose of this study is to support the start-up program of the university to be the consumer-centered start-up support.

  • Purpose: The important things in space plan of a screening center are improving the spatial awareness by space systemization and minimizing the examination time for customers, and reducing the required time of screening work and maximizing the capacity for the screening center. Therefore, we tried to solve the problem of improving spatial awareness and reducing the examination time by using the pedestrian based discrete event simulation at the minimum cost. Methods: We have analyzed the drawbacks and the supplement points by comparing the floor plan at the time of opening and the current floor plan. Based on the analysis, we propose an improved plan which changes the location of the examination rooms and the number of services, and we also verify the improved plan based on simulation analyses. Results: 1) Through the analyses, we derived the drawbacks of the floor plan at the time of opening, and we realized that the current floor plan reflects the drawbacks. 2) The major reasons of the long examination time are the human traffic jam and the occurrence of queues due to unreasonable allocation of services. 3) Through the discrete event simulation analyses, it was possible to specify the place of the queues manually so as to use the given space fairly. 4) Using the discrete event simulation, it was possible to reduce the examination time and to improve the spatial awareness effectively at the minimum cost. Implications: Although the proposed simulation methodology in this paper is an analysis of the existing screening center, we expect that the proposed methodology will be used to develop a more efficient architectural design process by pre-applying the method to the course of designing a screening center and finding the suitability of the proposed method with the matched number of services.

  • Recently, IoT(Internet of Things) has been utilized in various fields provide a service to users by configuring a smart environment in a particular place. However, since the existing system does not change the operation and the task of the device according to the change of the surrounding environment, the user must operate passively every time the environment and the situation change. In this paper, we propose Situation-specific Task Control System based on real-time data classification. Sensor data is sent to the server and classified into real-time and non-real-time data, and then inserted into the decision tree to identify tasks according to the situation. In addition, the danger situation is divided into two stages, such as gas leakage and fire, and a warning message is sent. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the waste of electric power and the occurrence of malfunction, and it can be expected that the service with increased work efficiency will be provided.
