  • Tw types of Pb(Mn$\sub$1/3/Nb$\sub$2/3/)O$_3$+PZT Ceramics had been fabricated by hot-pressing method. One had cause grain and the other had fine grain doe to Cr$_2$O$_3$ addition. These specimen were poled by applying the DC electric field in various steps. The effects of thermal aging on their piezoelectric characteristics and temperature stability of the frequency were investigated.

  • The domain formation phenomena of {{{{ { LiLbO}_{ 3} }}}} crystals was investigated and the method for the periodic domain formation in {{{{ { LiLbO}_{ 3} }}}} single crystals during growth was proposed in this study. The strees-induced domain formation mechanism was proposed and explained. The strong piezoelectric effect of{{{{ { LiLbO}_{ 3} }}}} at elevated temperature would be the direct driving force for the inversion of the tensile component of the internal stresses can inverse the original direction of the spontaneous polarization.

  • 초음파센서(수신기)에 응용가능한 압전세라믹스를 제조하기 위하여 Ba변조된 Pb(ZR, Ti)O$_{3}$계 세라믹스에 MnO$_{2}$를 첨가하여 첨가량과 소성온도에 따른 영향을 조사하였다. 또한 제조된 압전세라믹스를 이용하여 초음파 수신기를 제작하여 수신특성을 확인하여 보았다. 그 겨로가 MnO$_{2}$가 0.4(wt%)첨가되었을 때 압전 g정수가 가장 크고 수신감도가 우수한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

  • PVDF 필름의 압전성과 결정구조와의 관계를 조사하기 위하여 X선 회절과 압전계수를 측정하였다. 코로나 분극처리된 PVDF의 압전계수는 분극전압에 비례하여 증가하고 결정구조도 .alpha.형, 극성.alpha.형, .betha.형의 순으로 변화하였다. 이와같은 결과로부터 PVDF의 압전특성은 결정영역내의 쌍극자 배향에 의한 결정구조변화에 기인됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • One of the current goals in memory device developments is to realize a nonvolatile memory, i.e., the stored information maintains even when the power is turned off. The representative candidates for nonvolatile memories are magnetic random access memory (MRAM) and ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM). In order to achieve a high density memory in MRAM device, the external magnetic field should be localized in a tiny cell to control the direction of spontaneous magnetization. (omitted)

  • The flexural vibration of aluminum beams with active and passive constrained-layer damping has been investigated experimentally to design structure with maximum possible damping capacity. Piezoelectric film is used as sensor and piezoceramic as actuator for negative velocity feedback control. This paper shows the effectiveness of active constrained-layer damping treatment through experiment, and we have carried out an experiment to study effect of beam thickness.
