To examine applicability of some optical indices from reflectance to estimate photosynthetic light use efficiency, photosynthesis, and narrow band spectral reflectance were simultaneously measured at various intensities of light with mongolian oak leaves. Narrow band of the broad-band NDVI was better than photochemical reflectance index and simple ratio to estimate photosynthetic light use efficiency in this study. Changes in spectral reflectance were detected at several wavelengths (540nm, 690nm, 740nm, and 800nm) associated with physiological status of plant leaves that could be components for new optical indices.

노화는 모든 사람에게 공통적으로 일어나는 자연스러운 현상이다. 그러나 이에 따른 신체적인 변화는 각 개인에 따라, 그리고 한 개인 안에서조차 각종 장기별로 다양한 속도로 진행된다. 노년기의 생리적인 변화는 예비용량(reserve capacity)의 저하에 따라 외부의 스트레스에 대처하여 항상성을 유지하는 능력이 감소되어 나타나게 된다. 안정적 상태에서 기능수준에는 큰 변화가 없으나 활동상태의 기능 수준은 연령증가에 따라 상당히 저하되는 것을 보여준다. 노년기의 생리적 변화에 따라 직병에 대한 감수성은 증가하나 대다수의 만성퇴행성질환은 특정 병리현상에 의해 발생하며 노화가 직접적인 원인으로 작용하지는 않는 것으로 알려지고 있다.

Postpartum physiological, psychosocial, and economic changes bring with them some disorders of maternal mind and body, so postpartum management has been emphasized to date. After labor, some problems may appear like uterine bleeding, infection, depression and ache in or around joints. Some reports from traditional medical practitioners remark that over 50% of postpartum women have complaints within or around joints. For this study, arrangement of nomenclature, criteria and historical summarization are needed.

Cognitive-behavioral approach to two cases with chronic headache was presented. Cognitive-behavioral interventions focus on indirectly altering symptom-related physiological activity by changing the way patients cope with headache-eliciting stressors. This treatment focuses directly on the patients' cognitive and behavioral changes. Cognitive-behavioral treatment can be divided into three phases Education, self-monitoring, and problem-solving or coping-skills training. Literature reviews on the follow-up evaluation of therapeutic effectiveness revealed that cognitive-behavioral treatment is effective in the management of chronic headache.

Parenteral nutrition (PN) is effective and relatively safe method providing nutrients to patients with a nonfunctioning or insufficiently functioning gastrointestinal tract via peripheral or central vein. In last several decades, useful steps have been taken in the understanding of nutritional needs, physiological changes and complications of intravenously fed patients. PN includes amino acids, glucose, lipids, electrolytes, vitamins, iron, minerals and trace elements, and must be based on individual circumstances such as patient's age, health status and disease. The purpose of this review is to introduce overall components and recent updates of parenteral nutrition.

Biological rhythms are very important phenomena to generate, grow a living thing. However, the origin of rhythms are not disclosed completely until now. Eack myocardial cell has a natural rhythm of itself, and synchronization is happened when two cells are come in contact with each other. In this research, a simple synchronization model has been proposed and studied, refering to the physiological model. The changes of the synchronization rhythms in experimental results are compared with that of the model.

최근 호주 및 미국의 오렌지나 사과 등의 과수재배에서는 천적과 함께 석유 유래의 petroleum spray oils (PSOs)을 이용한 병해충종합관리(IPM) 체계가 적극적으로 도입되고 있다. PSO 제제는 천적, 인축 및 환경잔류 독성이 낮으며 해충에 대해서는 호흡곤란 및 기피작용에 의한 방제효과로 약제저항성을 유발시키지 않는다는 장점이 있으나 식물독성 유발의 위험성 때문에 이용의 확대가 제한되었다.(중략)
