We can sec the case of hand injury patient in the industry field. Hand injury has more particularity than other injury cases. Because it is densely a lot of muscle, tendon, bone, vessels, and in progressing speedily to fibrosis, adhesion, stiffness than other joints. If it has baud injury, it is important to the physical therapy in early stage after operation. Otherwise, it is difficult to recover the function. Hand malfunction intimately has to do with the return to work and the grade of disability. There are many different hand injury cases but, we want to investigate several cases. : fracture. joint injury, tendon injury, and want to looking for treatment tine and method about these. So, we'll understand hand injury of industry disaster. and acknowledge of the importance of physical therapy in the early stage through these.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of treatment when the V{\ddot{o}}jta therapy applied to the infant with central coordination disturbance in early stage. The subject were 10 cases : each one with the V{\ddot{o}}jta therapy applied to the group of the infants before 6 months old and the group of the infants over 6 months old. When the V{\ddot{o}}jta therapy was applied I analized the papper which was written about the infants who were diagnosed as moderate CCD and divided two groups which were the infants before 6 months old and the infants over 6 months old. These collected data were analyzed by using t-test. The results of study were as follow; 1. When I compared the locomotion stage after the V{\ddot{o}}jta therapy. t-test showed significant differences. The group of infants before 6 months old had the result 7 to over stage 7 and the group of infants over 6months old had the result 2(p<.05). 2. When I compared the result of the postural reaction after the V{\ddot{o}}jta therapy, 1-test showed significant differences. The group of infants before 6 months old had 6 cases was normalizes and the group of infants over 6 months old had 1 case was normalized(p<.05). 3. When 1 compared the duration of the V{\ddot{o}}jta therapy between the group of infants before 6 months old and the group of infants over 6 months old. t-test showed significant differences. The group of the infants before 6 months old had 5 cases for 1-6 months and 4 cases for 7-15 months, 3 cases for 16-24 months and the group of infants over 6 months old had 6 cases for 7-15 months and cases for 16-24 months, 1 case for 25-30 months(p<.01).
Background: Many people are suffering from neck and shoulder pain due to muscle weakness, muscle fatigue, lack of exercise and accidents during exercise. In this study we compared the effects of McKenzie method and Mulligan technique method. Method: we randomly selected men(10) and women(10) and they are the 20s students of Busan material K college. We divided for McKenzie exercise group and Mulligan exercise group. McKenzie exercise and mulligan exercise applied cervical area three times a week for three weeks. We compared with pre-experiment and after 1~3 week through measuring the electromyography (EMG) change and neck range of motion (ROM). Results: The changes in the EMG at each exercise group, there was a statistically significant difference in each week. Although there was a significant difference after 1 week between the exercise group, the changes in the neck ROM at each exercise group there was no statistically significant difference. Conclusion: After experiment, EMG and neck ROM were increased in McKenzie exercise group and Mulligan exercise group. But Mulligan exercise group showed the change better than McKenzie exercise group in early stage. We suggest the Mulligan exercise method for recovering in early stage of neck ROM.
This study was conducted in order to determined the risk factors and general characteristics in stroke patients. This study was performed by interviewing a total of 92 hospitalized in Hanil hospital, Chinju and Eulji Medical Collage Hospital, Taejon from January 1, 1998 to February 28, 1999. The results are as follow; 1. Of the types of the strokes, hemorrhagic was 58.8%, ischemic was 41.1%. 2. The family history was appeared to 72.2% of total and did not exercise 64.1% of male and 59.5% of female during weak. 3. The korean peoples as the likes rather Chinese medicine and folk remedy than Wes-ern medicine so late treatment of early stage. 4. Generally, in drinking, smoking, fatness and overeating meat known to affect on stroke both male and female had signification difference. 5. These 75.5% of the subjects was recognizing to necessity of physical therapy.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is brain damage which is caused by the impact of external mechanical forces. TBI can lead to the temporary or permanent impairment of physical and cognitive abilities, resulting in abnormal behavior. We recently observed that a single session of early exercise in animals with TBI improved their behavioral performance in the absence of other cognitive abnormalities. In the present study, we investigated the therapeutic effects of continuous exercise during the early stages of TBI in rats. We found that continuous low-intensity exercise in early-stage improves the locomotion recovery in the TBI of animal models; however, it does not significantly enhance short-term memory capabilities. Moreover, continuous early exercise not only reduces the protein expression of cerebral damage-related markers, such as Glial Fibrillary Acid Protein (GFAP), Neuron-Specific Enolase (NSE), S100β, Protein Gene Products 9.5 (PGP9.5), and Heat Shock Protein 70 (HSP70), but it also decreases the expression of apoptosis-related protein BAX and cleaved caspase 3. Furthermore, exercise training in animals with TBI decreases the microglia activation and the expression of inflammatory cytokines in the serum, such as CCL20, IL-13, IL-1α, and IL-1β. These findings thus demonstrate that early exercise therapy for TBI may be an effective strategy in improving physiological function, and that serum protein levels are useful biomarkers for the predicition of the effectiveness of early exercise therapy.
Background: The patients common have side effects of cognitive and function dysfunction after a stroke. According to specific factors which influence quality of life(QoL), the QoL of stroke survivors are impacted resulting from diverse interactions. Therefore, This study aims to suggest that we determines the relationship between cognitive function and stage of physical recovery and the quality of life as well as the degree of recovery by cluster analysis of the relationship between the degree of physical recovery and the quality of life Design: Randomized Methods: The following tests were used in this study to evaluate cognitive function, recovery stages and quality of life respectively: Cognitive function was measured using Korea-Mini Mental State Examination(K-MMSE). For evaluation of recovery stages, Brunnstrom Rrecovery Stage(BRS), quality of life was measured using Stroke Specific -Quality Of Life(SS-QOL). The sample size of this study was calculated using G*Power Version 3.1.9.7 (Franz Faul, University kiel, Germany, 2020). Based on moderate effect size of 0.15, a significance level (α) of 0.05, and power of 0.90 in the two-sided test, the calculation revealed that 88 patients were required for questionnaires. Results: The results of this study showed significant positive correlation(p<0.05). As a result of cluster analysis, in the case of the physical recovery stage, the degree of physical recovery improves from cluster 1 to cluster 3 and in the case of the quality of life, the quality of life improves from cluster 1 to cluster 3. However, it was confirmed that the change in the quality of life of cluster 1 and cluster 2 was not significant. These results show that the degree of physical recovery has a greater impact on the quality of life in the late stages of physical recovery, while the degree of physical recovery does not have a significant effect on the quality of life in the early and mid-term of the physical recovery stage. Conclusion: This study confirms that cognitive function, recovery stages and quality of life have significant correlations, and the recovery status has impacted on quality of life.
To this is the concept and changes of physical treatment that intervenes the understanding and restoring cerebral infantile paralysis in the medical welfare of the social well-being areas: Cerebral palsy, originated by Littel in 1862 and reported as "The cerebral palsies" by William and Osler, come to have its name and meaning. The early stage of intervention generally accepted by the circle of physical treatment in the medical profession was introduced by Sax in 1964. In Sax' theory, cerebral palsy is defined as "the stumbling block in the bodily exercises and postures, causing by the intercurrent disease or physical, mental defect." As we have seen it is desirable that the abovementioned limited steps be removed and allow physical therapists to examine and to treat cerebral palsies. For this, first educational system should make its way to a substantial improvement and congenital abnormal Test should be rapidly expanding to great proportions the whole nation, not part of the low-income group. Physical therapists, cerebral palsies and their parents must combine to make cerebral palsies' welfare the crowning well being state. Physical therapists, cerebral palsies and their parents, forming of trinity, should combine to make cerebral palsies' welfare the Super-Welfare State existence.
The purpose of this study was to compare the changes of muscle activities in deltoid with those in supraspinatus using electromyography(EMG) while subjects abducted their shoulder to different angles with different resistance. Methods : 20 volunteers who were comprised of 10 males(mean age: $21.2{\pm}2.0$) and 10 females(mean age: $20.2{\pm}1.6$) were collected. Surface electrodes were attached on deltoid and supraspinatus muscle for recording. Each reference electrode was located 3 cm to the each recording electrode. Muscle action potentials were recorded with changing the angle of shoulder abduction, $30^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$. This procedure was repeated with different resistance 0 pound, 2 pounds, 4.5pounds. The angle of shoulder abduction was determined by clinical goniometer. SPSS(Statistical Program for Social Science)/WIN 10.0 was used for statistics. Analysis included ANOVA, T-test. Results : The following results were obtained in this study. 1. There was significant differences during isometric shoulder abduction $30^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$ comparing muscle activity in deltoid and supraspinatus muscles at 0 pound, 2pound, 4.5pound resistance(p<0.05). 2. There was no useful significant in the deltoid and supraspinatus muscles activity EMG compared by physical condition. 3. Their was significant in the deltoid EMG compared by gender t=-5.41, P<0.01, but no difference in the supraspinatus EMG(P=0.333 >a=0.05). Conclusions: There are many previous studies on influence of shoulder angles and speeds of muscle activity. However most of them placed the focus on isotonic or isokinetic exercise, or shoulder function. But this study was done during isometric exercise, which is better for early assessment and treatment for injured patients. There is strong relationship between the shoulder angle with resistance in deltoid supraspinatus muscle activity. We conclude that it is important to apply isometric shoulder abduction exercise with correct angle and resistance especially in early stage.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to understanding the constraint induced movement and Self-efficacy with arm training on upper motor function in Stroke Patients. Methods : Stroke, the leading cause of functional disability, causes a variety of impairments that compromise quality of life. Upper limb hemiparesis, a commonly seen impairment, is particularly problematic given its impact on activities of daily living. Because stroke was a disease to correspond to the first during domestic cause of death, and was accompanied by a lot of side aftereffects after a survival, stroke rehabilitation bought a patient and a family and a physical therapist, and it was main concern of. Results : Looks into upper extremity excrise of a subacute stroke patient estranged a acute convalescence later by a rehabilitation treatment in this consideration, and evaluates an effect to wind up constraint induced movement for an early treatment of stroke and Self efficacy, and help is one to an early rehabilitation of an stroke patient. Conclusions : Overuse sound tends after the stroke occurrence in the early stage in order to recompense for stroke, and at the time of a new aspect called learned nonuse syndrome by a movement of a paralysis part dusting off wealth with this step thing later. Constraint induced movement using self efficacy could be an effective for improving function of stroke.
Purpose : This study was conducted to assess the status of sarcopenia and locomotive syndrome in the Korean elderly population over 65 years of age by applying the recently updated screening tool for diagnostic evaluation of sarcopenia and locomotive syndrome. Methods : Sarcopenia and locomotive syndrome (LS) were diagnosed and evaluated in 210 Korean elderly people over 65 years of age. There were 36 patients in the "sarcopenia group", 164 in the "locomotive syndrome group", and 10 in the "normal group". The collected data were analyzed using the chi-square and Kruskal-Wallis tests. Results : The diagnostic evaluation of sarcopenia and LS showed the presence of sarcopenia in 9.05 % of males and 8.10% females among the Korean elderly population over 65 years of age. Prevalence of stage 1 locomotive syndrome (LS 1) was 95.24 %; stage 2, (LS 2) 36.19 %; and stage 3 (LS 3), 16.19 % among the study population. Both the sarcopenia diagnostic indicator and the LS evaluation indicators showed significant differences between the three groups. All the subjects in the sarcopenia group had LS; further, on comparison of the detailed composition ratio of each patient with LS, the prevalence of LS in the sarcopenia group was found to be: LS 1 41.67 %, LS 2 41.67 %, and LS 3 16.67 %, whereas in the LS group, it was found to be: LS 1 66.46 %, LS 2 16.46 %, and LS 3 17.07 %. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant. Conclusion : It was confirmed that sarcopenia is correlated with LS incidence. This suggests that the evaluation of motor LS can be used as a tool for the early diagnosis and prevention of sarcopenia in cases of functional decline due to aging in the elderly population.
