The Herschel Space Observatory is the European Space Agency's state of the art infrared space telescope launched into space on 14 May 2009, covering the wavelength range from 70-700 microns with 3 instruments SPIRE, PACS and HIFI. Large area surveys are being carried out by Herschel in the AKARI legacy fields at the North and South Ecliptic Poles and the AKARI All-Sky Survey provides additional synergy with the largest survey with Herschel, H-ATLAS, covering more than 500 square degrees. This paper reports on some of the early results of these synergies between Herschel and AKARI including the first comparison of the AKARI All-Sky Survey number counts with the deeper Herschel surveys.

Construction space of Japan suggests the factor of speculation to human and reveals tradition. The speculation can be embodied in the aspect of space and human's mental aspect is expressed as a main factor of tradition space of Japan. The purpose of this study is to research expression characteristic of speculation space, shown in the architecture of modem architect, Tadao Ando, who succeeds the concept. His works surveyed through research contain the emotion of nature and human, which are traditional factors of Japan. Moreover, it is reinterpreted by modem space, delivers its function of space and physical factor to user and grants value to activity and behavior of user residing in the space. Users recognize movement, create new meaning of space and accept physical barrier in the space. In conclusion, it can be said that the space of speculation is not a simple visual thing but a frame of visual structure, which is invented for embodiment. The factors show the Japanese architecture, real and contemplating one, which is positive in real life and allows experience. Through the conditions above, the researcher can find the meaning from the aspect that modem architecture of Japan is planned on the basis of concept of speculation.

The behavioral-related environmental study for multifamily housing is needed to develop the quality of unit floor plan in terms of user comfort and needs. So, the aim of this study is to find out the living style and housing needs in terms of interaction between the users behavior pattern and orgarnization of physical home space. For the purpose, the field experiments in Pusan, have been carried out with 318 households living in apartments by plan types(2BL, 3BL, 4BL, 5BL) which were classified by number of bedrooms. The dwelling space usage behavior(room use pattern and furniture uasge pattern) and the space adjustment behavior(physical modification of space and preferred space adjustment attitude) were examined and analyzed.

In the middle of that a information form is being formlessly changed to diverse deirections, a design and a space as physical consequence show not only a allegory but mutually relational charicteristic meaning a nonboundary and nonlinear form by development of modem digital culture. Following development of the modern digital culture, a design and space which are physical results, show a point of correlative specificity, allegory, nonlinear and nonboundary, Not only a design and culture but also various circles handle a hypertext as a representative pivot in this change. this has same contexts as rhizome possessing a asignifiante and nomadic characteristic said by Felix Guattari and Gilles Deleuze. An ideal of rhizome space shows historical decisions, unexpected accidents, a concepts, an individual. a group, social compositions above an contrifugal exterior force, This study examines into surroundings designed by a hypertext and rhizome through a case accordingly and infers an ultramodern characteristic in conventional precognition with synthesizing a peculiarity of the digital generation space.

To realize magnetic sails, momentum of the solar wind should be efficiently transferred to a spacecraft via magnetic field, which is produced around a spacecraft. In this paper, two important physical processes are addressed: 1) diffusive processes caused by plasma turbulence at the magnetospheric boundary around the spacecraft; and 2) field aligned current loops that will electrically connect the magnetospheric boundary and the spacecraft. The idea of the magnetic sails will be demonstrated by an experimental simulator, in which a fast plasma beam will penetrate into a dipole magnetic field. For that purpose, the two important physical processes should be scaled down to a small laboratory experiment in a space chamber. From the scaling considerations, the interaction can be scaled down if high-speed and high-density $(10^{19}m^{-3})$ plasma jet is used with 1-T-class magnetic field.

Interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs) are regarded as one of the most powerful sources of space weather disturbances observed near the Earth orbit (1 AU). In this study, we aim at investigating the relation between these disturbances and the physical properties of an ICME. Toward this end, we used an spheromak-type ICME and performed a series of three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulations with different sets of ICME parameters. The ICME is injected into the background solar wind generated from near-Sun data and interplanetary scintillation (IPS) data via an MHD-IPS tomography method. We will compare simulation results to in situ observations near the Earth and discuss how the physical properties of an ICME affect the space weather disturbances at 1 AU.

This study is aimed at analyzing desired spaces and demands for their improvements, and subsequently proposing the design plan for eating and drinking places for solo diners by surveying the user satisfaction based on the analysis of the space configuration, and the physical environment of eating and drinking spaces for solo diners. Theoretical discussions about eating and drinking spaces for solo diners and their physical environment were reviewed from the previous studies, and an on-site survey was conducted with a checklist, for which the items regarding configuring elements of physical environments for the satisfaction with eating and drinking spaces for solo diners have been derived. Measurable checklist items according to the configuration of eating and drinking spaces were derived for this survey, which had then been conducted with diners in the eating and drinking spaces for 2 weeks. The analysis results are as follows. First, cleanliness is required as a necessity for the user satisfaction in eating and drinking spaces for solo diners. Second, a '-' shaped bar and the spaces to utilize and combine additional facilities are required in the central service space. Third, the self service should be performed in the additional service space. Fourth, the menu composition and the location selection considering main age groups of diners are needed. Fifth, interior design elements need to be improved to allow diners to feel visual interest along with enjoying food and beverage. It is considered that the strategies of spatial design need to be analyzed and proposed from the perspective of design among the physical environments of eating and drinking spaces for solo diners in future studies.

사물인터넷 기반의 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅, AR/ VR등 실감 컴퓨팅과 실제 물리 공간의 이음새 없는 하나의 인터랙션 공간을 Tangible Space라고 명하고자 한다. 이 공간에서는 물리 공간에 가상의 물체나 객체가 증강되고 몰입형 가상공간에 물리공간이 투영되고 증강된 형태로 인터랙션의 확장이 가능하다. 인터넷과 웹이 컴퓨팅 환경을 하나의 공유 인터랙션 공간으로 이어주면서 물리공간에서의 우리 삶 자체가 로깅되고 공유되는 시대에 살고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 새로운 인터랙션 공간을 기존 웹의 표현 기법과 응용 소프트웨어 개발 환경을 그대로 활용할 수 있는 Tangible Space의 웨바아징 방법론을 제안하고 개발 구현 사례를 소개하겠다. 앞으로 정보 중심의 웹에서 우리 경험을 지속적이고 연속적으로 담고 공유하는 웹으로 발전할 것으로 기대한다.

현재의 인터넷 공간은 소위 유비쿼터스 공간으로 진화해 가고 있다. 인터넷 공간과는 달리, 유비쿼터스 공간에서는 정보가 컴퓨터 메모리, 인간의 두뇌 그리고 물리적 사물에 골고루 분포하게 된다. ‘하이퍼텍스트’ 는 컴퓨터 메모리(즉, 전자 공간)를 전제로 한 정보 연결 모델로, 유비쿼터스 공간에는 잘 맞지 않는다. 이점에 착안하여, 본 논문에서는 CPM모델을 제안하였다. CPM 모델은 아날로그 컴퓨팅, 디지털 컴퓨팅, 휴먼 컴퓨팅 등 세 가지 연산 메커니즘을 포괄할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 본 논문에서는, CPM 모델이 갖는 이러한 속성이 유비쿼터스 공간에서의 정보 연결 목적에 부합됨을 보였다.
