Recently, the volume of data is increasing rapidly in server for multimedia service, according to development of multimedia application environment. In recent research for storage technology the technology like of the SAN(Storage Area Network) advantages in scalibility of storage devices, and can read data from multiple disk arrays through RAID 0, 5. The RAID 0 and 5 translate to logical address to physical address using equation, but in case of adding disks at the system with equation -based mapping, the problem that we must rearrange the whole data in the previous disks happens. We use the mapping table to solve this problem in recent, but we can not load the whole mapping table in main memory because it occupies too large space. Therefore the extra I/Os are demanded to evaluate real physical address of data, so total performance of the system is degraded. In this paper, we propose the mapping method that supports the scalibility in RAID 0 or 5 system. The proposing method applies small metadata, so- called SZIT and simple equation, so it is possible that we make translate logical address to physical address rapidly and it is scalable in disk extending simultaneously Our suggesting method, if we add disks to the striping system for expanding of storage capacity, has an advantage of never stop service. So, SZlT-based mapping method can do online-disk-expanding in real-time service.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare EEG topographical maps in patients with chronic stroke after action observation physical training. Methods: Ten subjects were recruited from a medical hospital. Participants observed the action of transferring a small block from one box to another for 6 sessions of 1 minute each, and then performed the observed action for 3 minutes, 6 times. An EEG-based brain mapping system with 32 scalp sites was used to determine cortical reorganization in the regions of interest (ROIs) during observation of movement. The EEG-based brain mapping was comparison in within-group before and after training. ROIs included the primary sensorimotor cortex, premotor cortex, superior parietal lobule, inferior parietal lobule, superior temporal lobe, and visual cortex. EEG data were analyzed with an average log ratio in order to control the variability of the absolute mu power. The mu power log ratio was in within-group comparison with paired t-tests. Results: Participants showed activation prior to the intervention in all of the cerebral cortex, whereas the inferior frontal gyrus, superior frontal gyrus, precentral gyrus, and inferior parietal cortex were selectively activated after the training. There were no differences in mu power between each session. Conclusion: These findings suggest that action observation physical training contributes to attaining brain reorganization and improving brain functionality, as part of rehabilitation and intervention programs.
Purpose: This study was designed to analyze the differences in cerebral cortex activity of the elderly after extracting the movement related cortical potentials (MRCPs) from electroencephalogram (EEG) during a concentric and eccentric contraction of the elbow joint flexors, and entering them into the brain-mapping program to make the images. Methods: Right-dominant normal elderly people were divided into an eccentric contraction group and a concentric contraction group. Then, their MRCPs were measured using EEG and sEMG, during an eccentric and concentric contraction. Then, they were converted into images using the brain-mapping program. Results: Eccentric contraction group's $C_3$ and Cz showed statistically higher mean values of MRCP positive potential than the concentric contraction group. Conclusion: Researching a cerebral cortex activity, using MRCP, would provide basic data for clinical neuro-physiological researches on aging or neural plasticity of patients with a central nervous system injury.

In this paper, we propose a modified Halpern's iterative scheme developed from a sequence of a new class of enriched nonspreading mappings and an enriched nonexpansive mapping in the setup of a real Hilbert space. Moreover, we prove strong convergence theorem of the proposed method under mild conditions on the control parameters. Also, we obtain some basic properties of our new class of enriched nonspreading mappings.

Open-channel SSD is a new type of Solid-State Disk (SSD) that improves the garbage collection overhead and write amplification due to physical constraints of NAND flash memory by exposing the internal structure of the SSD to the host. However, the host-level Flash Translation Layer (FTL) provided for open-channel SSDs in the current Linux kernel consumes host memory excessively because it use page-level mapping table to translate logical address to physical address. Therefore, in this paper, we implemente a selective mapping table loading scheme that loads only a currently required part of the mapping table to the mapping table cache from SSD instead of entire mapping table. In addition, to increase the hit ratio of the mapping table cache, filesystem information and mapping table access history are utilized for cache replacement policy. The proposed scheme is implemented in the host-level FTL of the Linux kernel and evaluated using open-channel SSD emulator. According to the evaluation results, we can achieve 80% of I/O performance using the only 32% of memory usage compared to the previous host-level FTL.
The main purpose of this paper is to critically examine the intractable problems of Peirce's notion of 'symbol' as a higher and perfect mode of sign, and present a more appropriate account of the higher status of symbol from an experientialist perspective. Peirce distinguished between icon, index, and symbol, and suggested symbol to be a higher mode of sign, in that it additionally requires "interpretation." Within Peirce's picture, the matter of interpretation is to be explained in terms of "interpretant," while icon or index are not. However, Peirce's conception of "interpretant" itself remains fraught with intractable opacities, thereby leaving the nature of symbol in a misty conundrum. Drawing largely on the experientialist account of the nature and structure of symbolic experience, I try to explicate the complexity of symbol in terms of "the symbolic mapping." According to experientialism, our experience consists of two levels, i.e., physical and symbolic. Physical experience can be extended to symbolic level largely by means of "symbolic mapping," and yet is strongly constrained by physical experience. Symbolic mapping is the way in which we map part of certain physical experience onto some other area, thereby understanding the other area in terms of the mapped part of the physical experience. According to this account, all the signs, icon, index, and symbol a la Peirce, are constructed by way of symbolic mapping. While icon and index are constructed by mapping physical level experience onto some signifier(i.e. Peirce's "representamen"), symbol is constructed by mapping abstract level experience onto some signifier. Considering the experientialist account that abstract level of experience is constructed by way of symbolic mapping of physical level of experience, the symbolic mapping of abstract level of experience onto some other area is a secondary one. Thus, symbol, being constructed by way of secondary or more times mapping, becomes a higher level sign. This analysis is based on the idea that explaining the nature of sign is a matter of explaining that symbolic experience, leaving behind Peirce's realist conception of sign as a matter of an event or state of affairs out there. In conclusion, I suggest that this analysis will open up new possibilities for a more appropriate account of the nature of signs, beyond Peirce's complicated riddles.
SAN(Storage Area Network) was developed in response to the requirements of high availability of data, scalable growth, and system performance. In order to use the SAN more efficiently, most of the SAN operating software supports storage virtualization concepts that allow users to view physical storage devices of the SAN as a large volume. A logical volume manager plays a key role in storage virtualization. It realizes the storage virtualization by mapping logical addresses to physical addresses. In this paper, we design and implement an efficient and flexible mapping method for the logical volume manager. Additionally we also design and implement a free space management method for flexible mapping. Our mapping method supports a snapshot that preserves a volume image at certain time and on-line reorganization to allow users to add or remove storage devices to and from the SAN even while the system is running. To justify our mapping method, we compare it with the mapping method of the GFS (Global File System) through various experiments.

Mapping virtual process topology to physical processor topology is one of the most important design issues in parallel programming. However, the mapping problem is complicated due to the topology irregularity and routing complexity. This paper proposes a new process mapping scheme called adjacency-based mapping (AM) for irregular cluster systems assuming that the two-dimensional mesh process topology is specified as an interprocess communication pattern. The cluster systems have been studied and developed for many years since they provide high interconnection flexibility, scalability, and expandability which are not attainable in traditional regular networks. The proposed AM tries to map neighboring processes in virtual process topology to adjacent processors in physical processor topology. Simulation study shows that the proposed AM results in better mapping quality and shorter interprocess latency compared to the conventional approaches.

The concept of community capacity is regarded as the ability of people and communities to do works associated with the determinant factors and indicators of the circumstances of socio-economic, environmental and physical contexts. Building capacity of communities to effectively analyze our problematic issues and planning of community development is often required to scrutinize current status of community of socio-economic and infrastructural capacity development with GIS. We consider community development as a planned effort to build assets that increase the capacity of communities. Spatial asset mapping is the process enabling to identify and make inventories of tangible and intangible assets. This mapping requires developing a capacity inventory that collects individual organizational and community capacities in view of human, socio-cultural, natural, financial, digital, and physical capacity. The purpose of this research is not only designed to suggest a new concept capacity building, but also proposes a more creative framework of asset-based community cap linking to parcel-based spatial asset mapping and capacity mapping process.

Data centers, which implement cloud service, have been faced up with quick growth of energy consumption and low efficiency of energy. 60GHz wireless communication technology, as a new option to data centers, can provide feasible approach to alleviate the problems. Aiming at energy optimization in 60GHz wireless data centers (WDCs), we investigate virtualization technology to assign virtual resources to minimum number of servers, and turn off other servers or adjust them to the state of low power. By comprehensive analysis of wireless data centers, we model virtual network and physical network in WDCs firstly, and propose Virtual Resource Mapping Packing Algorithm (VRMPA) to solve energy management problems. According to VRMPA, we adopt packing algorithm and sort physical resource only once, which improves efficiency of virtual resource allocation. Simulation results show that, under the condition of guaranteeing network load, VPMPA algorithm can achieve better virtual request acceptance rate and higher utilization rate of energy consumption.
