고내열성을 가진 감광성 폴리이미드의 액정배향 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on characteristics of liquid crystal alignment on photosensitive polyimide having thermal stability)

  • We synthesized high thermal photoalignment material with hydroxyl aromatic polyimide, and studied the liquid crystal (LC) aligning capabilities on the photopolymer layers. Also, electro-optical (EO) performances for the twisted-nematic (TN)-liquid crystal display (LCD) photoaligned with linearly polarized UV exposure were investigated. A good LC alignment with UV exposure on the photopolymer surface can be obtained. However, the low pretilt angles were obtained below $1^{\circ}$. The Voltage-transmittance (V-T) curve without backflow bounce in the photoaligned TN cell with UV exposure was observed. The response time of photoaligned TN cell was measured about 24 ms.

백금전극과 감광성 고분자를 이용한 ISFET 포도당 및 자당센서의 감지성능 개선 (The Improvement of Sensing Performance of ISFET Glucose and Sucrose Sensors by Using Platinum Electrode and Photo-crosslinkable Polymers)

  • 백금작업전극과 광가교화된 효소고정화막을 가진 ISFET 포도당 및 자당센서가 제조되었다. 효소반응의 부산물인 과산화수소수($H_{2}O_{2}$)는 백금전극표면에서 분해되어 센서의 감지특성을 개선시키고, 광가교화 고분자(PVA-SbQ)가 효소고정화막으로 이용되어 센서의 응답시간을 단축하였다. 그리고 백금전극의 면적변화에 따라 센서의 응답크기는 증가하였다. 센서의 응답시간은 $3{\sim}5$분이었으며, $30{\sim}300mg/dl$의 포도당 및 자당농도에서 센서의 선형적인 응답을 보였다.

  • 티타늄 금속판을 공기산화와 수증기 산화하여 만든 Ti$O_{2-x}$ 박막을 시료로 사용하여 1M NaOH 용액에서 광전기화학적 성질을 연구하였다. 높은 온도에서 제조된 Ti$O_{2-x}$ 전극들은 낮은 온도에서 제조된 전극들보다 더 음의 값으로 주어지는 flat band potential($V_{fb}$)과 더 높은 donor density($N_D$)를 가졌다. 전극전위의 변화에 따른 광전류 측정과 Mott-Schottky plot로부터 얻은 $V_{fb}$는 -0.95 ∼ -1.1 V 사이에서 비슷한 값으로 주어졌다. 자외부 영역의 광을 완전히 차단하는 TiO2 단결정을 필터로 하여 가시부 영역의 광전류를 측정할 때 분해능이 좋은 slit를 사용한 경우 좋은 sub band gap 광반응을 볼 수 있었다.

Photo-crosslinked gelatin methacryloyl hydrogel strengthened with calcium phosphate-based nanoparticles for early healing of rabbit calvarial defects

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of photo-crosslinked gelatin methacryloyl (GelMa) hydrogel containing calcium phosphate nanoparticles (CNp) when applying different fabrication methods for bone regeneration. Methods: Four circular defects were created in the calvaria of 10 rabbits. Each defect was randomly allocated to the following study groups: 1) the sham control group, 2) the GelMa group (defect filled with crosslinked GelMa hydrogel), 3) the CNp-GelMa group (GelMa hydrogel crosslinked with nanoparticles), and 4) the CNp+GelMa group (crosslinked GelMa loaded with nanoparticles). At 2, 4, and 8 weeks, samples were harvested, and histological and micro-computed tomography analyses were performed. Results: Histomorphometric analysis showed that the CNp-GelMa and CNp+GelMa groups at 2 weeks had significantly greater total augmented areas than the control group (P<0.05). The greatest new bone area was observed in the CNp-GelMa group, but without statistical significance (P>0.05). Crosslinked GelMa hydrogel with nanoparticles exhibited good biocompatibility with a minimal inflammatory reaction. Conclusions: There was no difference in the efficacy of bone regeneration according to the synthesized method of photo-crosslinked GelMa hydrogel with nanoparticles. However, these materials could remain within a bone defect up to 2 weeks and showed good biocompatibility with little inflammatory response. Further improvement in mechanical properties and resistance to enzymatic degradation would be needed for the clinical application.

폴리이미드막 표면에 직선 편광된 UV 광을 조사한 액정셀에서의 프리틸트각 발생과 전기광학특성 (Pretilt Angle Generation and EO Performance in LC Cell with Linearly Polarized UV Light Irradiation on Polymer Surface)

  • In this paper, we obtained that the monodomain alignment of nematic liquid crystal (NLC) increases with increasing irradiation time with linearly polarized ultraviolet (LPUV) light irradiation on polyimide (PI) surfaces. It was found that the monodomain alignment of NLC is obtained in a cell with normally LPUV light irradiated on PI surface at 30 min. and then oblique LPUV is secondly irradiated on PI surfaces rotated by $90^{\circ}$. The pretilt angle of NLC is generated about $2.5^{\circ}$ with oblique angle of $60^{\circ}$ and then decreased with increasing the oblique angle of IN light irradiation. It is considered that the pretilt angle of NLC is attributed to the photo-depolymerization of polymer with the oblique angle of UV light. The voltage-transmittance and response time characteristics of photo-aligned twisted nematic (TN)-LCD with UV light irradiation time of 60 min. were almost same in comparison with rubbing treated TN-LCD.

A comparison of photosynthesis measurements by O2 evolution, 14C assimilation, and variable chlorophyll fluorescence during light acclimatization of the diatom Coscinodiscus granii

  • Photosynthetic rates of the large centric diatom Coscinodiscus granii were measured by means of multicolor variable chlorophyll fluorescence imaging, single cell $^{14}C$ assimilation, and optical $O_2$ sensor measurements during light acclimatization of cultures grown at five different irradiances: 50, 150, 235, 332, and $450{\mu}mol$ photons $m^{-2}\;s^{-1}$. Photo-acclimatization was evident from changes of cellular chlorophyll a content, growth rates, and light response curves. Each of the applied methods evaluates different parts and reactions in the photosynthetic apparatus, which makes a direct quantitative comparison of rates difficult, although a different degree of correlation were found between all three methods. However, when used in combination, they provide information about the internal relationship of photosynthetic pathways as well as the variation in photosynthetic capacity between individual cells within a single algal culture.

  • 본 연구에서는 인간의 제품에 대한 이미지 연상과 관련된 인지 반응 특성을 파악하고, 제품 선호도 및 경험과의 상관관계 분석을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여, 휴대폰과 제안형 제품사진을 실험자극으로 선정하여, 연상되는 감성어휘를 표현하는 실험과 각 제품사진의 선호도를 평가하는 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과로부터 두 가지 결론이 도출되었다. 먼저, 사용 경험이 있는 제품에 대한 언어적 지각 반응에서는 비유 언어와 정서적 이미지의 표현을 혼용하며 선호도 수준이 높아짐에 따라 정서적 표현의 적용이 많아진다. 두 번째는, 제품의 비사용 경험은 선호도와 관계없이 인지 대상을 단지 지각적으로 이해하고 자신의 일반적 경험 정보와 유사성을 고려하여 대응시키는 반응을 유발한다.

Frequency Response Estimation of 1.3 ㎛ Waveguide Integrated Vertical PIN Type Ge-on-Si Photodetector Based on the Analysis of Fringing Field in Intrinsic Region

  • In this paper, we introduce a 1.3-㎛ 25-GHz waveguide-integrated vertical PIN type Ge-on-Si photodetector fabricated using a multi-project wafers service based on fringing field analysis in the depletion region. In general, 1.3-㎛ photodetectors fabricated using a commercial foundry service can achieve limited bandwidths because a significant amount of photo-generated carriers are located within a few microns from the input along the device length, and they are influenced by the fringing field, leading to a longer transit time. To estimate the response time, we calculate the fringing field in that region and the transit time using the drift velocity caused by the field. Finally, we compare the estimated value with the measured one. The photodetector fabricated has a bandwidth of 20.75 GHz at -1 V with an estimation error of <3 GHz and dark current and responsivity of 110 nA and 0.704 A/W, respectively.

CdSe 박막의 광도전 특성 (Photoconductive Characteristics of CdSe Thin Films)

  • 본 논문에서는 진공증착법으로 순수한 CdSe박막과 미소량의 불순물을 첨가한, CdSe 박막을 제작하고, 그후 제작한 박막을 진공중에서 열처리하여 광도전성 박막으로서의 특성을 조사하였다. 증착시 기판의 온도는 $200^{\circ}C$이고 열처리 온도는 $400^{\circ}C$에서 $600^{\circ}C$에 걸쳐 행하였다. 일반적으로 박막의 광도전성은 열처리 온도가 높을수록 향상된다. 제작된 각 시편의 광전류는 조도의 증가에 따라 직선적인 관계가 나타난다. 제작된 각 시편에 대하여 파장범위 380-850nm에서 광도전특성을 조사한 결과 광응답의 최대치는 700nm 부근이며 불순물을 첨가함에 따라 장파장쪽으로 이동한다. 순수한 CdSe 박막의 경우 $240^{\circ}K$ 부근에서 양호한 광응답 특성이 나타나나 불순물 첨가의 경우에는 온도가 상승함에 따라 양호한 특성이 나타난다.

  • This study was conducted with ginseng plants to investigate photosynthetic response to changes of light intensity and leaf temperature. $CO_2$ uptake in diurnal course was highest in the first phase (8 00~5 : 30 Am.) on May 30, 1992. In $CO_2$ uptake related to stomatal conductance, these relationship was synchronized in diurnal course, but relationship between TEX>$CO_2$ uptake and intercellular $CO_2$ concentration in diurnal course was synchronized oppositely. Leaf temperature and light intensity at the highest $CO_2$ uptake were in the range of 23~$24^{\circ}C$) and 95$\mu$mol.$m^{-2}$.$s^{-1}$), $CO_2$ , respectively. In response to an increasing light intensity under a constant leaf temperature ($18^{\circ}C$), $CO_2$ uptake was increased throughout the light intensity sequence up to 250$\mu$mol.$m^{-2}$.$s^{-1}$), $CO_2$ When $CO_2$ uptake was measured with a series of leaf temperature under a constant light intensity (250 $\mu$mol.$m^{-2}$.$s^{-1}$), $CO_2$ uptake was highest at $18^{\circ}C$ as a 4.1$\mu$mol.$m^{-2}$.$s^{-1}$), $CO_2$ . Similar changes were also observed in stomatal conductance and intercellular $CO_2$ concentration. Evidences from several approaches indicate that synchronization of $CO_2$ uptake, stomatal conductance and intercellular $CO_2$ concentration were closely inter-related and changes of leaf temperature iuluenced the photo-response in photosynthetic processes.
