Investigation and Mitigation of Overvoltage Due to Ferroresonance in the Distribution Network

  • This paper reports an investigation of overvoltages caused by ferroresonance in the distribution system, which consists of a bank of open-delta single-phase voltage transformers. The high voltage sides of the voltage transformer are connected to the distribution system via three single-phase fuse cutouts. Due to the saturation characteristic of the transformer cores, ferroresonance can occur in the condition that the transformer is energized or deenergized with single-phase switching operation of the fuse cutouts. The simulation tool based on EMTP is used to investigate the overvoltages at the high side of voltage transformer. Bifurcation diagrams are used to present the ferroresonance behavior in ranges of different operating conditions. The simulation results are in good agreement with the results from the experiment of 22 kV voltage transformers. The mitigation technique with additional damping resistors in the secondary windings of the voltage transformers will be introduced. Brief discussion will be made on the physical phenomena related to the overvoltage and the damage of voltage transformer.

  • To develop topical nitroglycerin (NTG) preparation far chronic anal fissure treatment, the release rate of NTG should be controlled carefully. For this, microemulsion was prepared from the phase diagram construction with Cremophor ELP, ethanol and Labrafil $M1944CS^{(R)}$ and the topical gel was prepared by dispersing NTG containing microemulsion into hydrophilic polymers. in viかo release characteristics were evaluated with Franz diffusion cell using cellulose membrane and compared with control hydrogels. The release rate of NTG was followed $1^{st}$ order kinetics and, when comparing the NTG release from control hydrogel with that from the microemulsion-based hydrogel, the NTG release rate was controlled by the content of polymers within continuous phase and the concentration of dispersed phase.

GaSe및 GaTe계의 기계적 합금화 거동 (Mechanical Alloying of GaSe and GaTe Systems)

  • In the present work, we investigated the mechanical alloying of binary Ga-Se(1:1) and Ga-Te(1;1) sysyems. The high-energy ball-milling was performed at $40^{\circ}C$ where one of constituents (Ga) is molten state. The purpose of the work was to see whether reactions between constituent elements are accelerated by the presence of a liquid phase. During the ball-milling, the liquid Ga phase completely disappeared and the resulting powders consist of nanocrystalline grain of ~20 nm with partly amorphized phases. However, no intermetallic compounds formed in spite of the presence of the liquid phases which has much higher diffusivity than solid constituents. By subsequent heat-treatments, the intermetallic compounds such as GaSe and GaTe formed at relatively low temperatures. The formation temperature of theses compound was much lower than those predicted by equilibrium phase diagram. The comparison of the ball-milled powders with un-milled ones indicated that the easy formation of intermetallic compound or allying occurs at low temperatures.

경피제제로서 수종의 플루비프로펜 Vehicle과 O/W 마이크로에멀젼의 평가 (Evaluation or various vehicles and O/W Microemulsions of Flurbiprofen as Transdermal Delivery System)

  • In order to reduce systemic side effects following administration, flurbiprofen was formulated as O/W microemulsion consisting of the surfactant, oil phase and aqueous phase. Particle size distribution, apparent viscosity, solubility and skin permeation of flurbiprofen in various vehicles and microemulsion were evaluated. The domain of O/W microemulsion s phase diagram had difference between oil types and the area of O/W microemulsion was wide distributed by adding to PG and cosurfactant than that of water alone. As increasing 10, 15 and 20% of Brij 97 content and 1, 2.5, 5% of oil content, the solubility of flurbiprofen in O/W microemulsions and various vehicles was $400{\sim}1,000$ and $10{\sim}500$ times higher than that of control. Also, apparent viscosity of soybean oil microemulsions was higher than that of IPM microemulsions and that of vehicle were increased as increasing vehicle content. Since skin permeation of flurbiprofen decreased as increasing viscosity, in each vehicle, it was not affected 2% ${\beta}-CD$ and decreased as increasing PG content and to 2, 5 and 10% of $HP-{\beta}-CD$. In O/W microemulsion, 5% soybean oil. 20% Brij 97 and 75% water(A-1) with high viscosity showed low skin penetration.

가스침질탄화법(浸窒炭化法)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Study on Gaseous Nitrocarburizing Treatment)

  • This study has been carried out to evaluate gaseous nitrocarburizing treatment undertaken for pure iron at $570^{\circ}C$ in an atmosphere containing 50% endothermic gas, generated from natural gas, and 50% ammonia. The results obtained from the experiment are as follows ; 1) The microstructure of gaseous nitrocarburized pure iron consists of the compound layer on the surface and the diffusion zone beneath it. The compound layer progresses uniformly into ferrite with a thickness of $20{\mu}$ obtained after treating for 3 hours. 2) Chemical analysis has shown that the compound layer has a C/N ratio of 0.19 and that the average combined interstitial content of the compound layer is about 30 atomic percent, which is close to the lower limit of the ${\varepsilon}$-carbonitride phase field in Fe-C-N phase diagram. 3) X-ray diffraction analysis has revealed that the compound layer consists mainly of the c.p.h. phase, ${\varepsilon}-Fe_3$(C.N) and a small amount of $Fe_4N$ and traces of ferrite are also present in the compound layer. 4) The microhardness of the compound layer is about 600 V.H.N and shows a relatively sharp fall-off at the compound layer/diffusion zome interface. 5) The average actual degree of ammonia dissociation is calculated to be 27% for a gaseous nitrocarburizing treatment carried out at $570^{\circ}C$.

  • NPC 인버터는 많은 수의 전력용 반도체 소자로 구성되어 있으므로 다른 고장의 유형보다 전력용 반도체 스위치의 고장 발생 가능성이 더욱 크다. 고장발생시에 시스템의 연속적인 운전을 위한 대책의 개발은 매우 필요하며, 이러한 고장은 제안된 방법을 이용함으로써 시스템의 고장 허용 능력을 향상할 수 있다. 제안된 방법은 하나의 전력용 반도체 고장발생시 고장난 전력용 반도체가 포함된 고장상을 직렬 연결된 커패시터의 접속점에 연결한 후 나머지 두상을 이용하여 제어함으로써 직류-링크 전압을 유지하고, 일정한 크기를 가지는 출력 부하상전류를 연속적으로 시스템에 공급할 수 있다. 제안된 방법은 몇가지 특별한 분야에서 값비싼 다른 대안책들보다 더 경제적인 대안이다.

Development of Propofol-Ioaded Microemulsion Systems for Parenteral Delivery

  • The aim of the present study was to develop the aqueous parenteral formulation containing propofol using o/w microemulsion systems. Propofol itself was chosen as the oil phase and its content was fixed to 1$\%$, w/w. Pseudoternary phase diagrams were constructed to obtain the concentration range of surfactant and cosurfacatnt and the optimum ratio between them for microemulsion formation. Consequently, the suitability of the chosen microemulsion system as a parenteral formulation was evaluated from the stability and hemolysis tests on that. Among the surfactants and cosurfactants screened, the mixture of Solutol HS 15-ethyl alcohol (5/1) showed the largest o/w mocroemulsion region in the phase diagram. When 1 $\%$ (w/w) of propofol was solubilized with 8$\%$ (w/w) of Solutol $HS^{circledR}$??? 15-ethyl alcohol (5/1), the average droplet size (150 nm) and the content of propofol in the systems were not significantly changed at 40$^{circ}C$ for 8 weeks. The hemolysis test showed that this formulation was nontoxic to red blood cells. In conclusion, propofol was successfully solubilized with the o/w microemulsion systems.

Automotive SPICE를 위한 행위 모델 기반의 테스트 케이스 생성 기법 (A Method of Test Case Generation Based on Behavioral Model for Automotive SPICE)

  • As the automobile industry has shifted to software, the Automotive SPICE standard has been established to ensure efficient product development process and quality. In the assessment model, the HIS Scope is the minimum standard for small and medium automotive electric companies to meet OEM requirements. However, in order to achieve the HIS Scope, the output of each process stage that meets the verification criteria of Automotive SPICE must be created. In particular, the test phase takes a lot of resources, which is a big burden for small and medium-sized companies. In this paper, we propose a methodology for creating test cases of software integration test phase based on UML sequence diagram, which is a software design phase of Automotive SPICE HIS Scope, by applying behavior model based testing method. We also propose a tool chain for automating the creation process. This will reduce the resources required to create a test case.

  • Phase stability diagrams were constructed for magnesium alanate (Mg(AlH4)2) nanoparticles to investigate the reversible hydrogen storage reaction by using density functional theory. Our findings indicate that bulk Mg(AlH4)2 shows favorable hydrogen release, but unfavorable hydrogen uptake (adsorption) reactions. However, for Mg(AlH4)2 nanoparticles, it was observed that hydrogen release and recharge can be achieved by controlling the particle size and temperature. Furthermore, by predicting the decomposition phase diagram of Mg(AlH4)2 nanoparticles with varying hydrogen partial pressure, it was discovered that reversible dehydrogenation reactions can occur even in relatively large nanoparticles by controlling the hydrogen partial pressure.

  • 통상적으로 데이터베이스 어플리케이션을 구현하는 과정은 ERD(Entity Relationship Diagram)와 프로세스 모델을 산출하는 분석 과정을 거쳐 코딩, 테스팅 (testing)으로 프로젝트를 완성한다. 이 과정에서 가장 정형화되지 못한 부분이 분석과정으로 (1) 고객이 자신이 원하는 시스템의 세부 사항까지 알지 못한다; (2) 고객의 비즈니스 (business) 로직을 개발자가 이해하기 어렵다; (3) 분석 산출물인 ERD와 프로세스 모델을 고객이 이해하기 어렵다 등의 이유 때문이다. 본 논문은 분석 과정을 효과적으로 수행하기 위하여 가장 중요한 분석 산출물인 ERD (Entity Relationship Diagram)를 고객이 이해하기 쉬운 폼 형태로 제시할 것을 제안한다. 이 폼들은 데이터를 입력할 수 있게 하여 고객이 입체적으로 모델을 평가할 수 있어야 하며 분석 과정에서 발견되는 비즈니스 로직을 즉각 구현하여 고객이 이 폼들을 실행하면서 구현되는 로직을 평가, 이해하여 비즈니스 로직을 세부적으로 제공할 수 있게 하여야 한다. 이 목적을 위하여 고객이 제공하는 비즈니스 로직을 폼과 폼끼리의 참조를 포함하는 데이터 플로우(data flow) 형태로 우리의 폼 시스템에서 구현할 수 있어야 한다. 고객은 추상적인 ERD 대신에 데이터를 포함하고, 데이터 플로우 로직이 구현되어 있는 폼들을 실행 시켜 보면서 자신이 제공한 비즈니스 로직을 검토할 수 있으며 새로운 로직을 발견할 수 있다. 이러한 과정을 반복적으로 수행하면서 고객과 개발자는 충분히 세부적이고 모순이 없는 분석 과정을 성공적으로 수행할 수 있게 된다.
