  • Many methods have been proposed to detect faults of carrier phase measurements, but there are no distinguished methods for land transportation systems. in this paper, the baseline constraints are used to detect faults in GPS carrier phase measurements with vehicle dynamic information. The faults include the multipath on GPS carrier measurements. Multiple antenna groups are used for this research. In the measurement domain the fault detection has been accomplished so that the implementation is easier than other methods.

  • In this paper, the Viterbi decoder containing new branch metrics of the squared Euclidean distance with multiple order phase differences is introduced in order to improve the bit error rate (BER) in the differential detection of the trellis-coded MDPSK-OFDM. The proposed Viterbi decoder is conceptually same as the Continuous multiple phase differential detection method that uses the branch metric with multiple phase differences. Also, we describe the Viterbi algorithm in order to use this branch metrics. Our study shows that such a Viterbi decoder improves BER performance without sacrificing bandwidth and power efficiency Also. the proposed algorithm ran be used in the single carrier modulation.

  • In this Paper, we consider multiple input multiple output Feher-patented quadrature phase shift keying (MIMO-FQPSK) system supporting high spectral efficiency and throughput. Based on the fact that the complex baseband signal sampled at every bit duration has only eight phase values and its signal can be considered as 8-phase-shift keying signal, FQPSK demodulation with maximum likelihood sequence estimation(MLSE) is considered and it is extended to MIMO system. The performance of MIMO-FQPSK receiver is analyzed by computer simulation and by considering the union upper bounds for zrero forcing detection and minimum mean square error detection.

  • This paper deals with artificial neural network approach for automatic detection of severity level of stator winding fault in induction motor. The problem is faced through modelling and simulation of induction motor with inter coil shorting in stator winding. The sum of the absolute values of difference in the peak values of phase currents from each half cycle has been chosen as the main input to the classifier. Sample values from workspace of Simulink model, which are verified with experiment setup practically, have been imported to neural network architecture. Consideration of a single input extracted from time domain simplifies and advances the fault detection technique. The output of the feed forward back propagation neural network classifies the short circuit fault level of the stator winding.

  • Acoustic signals from the vehicle muffler has various kinds of noises. For control of noise from the vehicle muffler, the major part of noise to be contorted is that correlated with the revolution of the vehicle engine. For this reason the most efficient method for noise control is to use the extracted acoustic signals correlated with revolution as a controlled factor. Therebefore in this paper we developed and proofed an algorithm for efficient amplitude detection and phase detection related to the engine operating revolution from the vehicle muffler noise by orthogonality.

  • This paper presents motor speed and revolution angle detection method using a sinusoidal AC tacho-generator. The 2-phase or 3-phase output tacho-generator can be adopted, and its' output voltages must have sinusoidal waveforms. Because the detection algorithm is simple, the proosed method can be implemented with analog devices or microprocessor conveniently. And the proposed method has a very short detection delay time. Especially in the analog implementation, there is no delay time without the settling time of analog devices. With the experimental results, it is verified that the proposed method can acculately detect the instantaneous motor speed and revolution angle over the wide ranges.

  • This paper proposes a network intrusion detection model which can detect the insertion and evasion attacks. These attacks can be prevented when some kind of information are available in the network intrusion detection system. We classified these information with three categories and used each category at setup phase and executing Phase. Within the proposed model, all necessary information which are related with networks and operating systems are maintained in the database and created as a table. This table is used during intrusion detection. The overheads of database and table may be simple in this model.

  • In this study, a real-time architecture for the detection of clock jumps in the GPS clock behavior is proposed. GPS satellite atomic clocks have characteristics of a second order polynomial in the long term showing sudden jumps occasionally. As satellite clock anomalies influence on GPS measurements which could deliver wrong position information to users as a result, it is required to develop a real time technique for the detection of the clock anomalies especially on the real-time GPS applications such as aviation. The proposed strategy is based on Teager Energy operator, which can be immediately detect any changes in the satellite clock bias estimated from GPS carrier phase measurements. The verification results under numerous cases in the presence of clock jumps are demonstrated.

  • The phase sensitivity of the coincidence detection in one output port of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer is analysed for twin Fock state inputs. Firstly, the ideal detectors with quantum efficiency of unity are assumed for the detection of the output photons. The sensitivity is found out to be independent of the photon number of input light, which means that the Heisenberg limit cannot be reached in the coincidence detection even with ideal detectors. Secondly, the practical detectors with quantum efficiencies less than unity are discussed.

  • The interferometric correlation, or coherence, is calculated to measure the variance of the interferometric phase and amplitude within the neighbourhood of any location within the image at a result of SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) interferometric process which utilizes the phase information of the images. The coherence contains additional information that is useful for detecting point targets which change their location in an area of interest (AOI). In this research, a RGB colour composite image was generated with a intensity image (master image), a intensity change image as a difference between master image and slave image, and a coherence image generated as a part of SAR interferometric processing. We developed a technique performing detection of a point target movement using SAR interferometry and applied it to suitable tandem pair images of ERS-1 and ERS-2 as test data. The possibility of change detection of a point target in the AOI could be identified with the technique proposed in this research.
