셔츠와 타이의 배색방법에 따른 남성복의 인상 평가 (제1보) - 보라, 초록색의 톤 온 톤 배색을 중심으로 - (The Impression Evaluation according to Coloration of Shirts and Ties (I) - On Tone-on-Tone Coloration of Purple and Green -)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the various impressions that tone-on-tone coloration of shirts and ties gives. This experiment was based on the $2\times4\times4\times2$ factorial designs; colors (purple and green), shirt tones (vivid, light, dull, and dark), tie tones (vivid, light, dull, and dark) and perceivers' genders (male and female). The materials in the experiment developed for this study were composed of various stimuli and the response scales for each stimulus. The stimuli were 32 upper body photographs, which were color printed by CAD system (4D-box program). We unified those colors of shirts and ties, and then made shirt and tie tone different. 27 bi-polar adjectives, each of which was graded into seven in its degree, were used to evaluate the impression. The subjects of this research were 192 male and 192 female college students in Gyeongnam province including Jinju City. The data was analyzed by using SPSS program. Analyzing methods were one-way ANOVA and LSD test. The items of the adjectives were classified into 5 impression dimensions; potency, activeness, attractiveness, visibility and tenderness. In conclusion the impression through matching shirts and ties could be varied by the colors and the tones of shirts and ties. This study can be used as the basic color data in the males' clothes market which gradually pursuits high-quality, personality, and variety.

Constructing Impressions with Multimedia Ringtones and a Smartphone Usage Tracker

  • In this paper, we studied facial impression construction with smartphones in a series of experiments with two smartphone applications: SmartRing and SystemSens+. In the first experiment, impressions of faces associated with different music genres (trot vs. classical) were compared to impressions formed from a facial image alone along the social warmth and intelligence dimensions. In the second experiment, the effect of similarity attraction was investigated by manipulating the extroversion of facial images. Results indicated that impressions of faces cannot only be constructed along the social warmth and intelligence dimensions, but can also be made more or less attractive based on their similarity to the viewer's personality. Our experiments provide interesting insights into facial impressions formed in a smartphone environment.

경증 및 중증 외상성 뇌손상 환자의 성격평가 질문지 프로파일 (Personality Assessment Inventory Profiles of Patients with Mild and Severe Traumatic Brain Injury)

  • Objectives:This study was designed to investigate the characteristics of personality changes and emotional distress using the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) in patients with traumatic brain injury(TBI), divided into mild (MTBI) and severe (STBI) groups according to the severity of injury. Methods:The subjects were consisted of 25 patients with MTBI, 25 patients with STBI, and 25 normal controls. They were interviewed with the PAI. The data were analyzed by ${\chi}^2$ test, analysis of variance and Tukey test. Results:The results were the followings. First, Negative Impression in validity scales was elevated above cutoff point(T score 70) in both MTBI and STBI groups. Second, the clinical scales of which scores elevated above the cutoff point were Somatic Complaints, Anxiety, Anxiety-Related Disorders, Depression, and Schizophrenia in the MTBI, and Somatic Complaints and Depression in the STBI. Third, the clinical subscales above the cutoff point were Conversion, Somatization, Health Concerns, Affective Anxiety, Physiological Anxiety, Traumatic Stress, Cognitive Depression, Affective Depression, Physiological Depression, Thought Disorder, and Affective Instability in the MTBI, and Health Concerns, Cognitive Depression, Affective Depression, and Physiological Depression in the STBI. Fourth, Suicide Ideation in treatment scales was the only scale above the cutoff point in the MTBI and the others of the treatment and interpersonal scales in the MTBI and all of these scales of the STBI were not elevated above the cutoff point. Fifth, the scales of which scores showed significant difference between the MTBI and the STBI were Somatic Complaints, Anxiety, Depression, and Suicide Ideation, the subscales were Conversion, Somatization, Health Concerns, Affective Anxiety, Physiological Anxiety, Physiological Depression, and Psychotic Experiences. Conclusion:These results suggest that the patients with MTBI had more somatic and anxiety symptoms, depressed mood, and suicidal ideation than the patients with STBI. These characteristics are generally consistent with clinical observation and findings from previous studies of the patients with TBI, and the PAI seems to be a beneficial adjunctive assessment tool for the evaluation of patients with traumatic brain injury.

성 관련 의복단서와 성 역할 정체감이 대인지각에 미치는 영향 -여대생을 중심으로- (Some Effects of Sex-linked Clothing Cue and Gender Schema on the Perception of Others -Research about student of Women s University-)

  • The main purpose of this study was to find the roles of sex related clothes. The result of the study showed that he effects of sex related clothes were vast and strong. 1. It appeared that sex related clothes affected the wearer's outside aspects and also inferred the wearer's inside characteristics. Subjects judged the wearer's sex by sex related clothes, and confidence in judgement about the wear's sex also appeared stronger when cue of sex related clothes is more clear than being ambiguous. Judging the model's impression when subjects evaluated other's appearance and personality ,clothes affected it and clothes also had a strong impact when subject inferred others's characteristics such as ability and activity. Among the three kinds of sex related cue like men's clothes, women's clothes and ambiguous clothes, when a model wore men's clothes, he mode's impression judged by the subjects was most favorable and positive. But respondents sex role identity appeared that it didn't affected the judgement of the wearer's sex, evaluation and inference of wearer's characteristics. But this result didn't match with the gender schema theory.

"진실의 창안": 포드 매독스 포드의 삶과 문학적 인상주의 ("To Invent the Truth": Ford Madox Ford's Life and His Literary Impression)

  • Among many literary isms, impressionism is often regarded as the most frank expression of personality. As a masterpiece of modernism, Ford Madox Ford's The Good Soldier is a celebration of the subjectivity which reflects the writer's experiential reality. For Madox Ford, art is not to achieve the true objectivity of human society, but to seize the momentary perception in personal life. As the beginning of modernism, Madox Ford's impressionaism was mostly devoted to give fictive life to subjective impressions. And his heroes are usually the egoless person who can absorb the intense rapidity of consciousness without any prejudice. However, the innocent mind's receptions of myriad impressions, like those of the protagonist John Dowell or his idealized version of Major Ashburnham in The Good Solidier, were described as the enjoyable yet deceptive ones in Madox Ford's works. To engrave more sold perceptive impressions into life, Madox Ford often contrasts or mixes truth with deception, life with death as he did in his real life. Speicially as the result of thick application of real-life subject matters to his writings, Madox Ford's literary works get more vivid colors and penetrating forms. Thus, his literary impressionism based upon his harsh and passionate realities overcomes the limitations of shifting moments of senses, demolishing the boundaries between what is objective and what is subjective, like post-impressionism or expressionism. Namely, as Walter Lowenfels said, Madox Ford did not follow the impossible objectivity passively, yet instead "knew how to invent the truth."

치과기공사로서 갖추어야 할 과학적이고 논리적인 사고능력 (Scientific-mind and Logical Thought Ability as an Dental Technician)

  • These days, Dental Technic has been contributed to make more delicating Dental Prosthesis Restoration for patient and dentist. Diagnostic wax-up and making Temporary Crown are emphasized as an important part of Dental Technic. Choosing suitable Material and working with various new Equipments like Microscope improve accuracy. Repeated practice by setting up an organized system gives better result. Also, Esthetic Prosthesis requires patient's appearance and personality as well as patient' age, sex, and shade so on. Moreover, the problem which occurs by the patient's oral condition ha to be discussed before taking final impression. At a time like this, Scientific-mind and Logical thought Ability should be considered the important issue for more progressive Dental Technic.

일부 성인의 개인적 기질 및 치과 방문경험과 치과공포와의 상관성 (Correlation between personal temperament, dental visit, and dental fear among adults)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the correlation between personal temperament, dental visit, and dental fear among adults. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 400 adults visiting dental clinics from April to June, 2016. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, dental fear, and temperament. Data were analyzed by t test, chi-square test, chi-square test, and pearson's correlation analysis using SPSS v. 23.0. Results: The first impression of dental clinics had an impact on dental fear (p<0.001). The negative image on the dental clinics increased dental fear of the visitors. There was a significant difference between the purpose of dental visit and dentla fear. Conclusions: The positive image of the dental clinics can solve the dental fear due to treatment in the adults. The dental consumers should try to have the comfortable attitude toward dental clinic in case of visit.

화장의 사회.심리적 기대효과에 따른 화장이미지와 자의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Makeup Image and Self-Consciousness According to the Level of Expected Socio-Psychological Effect of Makeup)

  • This study was made to investigate the differences in Korean woman's perceived makeup image and self-consciousness according to their expectation level in socio-psychological effect of makeup, and to gather information needed for the better understanding of cosmetics consumers and more effective marketing activities of cosmetics industries. Normative-descriptive survey method using questionnaire was employed for the present study. The survey was conducted in August 2001 and the sample consisted of 942 women between the ages of 18 and 50 residing in Seoul and Kyungi province. Data were analyzed by SPSS package. Factor analysis, ANOVA, and MANOVA were employed for the analysis of the data. The results are as follows : (1) Six factors emerged from the data related to the category of expected socio-psychological effect of makeup. Those factors were named as "increasing positiveness", "refreshment", "covering weakness", "self-expression", "consideration for others", and "the tool for self-change". Four factors were found in the category of makeup image, and the factors were named as "refinement", "nobility", "favorable impression ", and "personality ". (2) There was a tendency that those who highly expect the socio-psychological effect of makeup have more positive self-image. Considering this differences in self-image according to the level of expected socio-psychological effect of makeup. service activities for the consumers' positive opinion and attitude to the effect of makeup are needed, and it seems that those service activities will have a good influence on the consumers' emotional health. (3) Subjects with higher level of social anxiety showed higher expectations in refreshment, covering weakness and self-expression. Considering this trend, marketers have to make an constant effort for the variety of cosmetics and makeup manner by which consumers satisfy their expectation in makeup. It seems that the satisfaction of their expectation on the help of makeup effect will contribute to lessen social anxiety, and to get emotional stability. (4) Subjects with higher personal self-anxiety showed higher expectations of the effect. "increase of positiveness". Clinical and Neuropsychological Factors Associated with Treatment Response and Adverse Events of Atomoxetine in Children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate clinical and neuropsychological factors associated with treatment response and adverse events of atomoxetine in children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in Korea. Methods: Children with ADHD were recruited at the Department of Psychiatry of Asan Medical Center from April 2015 to April 2018. Diagnoses of ADHD and comorbid psychiatric disorders were confirmed with the Kiddie-Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia-Present and Lifetime Version. The subjects were subsequently treated with atomoxetine for 12 weeks and illness severity was scored using the ADHD Rating Scale, Clinical Global Impression-Severity scale (CGI-S) and/or Improvement scale (CGI-I), at pre- and post-treatment. They also completed the Advanced Test of Attention (ATA), while their caregivers completed the Korean Personality Rating Scale for Children (KPRC) at pre- and post-treatment. Independent t-test, Fisher's exact test, ${\chi}^2$ test, mixed between-within analysis of variance and correlation analysis were used for statistical analysis. Results: Sixty-five children with ADHD (mean age: $7.9{\pm}1.4years$, 57 boys) were enrolled, of which, 33 (50.8%) were treatment responders. Scores on the social dysfunction subscale of the KPRC (p=0.021) and commission errors on the visual ATA (p=0.036) at baseline were higher in treatment non-responders than in responders; however, the statistical significances disappeared after adjusting for multiple comparisons. Mood changes were also observed in 13 subjects (20.0%), and three of them discontinued atomoxetine due to this. Additionally, atomoxetine-emergent mood change was observed more frequently in girls (p=0.006), while the intelligence quotient (p=0.040) was higher in those subjects with mood changes than in those without. Conclusion: The results of our study suggest that clinical and neuropsychological factors could be associated with treatment response or adverse events of atomoxetine in children with ADHD. Further long-term studies with larger samples are needed.

애니메이션 및 영화에 등장하는 정서교감형 로봇의 캐릭터라이징 전략 - 외형과 행동 경향성 분석을 중심으로 - (Characterizing Strategy of Emotional sympathetic Robots in Animation and Movie - Focused on Appearance and Behavior tendency Analysis -)

  • 본 연구는 애니메이션 및 영화와 같은 영상저작물에서 묘사되는 로봇이 핵심인물과 교감하고 애착을 형성하는 조건을 분석하여 정서교감형 로봇의 캐릭터라이징 전략을 정리하고자했다. 인공지능과 로봇 분야는 기술의 발전에 따라 더 이상 공상과학의 영역이 아닌 현실의 문제로 여겨지고 있다. 이에 영상저작물에서 창조된 정서교감형 로봇의 표현적 특성이, 향후 널리 보급될 것으로 예상되는 인간친화적 서비스 로봇계열의 표현적 구현 즉, 캐릭터성 구축에 있어서 의미 있는 요인이 될 것이라는 가정을 내릴 수 있었으며, 그 기초를 세우기 위한 목적에서 본 연구가 시작되었다. 분석 대상은 현대적인 로봇의 개념을 천명한 1920년대 이후 제작된 영화와 애니메이션 중에서, 핵심인물과의 정서적 친밀성이 명확히 관찰되는 로봇 캐릭터로 한정했다. 그리고 로봇의 외형과 행동 경향성을 파악하기 위해, (1) 로봇의 외현적 인상을 5가지(인간적, 만화적, 도구적, 인공적, 애완동물적) 분류에 의해 유형화하고, (2) 성격의 외적 구현으로 여길 수 있는 행동 경향성은 DiSC 행동유형 진단도구를 활용하여 유형화했다. 한편, 정서적 친밀성이 높은 로봇은 감정 수용력과 임무로부터의 독립성이 강하다는 공통점을 관찰할 수 있었다. 따라서, 사교형과 안정형의 행동유형이 감정수용성이 높고, 사교형의 독립성이 높은 편이며, 신중형은 감정 수용성과 독립성이 전반적으로 낮은 것으로 파악되었다. 다만, 외현적 인상 분석을 통해 파악한 외형요인은 정서교감 능력에 대해 유의미한 관계성을 파악하기 어려웠다. 따라서 정서적 교감 능력이 강한 로봇의 조건은, 현실의 인간 관계형성 과정과 유사하게, 첫인상보다는 소통을 통한 정서적 교감이 주요한 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 끝으로, 로봇의 캐릭터성을 연구하기 위해서는 실로 광범위한 분야에 대한 통섭적 역량이 필요하다고 여겨진다. 로봇 캐릭터를 디자인적 요인과 성격적 요인만으로 재단하기에는 인간과의 교감에 요구되는 방대한 정보를 온전하게 분석하기 어렵다는 한계 역시 통감할 수 있었다. 그러나 이를 위한 초석으로서, 간학문적 연구가 필요한 로봇의 개발에 애니메이션이 가지는 종합예술적 가치가 값지게 활용되기를 기대하며 연구를 마무리하고자 한다.
