  • As arbitration is widely used as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism, third-party funding, which is a person or entity with no prior interest in the legal dispute providing non-recourse financing for one of the parties, has become more prevalent with increasing costs of international arbitration. In particular, Hong Kong and Singapore are the first jurisdictions to adopt and implement legislations to specifically permit third-party funding of international arbitration. Thus, in this article, relevant issues with respect to third-party funding of arbitration, such as, conflicts of interest, disclosure, privilege and confidentiality of information, cost allocation, security for costs, and control over arbitral proceedings by the third-party funder are examined with pertinent provisions of the recent legislations. While the respective legislations of Hong Kong and Singapore may not directly address every issue raised by third-party funding of arbitration, as they make it clear that such is no longer prohibited by the old common law doctrines of champerty and maintenance, they have clarified conflicting case law as well as proactively promoted themselves as leading seats of international arbitration.

The region of interest (ROI) is extracted from a picture by applying the Saliency Map and the Image Segmentation technology, the composition of the photo is amended based on this area to satisfy the Rule of Thirds. In addition, since the face region of the person is added to ROI by the Face Detection technique and the composition is amended by the various scenario according to ROI, the little more natural picture is acquired. Results: Google Trends analysis showed a strong positive correlation between the RSVs of "suicide and depression," "acupuncture and chronic pain," and "acupressure and PTSD." The electronic database search results produced numerous studies published on "suicide and depression," "acupuncture and depression," and "acupressure and anxiety." High interest in "suicide and depression," "acupuncture and chronic pain," and "acupressure and anxiety" was seen among the public and researchers. Interest in "suicide and chronic pain," "acupuncture and eating disorder," and "acupressure and PTSD" was higher in the public than among researchers, while "anxiety and suicide" and "anxiety and acu- puncture" showed opposite trends. Conclusions: The results of this research enable an understanding of public and researcher interest in suicide, acupuncture, acupressure, and suicide-related illnesses. • Along with a rapid increase in the number of 1-person households where the concept of 1-person consumption and 1-person economy is emphasized, the proportion of 1-person household in Korea occupies a 25.3% at present, and the number is expected to grow continuously. And this rapid increase will bring about a host of problems such as housing shortage in the metropolitan area, egoism, loneliness felt by individuals, and other social problems such as crime. As an alternate movement to this phenomenon, concern on and interest in community, community culture, and sharing of space are on the rise, together with concern on and preference for sharehouse culture. In news media as well, articles on life shared with members of a sharehouse often appear. This sharehouse, which is widely spread and well received in Japan, not only reduces economic burden but also creates their own community and promotes their own culture. In this sense, it is a new way of life that represents benefits of sharing, well beyond just economic interests. Accordingly, In this research, an attempt was made tp examine the circumstances in the use of space based on existing studies on sharehouse characteristics in order to shed new lights on the meaning that non-characteristic space concept of the traditional residential space has as the concept of sharehouse space by considering it in connection with the non-characteristic space concept of the Korean traditional residential space where diverse circumstances occur centered on communal life and which were accepted by all naturally.
