Effects of the Air Volume in the Air Chamber on the Performance of Water Hammer Pump System

  • Recently, as global-scale problems, such as global warming and energy depletion, have attracted attention, the importance of future environmental preservation has been emphasized worldwide, and various measures have been proposed and implemented. This study focuses on water hammer pumps that can effectively use the water hammer phenomenon and allow fluid transport without drive sources, such as electric motors. An understanding of operating conditions of water hammer pumps and an evaluation of their basic hydrodynamic characteristics are significant for determining whether they can be widely used as an energy-saving device in the future. However, conventional studies have not described the pump performance in terms of pump head and flow rate, common measures indicating the performance of pumps. As a first stage for the understanding of water hammer pump performance in comparison to the characteristics of typical turbo pumps, the previous study focused on understanding the basic hydrodynamic characteristics of water hammer pumps and experimentally examined how the hydrodynamic characteristics were affected by the inner diameters of the drive and lift pipes and the angle of the drive pipe. This paper suggests the effect of the air volume in the air chamber that affects the hydrodynamic characteristics and operating conditions of the water hammer pump.

ERP도입의 성공요인과 시스템 정보특성간의 적합성이 시스템 성과에 미치는 영향분석 (An Analysis of Effect of a Fit Between Success Factors of ERP Implementation and Information Characteristics of ERP System on System Performance)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 ERP도입의 성공요인을 조직적 요인, 환경적 요인, 정보적 요인으로 구분하였으며, 시스템 정보특성을 정보형태, 정보내용, 정보원천, 정보제공빈도로 구분하였다. 이 두 요인들의 적합성이 시스템 성과(사용자 만족도)에 미치는 영향관계를 검증해 보고자 하였다. 표본기업은 중소기업 250개사를 선정하였으며, 79부를 분석에 이용하였다. 업종은 제조업을 대상으로 하였으며 응답자의 직위 등은 고려하지 않았다. 연구결과는ERP도입의 조직적요인, 환경적요인, 정보적요인과 시스템 정보특성간의 적합성에 있어서 시스템 성과에 양(+)의 영향관계가 있는 것으로 조사되었다.

  • This study identified online information characteristics and investigated the effects of information characteristics on word of mouth performance in online environment. And the comsumer knowledge was found to be a moderator of the relationship between information characteristics and WOM performance in online environment. The implication of this work to both researchers and practitioners were discussed.

  • The importance of project performance management as an alternative for solving problems is rising, which are followed by the hardships of managing construction project in the construction industry. This research classifies and applies the improvements made by the operator's work, in order to apply factors of success on the construction project, as performance management factors. In addition, in order to predict the results reflecting the project characteristic of performance management factor un-improvable by the operator in the initial stage of construction, the effect of project characteristic to the performance was drawn by performance difficulty. Also, in order to improve the predicted performance, researches on setting valid best practices according to the performance territory through a correlation analysis between the best practices improvable through the operator's work, and the performance was made.

펫(Pet) 창업자의 개인적 특성 및 창업과정 특성이 창업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구 - 동물병원을 중심으로 - (An empirical study on the effect of the founder's personal characteristics and business preparing procedure characteristics on the pet business performance - Focused on pet hospital -)

  • 본 연구에서는 동물병원 창업을 중심으로 국내 기존 펫(pet) 창업자의 특성이 창업성공에 미치는 영향을 평가해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 동물병원 창업자의 배경적 특성과 심리적 특성, 그리고 창업준비과정 특성, 동물병원 서비스요인 특성들이 창업성공 요인, 즉 창업성과에 미치는 영향을 재무적 성과 및 비재무적 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 서울 경기 지역 동물병원 150곳에 대하여 설문을 통한 조사연구를 수행하였으며 다음과 같은 주요 결과를 도출하였다. 우선, 창업성과 요인 중 재무적 성과에 대한 연구모형의 분석 결과, 창업자의 배경특성변인 중 학력 요인은 동물병원의 재무적 성과에 부정적인 영향력을 미치며, 창업자의 심리특성 중 통제위치 요인이, 창업준비과정 변인 중에서는 자금조달 요인이 전체적인 재무적 성과에 긍정적인 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 창업성과 요인 중 비재무적 성과에 대한 연구모형의 분석 결과, 창업자의 창업준비과정 변인 중 위험감수성향, 서비스품질 중 무형서비스품질이 비재무적 성과에 긍정적인 영향력을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 최근 건설 환경의 급변화로 인해 건설 프로젝트의 실패 가능성이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 이유로 건설 산업에서는 합리적인 프로젝트 관리전략을 수립하기 위하여 프로젝트의 성과에 영향을 미치는 성공요인에 대한 다각적인 연구가 제시되고 있다. 하지만 프로젝트 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 개선 여부에 따른 혼재로 합리적인 성과관리가 힘든 상황이며, 특히 개선 불가능한 요인인 프로젝트 특성은 성과에 영향을 미치는 독립변수로 성과 도출의 난이도를 결정하게 됨에도 불구하고 이에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 성과지표와 특성지표체계를 이용하여 성과와 특성간의 영향관계를 밝혀내고 그 결과를 퍼지이론으로 정량화하여 성과 난이도 지수를 산정하며 특성간의 중요도를 고려하여 최종적으로 성과 난이도를 예측하는 연구과정을 수행하였다. 또한 성과 난이도 예측에 있어서 시간과 노력을 절감하여 효율적인 프로젝트 관리 전략을 수립하기 위해서 시공자가 서로 다른 프로젝트의 특성을 입력함에 따라 프로젝트의 각 성과영역에 어떠한 난이도를 갖는지 미리 예측하고 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 프로젝트 성과 난이도 예측 시스템을 개발하였다.

콜센터 상담사의 직무성과 및 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 : 개인특성과 조직특성을 중심으로 (Factors Affecting Job Performance and Turnover Intention of Call Center Representatives : Focusing on Individual Characteristics and Organizational Characteristics)

  • This study examined the factors that influence the turnover intention, job performance of call center representatives based on the adaptive structuration theory (AST). This study intended to empirically examine how individual characteristics of representative affect the technological and task adaptation, how they affect job performance and turnover intention. On the other hand, this study also explains how rational culture and organization a reputation which are considered as dimensions of organizational characteristics affects organizational commitment, and verifies the relationship between organizational commitment and job performance and turnover intention. Finally this paper aim to provide academic and practical implications. In order to solve the above research problems, this research proposed a model based on the adaptive structuration theory. In order to identify the relationship between the proposed variables and the AST for individual, we conducted an empirical test on the call center representatives. The structural equation model was used to verify the research model and hypotheses. The results of the empirical analysis show that the personal characteristics of counselors, such as communication skills, multitasking abilities, and innovativeness have a positive effect on skill adaptation, and skill adaptation has a positive effect on task adaptation, furthermore, it influences on job performance and turnover intention Respectively. In addition, among the factors of organizational environmental dimensions of the call center, it was found that organizational reputation not only increase continuance commitment but also increase normative commitment. Contrary to our expectations, perceived rational culture didn't have a positive effect on organizational commitment. Also, continuance commitment and normative commitment are valid predictors of job performance, but they have nothing to do with turnover intention. On the contrary, emotional commitment is the only one variable among three dimensions of organizational commitment have a positive effect on turnover intention, but is not a valid predictor of job performance.

An Empirical Study on the Characteristic Influences of the Rules of Origin on the Implementation of Preferential Tariffs and Trade Performance

  • Purpose - This study categorizes factors that influence the utilization of preferential tariffs based on the characteristics of rules of origin (RoO) and identifies and analyzes the influence of these characteristics on the utilization of preferential tariffs and the trade performance of companies. Design/methodology - In this study, we categorized factors that have an influence on the utilization of preferential tariffs based on the characteristics of RoO and investigated and tested the influence of these characteristics on the utilization of preferential tariffs and the trade performance of companies. For empirical analysis, we categorized the characteristics of RoO into restrictiveness, complexity, and uncertainty. We then developed a research model and formulated hypotheses based on previous studies, and tested the hypotheses using statistical software-(SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 18.0.) Findings - Previous studies suggested that each characteristic of RoO is determined by unique features of a Regional Trade Agreement (RTA). This study conducted an empirical analysis on the influence of the characteristics of RoO on the utilization of preferential tariffs and trade performance. The results confirmed that, overall, the characteristics of preferential rules of origin (PRoO) are related to and influence Korean companies' utilization of preferential tariffs and trade performance. As for the degree of the influence, the characteristics were in the order of uncertainty> restrictiveness> complexity. Nevertheless, complexity turned out not to have an influence large enough to change a company's decision on the utilization of preferential tariffs. Based on these results, this study identified unique features of PRoO and related problems for Korean companies that want to utilize preferential tariffs and suggested countermeasures for their effective utilization of preferential tariffs in the future. Originality/value - Companies that want to use preferential tariffs in international trade have to satisfy PRoO. The issue of origin can be regarded as an essential part of an RTA and RoO, are a crucial criterion in using preferential tariffs. The rules are requirements to claim benefits of preferential trade agreements and are the primary reasons companies have trouble in utilizing preferential tariffs. In this sense, this study categorized the characteristics of RoO, which are a key part of an RTA, and surveyed working-level professionals in charge of international trade at Korean companies to investigate the relationship between these characteristics and the utilizations of preferential tariffs and trade performance of the companies.

접선류 임펠러형 수도미터의 노즐직경이 성능특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Nozzle Diameter on Performance Characteristics for a Tangential Impeller-type Water Meter)

  • In this study the effects of nozzle diameter on the performance characteristics for the tangential impeller-type water meter are studied experimentally. The nozzle is cut along the tangential direction of the inner case in the water meter. The nozzle shape is round and the number of nozzles used for the experimental study are 8. The performance characteristics are discussed for various nozzle diameters such as 3.1, 3.3, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 mm. Among the tangential impeller-type water meters, the water meter with the nozzle diameter of 5.0 mm shows the least pressure loss and the instrumental error compared to the Korean Standards.

두 가지 특성치를 갖는 제품의 선택적 조립 (Selective Assembly for Products with Two Performance Characteristics)

  • Selective assembly is a method to find out appropriate matching pairs to be assembled to enhance the quality of the product. This study proposes an algorithm to select and match the components with two performance characteristics: at first, the number of matchable mates are calculated for each components. A matchable mate is defined to be the one of which the values of each performance characteristics lie in a rectangular mesh originated from the component under consideration. And the highest priority is given to the item with smallest number of matchable mates. The item of highest priority is matched to the one with smallest number of matchable mates among them. To find out the mates for the unmatched items, the mesh size is enlarged at the next iteration. Beginning with a small mesh, the procedure is repeated until the mesh covers the tolerance intervals of each performance characteristics. A VCR head case is analyzed.
