본 연구는 PVA(polyvinyl alcohol) 섬유와 VAE(vinyl acetate ethylene) 분말 폴리머를 사용한 시멘트복합체의 압축 휨강도 와 온도변화에 따른 충격파괴거동을 연구하였다.

A size dependent bending behavior of piezoelectrical flexoelectric layered perforated functionally graded (FG) composite nanobeam rested on an elastic foundation is investigated analytically. The composite beam is composed of regularly cutout FG core and two piezoelectric face sheets. The material characteristics is graded through the core thickness by power law function. Regular squared cutout perforation pattern is considered and closed forms of the equivalent stiffness parameters are derived. The modified nonlocal strain gradient elasticity theory is employed to incorporate the microstructure as well as nonlocality effects into governing equations. The Winkler as well as the Pasternak elastic foundation models are employed to simulate the substrate medium. The Hamiltonian approach is adopted to derive the governing equilibrium equation including piezoelectric and flexoelectric effects. Analytical solution methodology is developed to derive closed forms for the size dependent electromechanical as well as mechanical bending profiles. The model is verified by comparing the obtained results with the available corresponding results in the literature. To demonstrate the applicability of the developed procedure, parametric studies are performed to explore influences of gradation index, elastic medium parameters, flexoelectric and piezoelectric parameters, geometrical and peroration parameters, and material parameters on the size dependent bending behavior of piezoelectrically layered PFG nanobeams. Results obtained revealed the significant effects both the flexoelectric and piezoelectric parameters on the bending behavior of the piezoelectric composite nanobeams. These parameters could be controlled to improve the size dependent electromechanical as well as mechanical behaviors. The obtained results and the developed procedure are helpful for design and manufacturing of MEMS and NEMS.
This work aims to present a solution for the buckling behavior of perforated nano/microbeams with deformable boundary conditions using nonlocal strain gradient theory (NLSGT). For the first time, a solution that can provide buckling loads based on the non-local and strain gradient effects of perforated nanostructures on an elastic foundation, while taking into account both deformable and rigid boundary conditions. Stokes' transformation and Fourier series are used to realize this aim and determine the buckling loads under various boundary conditions. We employ the NLSGT to account for size-dependent effects and utilize the Winkler model to formulate the elastic foundation. The buckling behavior of the perforated nano/microbeams restrained with lateral springs at both ends is studied for various parameters such as the number of holes, the length and filling ratio of the perforated beam, the internal length, the nonlocal parameter and the dimensionless foundation parameter. Our results indicate that the number of holes and filling ratio significantly affect the buckling response of perforated nano/microbeams. Increasing the filling ratio increases buckling loads, while increasing the number of holes decreases buckling loads. The effects of the non-local and internal length parameters on the buckling behavior of the perforated nano/microbeams are also discussed. These material length parameters have opposite effects on the variation of buckling loads. This study presents an effective eigenvalue solution based on Stokes' transformation and Fourier series of the restrained nano/microbeams under the effects of elastic medium, perforation parameters, deformable boundaries and nonlocal strain gradient elasticity for the first time.
A local behavior law, which includes elasticity, plasticity and damage, is developed in a three dimensional numerical model for concrete. The model is based on the Discrete Element Method (DEM)and the computational implementation has been carried out in the numerical Code YADE. This model was used to study the response of a concrete slab impacted by a rigid missile, and focuses on the extension of the compacted zone. To do so, the model was first used to simulate compression and hydrostatic tests. Once the local constitutive law parameters of the discrete element model were calibrated, the numerical model simulated the impact of a rigid missile used as a reference case to be compared to an experimental data set. From this reference case, simulations were carried out to show the importance of compaction during an impact and how it expands depending on the different impact conditions. Moreover, the numerical results were compared to empirical predictive formulae for penetration and perforation cases, demonstrating the importance of taking into account the local compaction process in the local interaction law between discrete elements.
The odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) is a developmental odontogenic cyst typically occurring in the jaws. Since the first description of OKC was published in 1956, the lesion has been of particular interest because of its specific histopathologic features, high recurrence rate, and aggressive behavior. Recurrences most commonly arise within bone at the site of the original cyst. However, as lining cells may find their way into surrounding tissues either from implantation during surgery or from cortical perforation recurrences may arise at a distance from the original cyst. Here, we report a rare case of recurrent OKC which was first developed in mandible and recurred within the masticatory space.
In order to investigate the effect of surface treatment in Aluminium alloy and Titanium alloy which are used to armor material during ballistic impact, a ballistic testing was conducted. Anodizing was used to achieve higher surface hardness of Aluminium alloy and Iron plating in PVD(Physical Vapor Deposition) method was used to achieve higher surface hardness of Titanium alloy. Surface hardness test were conducted using a Micro victor's hardness tester. Ballistic resistance of these materials was measured by protection ballistic limit(V-50), a statical velocity with 50% probability penetration. Fracture behaviors and ballistic tolerance, described by penetration modes, are respectfully observed from the results of V-50 test and Projectile Through Plates (PTP) test at velocities greater than V-50. PTP tests were conducted with 0$^{\circ}$obliquity at room temperature using 5.56mm ball projectile. V-50 tests were conducted with 0$^{\circ}$obliquity at room temperature with projectiles that were able to achieve near or complete penetration during PTP tests. Surface hardness, resistance to penetration. and penetration modes of surface treated alloy laminates are compared to those of surface non-treated alloy laminates. A high speed photography was used to analyze the dynamic perforation phenomena of the test materials.
Impact experiments have been carried out on concrete slabs. The first group was traditionally manufactured, densely reinforced concrete targets, and the next were ordinary Portland and calcium aluminate cement based HPSFRC (High performance steel fiber reinforced concrete) and SIFCON (Slurry infiltrated concrete) targets. All specimens were hit by anti-armor tungsten projectiles at a muzzle velocity of over 4 Mach causing destructive perforation. In Part I of this article, production and experimental procedures are described. The first group of specimens were ordinary CEM I 42.5 R cement based targets including only dense reinforcement. In the second and third groups, specimens were produced using CEM I 42.5 R cement and Calcium Aluminate Cement (CAC40) with ordinary reinforcement and steel fibers 2 percent in volume. In the fourth group, SIFCON specimens including 12 percent of steel fibers without reinforcement were tested. A high-speed camera was used to capture impact and residual velocities of the projectile. Sample tests were performed to obtain mechanical properties of the materials. In the companion Part II of this study, numerical investigations and simulations performed will be presented. Few studies exist that examine high-velocity impact effects on CAC40 based HPSFRC targets, so this investigation gives an insight for comparison of their behavior with Portland cement based and SIFCON specimens.
The present observations on the perforation bored into young bivalve Tapes philippinarum (less than 2 mm in shell length) by boring snails were conducted at Sunjae Island in 1960 and Inchon Harbor inn 1962. 1. Young bivalves of the species which were left with bored in them were found both in Inchon Harbor and Sunjae Island. 2. The location of the holes in the valves of the young bivalve varied widely, while the holes of the adult bivalve were located at relatively definite position in the valves. 3. The author realized that the holes are bored by a species of snails that have radulas, for the inner diameters of the holes were much smaller than the router diameters. 4. The size of the holes in the valves of young bivalve was much smaller than those holes bored in adult valves. The minimum size of the holes was only 7.5microns in diameter. 5. The author considered that the boring snail is Natica severa that is found abundantly in Inchon Harbor and Sunjae Island and that this snail is the only species found in the particular areas and performs the above mentioned behavior. However, the author could not confirm experimentally the snail drilling young bivalve of Tapes philippinarum .
In this study, the numerical simulation using AUTODYN-3D program was investigated angle trajectory prediction for inclined impacts of projectiles. The penetration and perforation of polycarbonate plate by 7.62 mm projectile was investigated numerically. The characteristic structure of the projectile's trajectory in the polycabonate plates was studied. Two combined failure criteria were used in the target plate, and the target plate was modeled with the properties of polycarbonate for simulating the ricochet phenomenon. The effect of the angle of inclination on the trajectory and kinetic energy of the projectile were studied. The dynamic deformation behaviors tests of polycabonate were compared with numerical simulation results which can be used as predictive purpose. From the simulation, the ricochet phenomenon was occurred for angles of inclination of $0^{\circ}{\leq}{\theta}{\leq}20^{\circ}$. The projectile perforated the plate for ${\theta}{\leq}30^{\circ}$, thus defining a failure envelope for numerical configuration. The numerical analyses are used to study the effect of the projectile impact velocity on the depth of penetration (DOP). It can be observed that the residual velocities were almost linear relative to penetration velocities. It means that polycarbonate has high resistance at higher velocities.
