이 연구의 목적은 도서관법(법률 제18547호)의 주요 특징인 공공도서관 등록제에 대해서 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 문헌연구를 통해 도서관법에서 '등록'의 법적 성격을 살펴보고, 전국 34개 등록관청 회의에 참여하여 예상등록률과 등록제에 대한 현장의 인식을 조사하였다. 조사 결과, 도서관법에서의 등록은 절차와 방법에서는 허가제의 성격을 지녔으나, 효력에서는 공증의 효력만을 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 전국의 예산등록률은 26%로 나타났다. 등록관청의 인식 조사에서는 등록제의 가장 큰 문제점으로 '비고'의 조항에 대한 문제, 업무 과중, 사서 확충의 어려움, 등록기준 및 등록대상의 불명확 등을 지적하였다. 이에 대해 도서관법의 실효성을 높이기 위한 개선방안을 제안하였다.

본 연구는 대구 중구에 새로운 구립 공공도서관을 설립하는 것에 관해 지역주민들의 인식을 조사하고자 실시되었다. 이를 위해 대구 중구 관내에서 중구 주민 174명과 향후 중구립 공공도서관을 이용할 가능성이 있는 타 구군 주민 126명 등 총 300명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 주민들은 공공도서관에 대한 현재와 미래의 가치를 높이 인식하였고, 공공도서관이 없을 경우, 지역사회에 큰 영향을 미치며 자신과 가족에도 영향을 미친다고 판단하였다. 또한 주민들은 중구의 공공도서관 수는 부족하며, 이를 개선하기 위해 중구립 공공도서관의 건립이 필요하며, 건립시 이용 의향이 높다고 응답하였다. 이외에도 이번 조사에는 중구립 공공도서관의 입지와 건축 방향과 장서, 서비스, 이용자에 관한 주민들의 인식도 조사되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 대구 중구립 공공도서관 건립을 위한 인식적 타당성은 상당히 확보된 것으로 판단되며, 향후 이 결과를 반영하여 보다 구체적인 중구립 공공도서관 건립계획과 운영계획이 수립될 필요가 있다.

본 연구는 도서관주간에 대한 관종별 도서관 직원의 인식을 설문조사를 통해 파악하고 향후 법정 도서관의 날 및 도서관주간 활성화를 위해 도서관계가 검토해야 할 내용을 모색했다. 분석결과, 도서관 직원의 도서관주간 참여경험과 주최기관의 행사지원에 대한 만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 2023년부터 시행될 법정 도서관의 날 및 도서관주간에 대한 인지도가 상당히 낮은 것으로 조사되었다. 향후 도서관의 날 및 도서관주간 추진 시 중점사항으로는 도서관에 대한 국가적 홍보와 행사를 위한 충분한 예산지원에 대한 의견이 많았다. 도서관 직원의 인식조사를 통해 향후 법정 도서관주간을 효과적으로 추진하기 위해서는 도서관계 인식 개선을 위한 다각적 노력, 다양한 관종 참여 유도를 위한 타 관종과의 연계 협력 및 관종별 협의회 내 추진위원회 구성, 각종 매체를 활용한 적극적 언론 홍보, 예산확보 등이 필요하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

This study examined the perception and use of web 2.0 applications for academic purposes by medical students of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. The objective was to investigate the medical students' perceptions of web 2.0 applications, web 2.0 tools use, extent of use, perception and purpose for using web 2.0 applications. Descriptive survey method was used for this study. The total population of this study was 3670 and the sample size was 367 representing 10% of the study. The purposive sampling technique was adopted, and the instrument used for this study was questionnaire, a total of 367 copies were administered and 321 were found useful for the study. Percentage means and standard deviation on table and chart were used to analyze the data collected using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. Findings showed that the perception of web 2.0 applications of medical students AAU was positive and few of web 2.0 applications were used for academic purposes. It was recommended in the study that medical students should be provided with the facilities in a format more familiar to them and used by most of them and institutions need to equip the learning process with the needed facilities which will be of utmost benefit even for future purposes.

The purpose of the study is to identify the perception of the Library and Information Science (LIS) specialists about the use of mobile phones in retrieving information. It investigates the present status of the LIS specialists regarding mobile phone usage, perceptions regarding the use of mobile phones in retrieving information from libraries and points out the possible drawbacks and their solutions for embracing mobile phones in retrieving information from libraries and providing some suggestions. The methodology includes a quantitative approach. The authors used a survey method using a structured questionnaire to measure the perception of LIS specialists regarding the use of mobile phones in retrieving information from libraries. The findings confirmed that the majority (72%) of LIS specialists have the experience of using mobile phones for more than 10 years. Findings also indicate that the LIS specialists have agreed with the statements of advantages of using mobile phones. This paper concludes that the respondents also agreed regarding the possible advantages of introducing mobile phones in retrieving information from libraries. The paper explores the original perceptions of LIS specialists regarding the use of mobile phones in retrieving information from libraries.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the status of specialized services and the overall satisfaction of the operation of the specialized services for the librarians and users of the specialized libraries, and based on the ISA method, compare the specialized theme data, specialized service place, specialized program, specialized theme area facilities and environment, and derive issues of the specialized library operation and improvement measures. Consequently, first, when developing the program, the specialized library needs to develop programs in possession of unique characteristics specific to the areas of the differentiated themes from the cultural and educational programs run by the existing libraries. Second, it is necessary to focus on the specialized theme area information services for the users, and to this end, it is necessary to improve librarians 'professionalism. Third, it is necessary to secure the budget for the specialized services and secure space. Since the scope of the services which may be provided as per the budget intended for providing specialized services may be limited, it would be necessary to secure and operate the budget systematic to this end. Fourth, the specialized library needs to proceed with activities in connection with local residents for the purposes of facilitating specialized services.

본 연구는 도서관에서 제공하는 적극적 정보제공 서비스로서의 테마전시 이용행태를 조사하고, 그 효과로서 이용자의 도서관 이용행태 변화와 인식변화를 확인하고자 하였다. 테마전시를 제공하는 3개 도서관의 7명의 사서와 8명의 이용자 심층인터뷰를 통해 연구 질문 및 설문지를 개발하고, 232명의 이용자를 대상으로 설문 및 통계분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과 테마전시 서비스가 이용자들의 다양한 자료이용을 도울 뿐 아니라, 사서에 대한 인식 및 도서관 평가에 긍정적인 변화를 주고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 토대로 각 도서관의 환경과 이용자층에 맞춰 테마전시를 적극적으로 수행할 것을 제안하였다.

본 연구에서는 도서관 업무 경험이 문헌정보학과 대학생의 진로에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향에 대해 탐구하고자 한 질적 사례연구이다. 이를 위하여 경기도 수원의 B도서관에서 도서관 서포터즈로 활동하고 있는 학생 19명을 대상으로 하여 진로 목표와 진로선택, 서포터즈 참여 경험, 서포터즈 프로그램에 대한 인식, 서포터즈 프로그램을 통한 진로에 대한 생각의 변화를 파악하기 위해 개별 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 도서관 서포터즈 활동이 미래 사서를 위한 준비가 되고 실제 사서업무를 배울 수 있는 매우 의미 있는 활동이라고 인식하고 있었다. 또한 미래 직업을 선택할 때 도서관 업무가 자신과 맞는지 맞지 않은지 미리 판단해 볼 수 있는 좋은 기회가 되는 것으로 나타났다.

As libraries strive to improve their services, many have expressed interest in implementing new technologies. One such technology is metaverse, a virtual-reality space that enables social activities using avatars. However, implementing this technology can be challenging when many librarians are unfamiliar with the concept. This study aimed to investigate how librarians' prior experiences with metaverse influence their expectations and potential use of the technology in libraries. Interviews with a total of 18 librarians were conducted. The study findings reveal that librarians had different conceptualizations of metaverse, regardless of prior experience. However, librarians had different thoughts on the potential use of metaverse for libraries dependent on prior experience. Regarding thoughts on potential use, the librarians who had non-experience running metaverse programs suggested ideas in expanding and trying out new services within metaverse. The librarians who had experience running metaverse programs, on the other hand, suggested focusing on transferring the existing services that are currently being provided in the library to metaverse.

본 연구는 도서관 이용자인 학부모들의 전자책에 대한 인식과 도서관의 전자책 서비스 만족도를 살펴보고, 향후 도서관의 전자책 서비스 개선 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 5개 도서관의 초등학생을 둔 학부모 150명을 대상으로 도서관 이용, 컴퓨터 이용, 전자책 이용 행태, 도서관 전자책 서비스 이용 행태, 어린이 전자책 선정 등에 대한 설문 조사를 실시하였고 123명으로부터 설문 응답을 받았다. 이를 바탕으로 도서관의 전자책 서비스 개선 방안을 보다 적극적인 도서관 전자책 서비스 홍보와 이용 교육, 이용하기 편리한 전자책 이용 과정, 도서관의 인적 물적 지원을 통한 전자책 서비스의 인지, 전자책 전담 사서와 전문 교육과정의 준비, 도서관 전자책 서비스 자체 평가를 통한 지속적인 서비스 개선으로 제시하였다.
