강합성 데크 트러스 보도교의 자유진동해석 및 상시진동실험에 관한 연구 (Free and Ambient Vibration of Steel-Deck Truss Bridge)

  • 본 연구에서는 미국 뉴욕주 로체스터시 소재 강합성 데크 트러스 보도교를 대상으로 사용성을 평가하기 위한 상시진동 실험(ambient vibration test)을 수행하였고 이를 해석적 방법에 의한 결과와 비교하였다. 교량전체에 대한 상시진동실험은 수치모델 작성 시 도입되는 여러 가정들에 대한 타당성을 평가하는데 있어서 유용한 방법이며, 교량의 고유진동수나 모드형상과 같이 구조 동력학에서 중요한 구조적인 변수를 결정하는데 있어 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 교량의 수직방향 및 수평방향 진동 특성과 변위를 측정하기 위하여 실제 교량에서 보행자에 의해 발생하는 진동을 입력하중으로 사용하였다. 교량 구조물에 대한 모델링을 위하여 3차원 유한 요소법을 사용하여 해석을 수행하였으며, 이를 통하여 현장실험 결과와의 유효성을 입증하였다.

보행자 AEB 시험평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Evaluation Method of AEB Pedestrian Test)

  • Due to the rapid increase in the number of vehicles, the physical and human losses caused by traffic accidents have become serious social problems. In the global trend, there have been active studies conducted on improving safety level of automobile in order to reduce the number of automobile accident. As a result of such research, traffic accidents continue to decline. In the case of South Korea, however, rate of death by automobile accident is 8.5 per 10,000 people and it is a seven rank among the countries in OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development). This average rate is almost double compared to average automobile accident rate per 10,000 vehicles, of other OECD countries in 2015. Consequently, many studies and policies currently have been conducted and made for increasing safety of pedestrians; however, they are only emphasizing characteristics of pedestrians and drivers. For this reason, this study suggests scenarios for establishment of test standard corresponding with domestic environment and international standard of AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) and conducts a real car test by scenarios by setting up a goal with a function for remaining distance after braking and then examine equation by comparing real car tests results and outcome after calculation. This is a theoretical method to predict a relative remaining distance after AEB prior to conducting a real car test for evaluation of safeness of automobile with AEB and it is expected that it solves problem of complication of real car test.

공공공간의 입지유형별 매니지먼트 특성에 관한 연구 - 뉴욕 플라자프로그램으로 조성된 61개 플라자를 대상으로 - (A Study on the Characteristic of Public Space Management based on Surrounding Land Use - Focused on the 61 Pedestrian Plazas generated by the NYC Plaza Program -)

  • Public spaces in the cities are social and economic resources to maintain sustainable urban revitalization. As an importance of public spaces is getting increased, many cities focus on public space management and introduce their own management system. NYC Plaza Program is one of the public space management systems in USA and it was designed in order to transform underused roads and streets into pedestrian public spaces throughout the New York City. Plaza management system works with private organizations' participation as NYC Department of Transportation empowers selected private organizations to the right of management and assists their efforts. In this study, we focused on how the plazas are managed by private sectors and seek to find out characteristics of types of management methods based on landuse(residential, commercial and openspace) status around plazas. We analyzed 61 plazas that generated by NYC Plaza Program with three major conditions of management system including organization, fund and activities. There are three major findings from the analysis. 1)In most residential surrounded plazas, resident-initiative organizations manage small scaled fund and activities meanwhile public agencies support their management. 2)BID is a dominant tool in the commercial surrounded plazas. BID provides with secured fund, mid-sized activities and a broad network with commercial facilities. 3)Openspace-surrounded types are usually using supports of exiting organizations and fund system.

도시개발사업에서의 외부공간계획에 대한 상대적 중요도 분석 (Analyzing the Relative Importance of Exterior Space in Urban Development Projects)

  • As a basic study to analyze the relative importance of external space in urban development projects, this study selects evaluation indicators for external space planning and then analyzes systematic external space planning through expert surveys. The scope of the study is to examine the criteria of evaluation items for external space derived from existing studies and to suggest the importance and priority of evaluation items. As a research method, we reviewed the legal and research literature on landscape planning and external space-related guidelines, and conducted a primary review of external space planning evaluation items analyzed by questionnaire. The reviewed items were again reviewed and selected through expert group discussions (FGI). The selected evaluation items were surveyed by expert groups and analyzed in depth using the hierarchical analysis method (AHP). Looking at the relative importance of the calculated sub-items, among the 17 sub-items, 'planning open space' (.096) is the largest, followed by 'pedestrianization' (.082), 'linking with adjacent buildings, streets, parks, and green areas' (.077), 'securing public space through various planning techniques such as linking with pedestrian paths' (.066), 'Plan the placement, form, and scale of buildings in consideration of the identity of the destination' (.065), 'Plan buildings, streets, parks, and green spaces in an integrated and holistic manner' (.065), 'Harmonize with the surrounding environment (landscape)' (.063), 'Harmonize with surrounding buildings and apply landscape planning in urban planning' (.063), 'Entrances and lower floors of buildings are planned as parks for users and pedestrians' (.060), 'Preserve and expand green areas and establish maintenance plans for urban greening' (.054), 'Form the basis for a comfortable life for urban residents by providing long-term development directions' (.047), 'Activate community activities and plan pedestrian environments and streetscapes considering human scale' (.047), 'Establish and propose basic directions for urban greening' (.046), 'Plan buildings, streets, parks, and green areas considering the hierarchy and characteristics of the landscape structure' (.045), 'Plan for integrated land use' (.045), 'Create green axes in connection without cutting them due to development activities' (.044), and 'Apply barrier free design' (.034).

고령/비고령 보행자와 차량간의 상충위험도 측정연구 (A Study on the Risk of Conflict between Elderly or Non-elderly Pedestrians and Vehicles)

  • 2016년 우리나라 교통사고 사망자 수 4,292명 중, 노인사고 사망자 수는 1,732명에 달한다. 그럼에도, 고령 보행자의 도로횡단 특성에 대한 연구는 많지 않다. 본 연구는 보행자와 차량 간의 횡단특성을 고령 보행자 측면에서 조사 및 분석한 연구이다. 연구에서는 2개 지역, 6개 지점에 대한 횡단 조사를 실시하였으며 주요 결과를 간략히 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 도로 횡단 시 고령자는 626건의 상충상황 중에서 528건(84.3%), 비고령자는 478건의 상충상황 중에서 303건(63.3%)이 위험상황으로 나타나, 고령자가 비고령자에 비하여 3.11배의 높은 통계적으로 유의한 위험상황에 직면하는 경향을 보였다. 둘째, 고령자의 경우 전체 626건의 상충상황 중에서 519건(82.9%)의 무단횡단이 나타났고, 비고령자의 경우 478건의 상충 상황 중에서 375건(78.5%)를 보여, 고령자가 비고령자에 비하여 1.34배의 높은 통계적으로 유의한 무단횡단 경향을 보였다. 셋째, 보행자안전간격(Pedestrian Safety Margin, PSM)을 분석결과 고령자의 PSM은 3.33초, 비고령자의 PSM은 4.04초로 고령자의 PSM은 비고령자보다 약 17.5%가 작은 경향을 보였다. 넷째, 접근하는 차량의 속도를 30km/h 이하 차량, 30-50km/h 차량, 50km/h 이상인 차량으로 나누어 보행자 안전간격의 차이를 검토해 본 결과 속도30km/h 미만 차량과 속도 30km/h 이상 50km/h 미만 차량의 PSM은 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않지만, 속도가 50km/h 이상인 차량과의 상충은 30km/h 미만과 30km/h 이상 50km/h 미만보다 PSM 이 유의미하게 작아진다. 다섯째, 위험상황의 임계치를 PSM 2.5초 이하로 설정한 경우, 고령자가 비고령자 보다 1.59-2.53배 위험하게 횡단하는 경향을 보였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 향후 고령 보행자와 비고령보행자의 횡단 행태 차이를 토대로 고령 보행자안전대책, 자율주행차량의 안전 등의 기반 연구로 활용할 수 있다.

마을 만들기에 있어 주민에 의해 표현되는 풍경 공유성 - 광주광역시 북구 사례를 중심으로 - (Common Characteristics of Landscape Cognition in Participatory Town Design Program - Focusing on the Case of Buk-gu District, Gwangju Metropolitan City -)

  • The purpose of this study was to find common characteristics in everyday landscape cognition that the residents share and to restore the resulting characteristics through citizen-participatory town design. Through the residents participatory workshop supported by the Gwangju Buk-gu District Autonomy and Citizen Academy of Gwangju YMCA, 304 people from eight administrative districts participated in three programs. In each program, photographed landscape images representing everyday conditions of the townscape were presented in several ways: in program 1, the residents' mental map was studied; in program 2, landscape images of real places were matched to locations on a map; and in program 3, the landscapes were scored on a scale from 1 to 5 according to five descriptive categories. The elements that were recognized as common landscape features were public facilities, pedestrian spaces, school areas, and parks and natural green spaces. Additional results including recognition of the participants affection for the village and a common landscape image shared by the people, as inhabitants looked around at the space of their own lives. It seems possible that more creative townscapes can be created by residents through participatory programs.

A Comparison between In-situ PET and ENVI-met PET for Evaluating Outdoor Thermal Comfort

  • Purpose: PMV, PET, and similar thermal comfort indices and microclimate modeling have recently become actively used to evaluate thermal comfort. This study will look at pedestrian roads with diverse spatial characteristics on university campus using the ENVI-met model as the base for onsite measurement. Method: The PET was used as the thermal comfort index. The first microclimate measures were collected on September 20, 2014, and the second microclimate measures were collected on June 1, 2015. The ENVI-met model was used at the same time. Result: As a results, Onsite measurement results differed depending on the PET spatial characteristics. The location associated with the most discomfort had a PET of $47.8^{\circ}C$. The spatial characteristics of this place included a with no shade. The most comfortable location had shade, and the PET was $24.6^{\circ}C$. When the ENVI-met model and onsite measurements were compared, similar patterns were found, but with a few differences at specific points; this was due to the limitation of using input materials such as trees, buildings, and covering materials with the ENVI-met model. This factor must be thoroughly considered when analyzing modeling results.

노인 보행자 운수사고 입원환자의 의료적 특성연구 (Medical Characteristics of the Elderly Pedestrian Inpatient in Traffic Accident)

  • 본 연구는 2012년~2016년의 퇴원손상심층조사 자료를 사용하여 운수사고에 따른 노인 보행자 입원환자의 의료적 특성인 재원기간을 파악하였다. 연구결과, 운수사고에 따른 노인 보행자 입원환자의 의료적 특성으로 입원경로, 중증도, 손상부위, 수술유무, 치료결과, 병원소재지, 병상규모가 재원일수에 영향을 주는 요인으로 나타났다. 외래경유 입원인 경우, 치료결과가 호전보다는 호전 안됨이나 사망인 경우, 100-299병상보다는 500-999병상, 1000병상 이상인 경우 재원일수가 짧았다. 그러나, CCI는 0점보다는 1-2점, 3점 이상인 경우, 손상부위가 머리 또는 목보다는 기타부위인 경우, 수술을 한 경우, 병원소재지가 서울보다는 도 지역, 광역시인 경우 재원일수가 길었다. 본 연구는 인구고령화에 따른 보행 운수사고 예방을 위하여 입원환자의 의료적 특성을 파악함으로써 노인의 특성을 고려한 교통안전 및 의료자원을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 정책수립의 기초자료로 활용되기를 바란다.

차량유형에 따른 교통사고심각도 분석모형 개발 (Developing the Traffic Accident Severity Models by Vehicle Type)

  • This study deals with the accident models of arterial link sections by vehicle type. The objectives are to analyze the characteristics of accidents, and to develop the models by type. In pursuing the above, this study uses the data of 414 accidents occurred on 24 major arterial links in 2007. The main results analyzed are as follows. First, the number of accidents is analyzed to account for about 47% in passenger car, 15% in SUV and 10% in trucks. Second, 3 Poisson regression models which are all statistically significant are developed using passenger car, SUV and truck as dependant variables. Finally, AADT and the number of traffic islands as common variables, and the number of pedestrian crossings, lanes, connecting roads, intersections(4-Leg), rate of medians and the number of bus stops as specific variables of the models are selected.

  • 보도육교의 목적과 의미는 매우 다양해 질 수 있다. 현대교량은 지역을 연결한다는 단순기능외에도 주위환경을 고려한 기능적 미적, 기술적 고려사항들을 담고 있다. 이러한 다각적인 교량의 역할을 가능하게 하는 설계개념을 모색하였다. 그리고 이들 다양한 설계개념을 교량에 반영하는 방식을 고찰하기 위하여 해외 창의적인 교량의 사례들을 살펴보았다.
