Improved Path Planning Algorithm based on Informed RRT* using Gridmap Skeletonization (격자 지도의 골격화를 이용한 Informed RRT* 기반 경로 계획 기법의 개선)

  • $RRT^*$ (Rapidly exploring Random $Tree^*$) based algorithms are widely used for path planning. Informed $RRT^*$ uses $RRT^*$ for generating an initial path and optimizes the path by limiting sampling regions to the area around the initial path. $RRT^*$ algorithms have several limitations such as slow convergence speed, large memory requirements, and difficulties in finding paths when narrow aisles or doors exist. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to deal with these problems. The proposed algorithm applies the image skeletonization to the gridmap image for generating an initial path. Because this initial path is close to the optimal cost path even in the complex environments, the cost can converge to the optimum more quickly in the proposed algorithm than in the conventional Informed $RRT^*$. Also, we can reduce the number of nodes and memory requirement. The performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparison with the conventional Informed $RRT^*$ and Informed $RRT^*$ using initial path generated by $A^*$.

Collision-Free Path Planning for a Redundant Manipulator Based on PRM and Potential Field Methods (PRM과 포텐셜 필드 기법에 기반한 다자유도 머니퓰레이터의 충돌회피 경로계획)

  • The collision-free path of a manipulator should be regenerated in the real time to achieve collision safety when obstacles or humans come into the workspace of the manipulator. A probabilistic roadmap (PRM) method, one of the popular path planning schemes for a manipulator, can find a collision-free path by connecting the start and goal poses through the roadmap constructed by drawing random nodes in the free configuration space. The path planning method based on the configuration space shows robust performance for static environments which can be converted into the off-line processing. However, since this method spends considerable time on converting dynamic obstacles into the configuration space, it is not appropriate for real-time generation of a collision-free path. On the other hand, the method based on the workspace can provide fast response even for dynamic environments because it does not need the conversion into the configuration space. In this paper, we propose an efficient real-time path planning by combining the PRM and the potential field methods to cope with static and dynamic environments. The PRM can generate a collision-free path and the potential field method can determine the configuration of the manipulator. A series of experiments show that the proposed path planning method can provide robust performance for various obstacles.

  • To discover a certificate path is a very important topic in the PKI with a lot of candidate paths. The certificate path discovery processing is executed via many verifications and as the number of verification times increases, the validity of the discovered path becomes high. The selection of the path with high validity provides high-speed certificate validation by reducing the number of repetition times of path discovery and validation processing. Otherwise, there is a problem that the speed and computation overheads are increased. In this paper, we propose an efficient certificate path discovery algorithm can make high the certificate validity with low overhead.

Spatial target path following and coordinated control of multiple UUVs

  • The coordination control of multiple Underactuated Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) moving in three dimensional space is investigated in this paper. The coordinated path following control task is decomposed into two sub tasks, that is, path following control and coordination control. In the spatial curve path following control task, path following error dynamics is build in the Serret-Frenet coordinate frame. The virtual reference object can be chosen freely on the desired spatial path. Considering the speed of the UUV, the line-of-sight navigation is introduced to help the path following errors quickly converge to zero. In the coordination control sub task, the communication topology of multiple UUVs is described by the graph theory. The speed of each UUV is adjusted to achieve the coordination. The path following system and the coordination control system are viewed as the feedback connection system. Input-to-state stable of the coordinated path following system can be proved by small gain theorem. The simulation experiments can further demonstrate the good performance of the control method.

Problem Solving Path Algorithm in Distance Education Environment

  • As the demand for distance education increases, it is necessary to present a problem solving path through a learning tracking algorithm in order to support the efficient learning of learners. In this paper, we proposed a problem solving path of various difficulty levels in various subjects by supplementing the existing learning tracking algorithm. Through the data set obtained through the path for solving the learner's problem, the path through the prim's minimum Spanning tree was secured, and the optimal problem solving path through the recursive neural network was suggested through the path data set. As a result of the performance evaluation of the contents proposed in this paper, it was confirmed that more than 52% of the test subjects included the problem solving path suggested in the problem solving process, and the problem solving time was also improved by more than 45%.

  • Urban development has brought about the increasing saturation of urban traffic demand, and traffic congestion has become the primary problem in transportation. Roads are in a state of waiting in line or even congestion, which seriously affects people's enthusiasm and efficiency of travel. This paper mainly studies the discrete domain path planning method based on the flow data. Taking the traffic flow data based on the highway network structure as the research object, this paper uses the deep learning theory technology to complete the path weight determination process, optimizes the path planning algorithm, realizes the vehicle path planning application for the expressway, and carries on the deployment operation in the highway company. The path topology is constructed to transform the actual road information into abstract space that the machine can understand. An appropriate data structure is used for storage, and a path topology based on the modeling background of expressway is constructed to realize the mutual mapping between the two. Experiments show that the proposed method can further reduce the interpolation error, and the interpolation error in the case of random missing is smaller than that in the other two missing modes. In order to improve the real-time performance of vehicle path planning, the association features are selected, the path weights are calculated comprehensively, and the traditional path planning algorithm structure is optimized. It is of great significance for the sustainable development of cities.

  • 게임에서는 장애물이 가로 막고 있을 때 길 찾기 알고리즘이 요구된다. Path Finding Method 는 길과 장애물을 고려하여 목적지까지의 경로를 찾는 방법을 말한다. A* 알고리즘은 이런 복잡한 미로 찾기에 최적화된 Path Finding 알고리즘이다. 하지만, 모바일 같은 저비용 기기에서 A* 알고리즘을 사용하기엔 단순한 지형에서도 연산 부하가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상의 공간에서 Grid를 구축하여, 통행이 가능한 곳과 불가능한 곳을 나누어 최종 지점에 도달할 수 있도록 하는 방식을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 Path Finding Method 는 최종 지점이 막다른 길인 경우 가장 가까운 이동 가능한 경로로 길을 안내하도록 설계하여 예외 상황에 대처했다. 대표적인 길 찾기 알고리즘인 Dijkstra 알고리즘은 최소 비용을 고려해서 최단으로 가는 거리를 비교하여 길을 나타낼 수 있다. 하지만, Dijkstra 알고리즘 경우 비용이 양수가 아닌 음수의 경우 무한 루프에 빠지는 등 결과 값이 제대로 나오지 않을 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 Path Finding Method 는 최소 비용을 노드별로 비교하는 방식이 아닌 초기 비용을 알 수 없는 분야에 쉽게 사용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 Path Finding Method 를 적용하여 Web 게임을 제작하는 것에 성공하였다. 향후, Path Finding Method 결과에 위치 정렬 알고리즘을 적용하여, 중복된 지역을 가는 확률을 최소화하면서 정리된 Path 가 돌출되도록 연구할 예정이다. 본 논문의 Path Finding Method 은 게임 개발 분야에 적극 기여되길 바란다.

Performance Comparison of Path Reestablishment Schemes for a Backward Handover in Wireless ATM Networks (무선 ATM 망의 역방향 핸드오버에서 경로 재설정 방식에 따른 성능 비교)

  • Wireless ATM(WATM) intends to provide a broad range of mobile multimedia services through wireless access by mobility extensions from the fixed ATM-based network. Recently, there have been active researches about new handover techniques to support terminal mobility in WATM. In this paper we classify path reestablishment schemes into full reestablishment, path rerouting with a static COS, path rerouting with a dynamic COS, and path extension. For a backward lossy handover procedure, we analyze and compare the performances of path reestablishment schemes in terms of delay, service disruption time and cell loss.

  • For the Z-level machining, a tool-path linking procedure is presented. The linking problem is approached from the technological requirements, such as considering the machining constraints among the tool-path-elements, minimizing the tool-path length and reflecting the oneway/zigzag linking option. To simplify the linking problem, we develop a data structure, called a TPE-net, providing information on the machining constraints among the tool-path-elements. By making use of the TPE-net, the tool-path linking problem becomes a touring problem so that every node has been traversed.

  • Let N be a normal subgroup of a path-connected topological group (G, $t$). In this paper, the authors consider the existence of path-connectedness in refined topologies in order to address the property of maximal path-connectedness in topological groups. In particular, refinements on $t$ and refinements on the quotient topology on G/N are studied. The preservation of path-connectedness in extending topologies and translation topologies is also considered.
