This study was performed to investigate the concentrations of PM($PM_{10}$, $PM_{2.5}$, $PM_{1}$) and it's affecting factors in the subway from line 1 to line 8 in Seoul metropolitan area, from Sep. 1 to 30, 2005. PM concentrations were measured at the entrances and centers in subway passenger cabins by a light scattering equipment. And the affecting factors to PM were estimated based on the number of passenger, door open and close and running area etc. The geometric means of $PM_{10}$, $PM_{2.5}$ and $PM_{1}$ concentration in Seoul subway passenger cabins were $214{\mu}g/m^3$, $86.6{\mu}g/m^3$ and $27.0{\mu}g/m^3$, respectively. These mean concentrations in subway carriage were higher when it ran on an underground track than on a ground track. And running time(7AM-9AM, 11AM-13PM, 6PM-8PM) significantly influenced to the concentrations of $PM_{10}$, $PM_{2.5}$ and $PM_{1}$. Daily profile of $PM_{10}$ and $PM_{2.5}$, $PM_{1}$ expressed as an 10 minutes average, showed similar variation pattern over day period. In correlation analysis, significant relations among $PM_{10}$, $PM_{2.5}$ and $PM_{1}$ were detected(p〈0.01). In particular, correlation coefficient between $PM_{10}$and $PM_{1}$ was highly significant(r=0.94). Further study is needed to identity the sources of PM in subway cabins and to compare pollutants concentration among subway lines.
The interior space in a passenger car is consisted with many partial elements, and the instrument panel is the most important part from all of them, which is designate the total image of the interior design and the space variation, drivability and safety of the interior space. ] The instrument panel of a passenger car in the early age had the concept of a wall between the engine room and the passenger cabin on which the instrument for the driver were fitted. Therefore the central mounting of the instruments was the typical feature regardless of the position of a driver seat. As the automobiles became more functional with many equipments, driver oriented instrument panel with energy absorbing materials had been developed, and that was the beginning of the various instrument panel design of these days. The recent instrument panels of passenger car have the tendency of going back to the central instrument mounting as it was at the past on a few cars for the strict safety regulation, a new production technology and for the enhanced drivability. It can be summarized into a few results as these with the analysis of a few recent instrument panels. -minimizing the total volume for the better frontal visibility. -energy absorbing and passive structures for the strict impact regulations. -revival of central instrument mounting for the convenience and safety through minimizing the difference of the focal length of a driver.

This study had the aim of characteristics of $PM_{10}$ in subway cabins. $PM_{10}$ was measured by times of day (rush and non rush hours) and seasons with real time $PM_{10}$ sampler on the subway cabins of line 7. Filter samples were collected for evaluation of their elemental composition as well as identification of major sources of $PM_{10}$ using a receptor model, PMF. $PM_{10}$ concentration were the highest in the winter season both in the rush and non rush hours at 152.8 ${\mu}g/m^3$, 90.2 ${\mu}g/m^3$ respectively. The $PM_{10}$ concentrations in rush hour were 30% higher compared to non rush hours. Based on the chemical information, the composition rare of inorganic elements was 52.5%, anions were 10.2% and others were 37.3%. Fe was the most abundant element and significantly correlated (p.0.01) with Mn (r=0.97), Ti (r=0.91), Cr (r=0.88), Ni (r=0.89) and Cu (r=0.88). Characterized $PM_{10}$ sources by PMF in the cabin were soil and road dust related sources (27.2%), railroad related sources (47.5%), secondary nitrate sources (16.2%) and a Cl-factor mixed with a secondary sulfate source (9.1%).
The traditional image of hydraulic excavator started to change in two ways since 1990. First, post-heavy equipment's visual image was new waves to traditional image of heavy, strong, and wild. They are the negative aspect that excavators have. Another movement of getting rid of its negative image can be found in late-heavy equipment, which was intended to adapt traditional and positive, but off negative images. In 1990s, the design trend is moving from warm/hard to warm/soft, and KOBELCO can be exceptional example that went even further, gone up to cool-soft image. KOBELCO specially aimed 'post- excavator image' strategy, which has been successful. Image of cabin as a human space changed little bit further than outside image. Each company tried to differentiate the design of cabin focusing on its safety. Following paragraphs show specific trend of image change in form, colour, texture, and the composition. Major visual image change in form tries to follow the image of cars and home appliances which are showing the movement from tough and hard image to soft one. Structural change on local image shows the movement from angular edge to edgeless and the movement of cabin's pillar C placed to back of the equipment with gentle inclination. All of these movements are the result of effort to improve traditional excavator's negative image, that top structure is assembled separately, to positive ones. Today's tendency about its color becomes important to apply two different colour styles. Each style has brightness and tone comparison. As an enormous power convey system, it was in common that its brightness comparison was useful because of the alarm of its damage possibility. However, as its colour control and its design have been emphasized gradually, the tone comparison takes a part in an important role, too. As an example, there is an occasion that these comparisons are compromised simultaneously. In the respect of its image creation, its texture treatments make the tendency of being the same as passenger cars. It is caused from its development of the manufacture techniques of from the fabrication method in small business to the press method in big firm. Further, it is also because of its improvement of painting & coating skills. It may prohibit the reflection effect from solar rays. In the point of view of its visual images, it is recognized the prominent tendency that its composition has been gradually decreased. Lots of windows and the frames tends dark-colour as a whole. It is more preferred to have one colour image, but except KOBELCO and HITACHI. As well, there is another high-tendency to improve its standard treatments, especially for its corner and texture treatments.

In this paper, we propose a system that tracks the position of the passengers and sailors using a Bluetooth-based Beacon in the ship. The position of the tracking passengers, sometimes fatal emergencies of the rescue team, such as the sinking of the ship is utilized in order to efficiently and quickly rescue the passengers, and the collected data can be utilized additionally by grasping the flow of human traffic patterns. The system proposed in this paper, install MAC data acquisition called AP (Access Point) for each cabin, and in the installed AP retrieves Tag of the information provided to the passenger and collected. A Tag has only its own MAC Address to the privacy, no user information is not collected. All data communication by sending and receiving MAC Address was only to ensure anonymity.

The noise levels on board ship recognized at Europe in the early 1970s and the noise regulations on the ship began to put in a statutory form. After that, in 1982 'International Code on Noise Levels on Board Ships' adopted by IMO and it became a standards to the newly built ship and it remains up to recently. Especially, the ship engine room, which have huge main engine and various kinds of subsidiary machines, is under an extremely loud condition and so the worker who works in it is easy to lose his hearing. Recently, each nation regulates the allowable noise exposure time by law to protect the industrial employee from the occupational hardness of hearing. In our country, the allowable noise exposure time is regulated by the labor. standard law but the international provisions regulated by IMO have been applied in case of the ship engine room. In this paper, the cabin's noise levels of cargo-passenger ships plies south-west coast line were investigated.
Purpose: Year of 2020, COVID-19 has been changing the people's everyday life to ways never been thought of before all over the world. The IT and electronic industry, the methods of supplying goods and services have been changed from contact to un-tact environments based on un-tact systems very rapidly. COVID-19 has been striking the tourism and the travel industry, especially the airline and hotel industry of which services are provided by human. For the passenger service of airliner, automation has been propelled and un-tact style of service has become mainstreams except cabin service since 2000's. For passenger transportation, due to traffic regulations and exclusions etc., switching to new ways is not easy. However, under the new environment made by COVID-19, kiosk check-in, web check-in and mobile check-in has become more important. In this study, the characteristics of airline customers using mobile goods are investigated to find ways to raise the rate of utilizing mobile check-in and to increase the efficiency of boarding process. Research design, data, and methodology: Considering the COVID-19 environment, survey was done by online research company. The research model is designed to integrate the user characteristics and usage/purchase motive and technology acceptance theory. Especially considering infectious diseases prevention, concern of safety is adopted as one of the usage motive variable. Results: Extraversion or conscientiousness characteristics prefers counter check-in(contact service), while openness characteristics prefers mobile check-in(un-tact service). Concern of safety for infectious disease shows strong non-preference on counter check-in. Conclusions: Regarding service type regardless of type of the industry, automation and un-tact have been mainstreams due to high costs of labor, efficiency and standardization issue, etc., and COVID-19 has given impetus to them. For airliner, un-tact service including boarding process service has been more and more important. To raise the rate of un-tact service use, the characteristics of the user should be analyzed first. The study results indicate that for extraversion or conscientiousness, some kinds of methods to induce them to use un-tact service more are needed.
The new high speed combi train prototype project was developed which named HSB. It runs over the speed of 330km/h. As the speed of the train exceeds over 300km/h, due to pressure change in tunnel, aerodynamic problems such as sudden drag increase, severe acoustic noise, passenger discomfort and tunnel pressure sonic boom were occurred. This aerodynamic characteristics in tunnel should be reviewed in early design state to enhance the performance and driving quality of new high speed train. In this paper, the aerodynamic characteristics in tunnel for HSB such as pressure waves in tunnel, a rate of pressure change in cabin and micro pressure wave that cause sonic boom outside tunnel are analyzed by 2D axisymmetric CFD simulations. The results are also compared with the value for ordinary high speed train like the KTX-Sancheon. It is helpful how to design the configuration of HSB train. Finally it shows that the HSB train was well designed in tunnel condition because all values fulfill the criterions on UIC code and Korean national regulations.

A general procedure for the design sensitivity analysis of structural dynamic problems has been presented in frame of the FRF-based substructuring formulation. For a system response function, the proposed method gives a parametric design sensitivity formula in terms of the partial derivatives of the connection element properties and the transfer matrix of the subsystems. The derived design sensitivity formula is applied to an engine mount system. An interior noise problem in the passenger car is analyzed using the FRF-based substructuring method and the proposed formulation is adopted to study the response variations with respect to the dynamic characteristics of the engine mounts and the bushes. To obtain the FRFs, a finite element model is built for the engine mount structures, and test data is used for the trimmed body including cabin cavity. The comparison of sensitivities derived by the proposed method and the finite difference method shows that the proposed method is efficient and accurate. The proposed sensitivity analysis method indicates effectively the most sensitive location to the interior noise among the engine mounts and the bushes.

The interior sound pressure level of the Korean high-speed train(KHST) is predicted by geometrical acoustic method. For the Purpose of assuring the prediction of Interior noise of KHST by the geometrical acoustic scheme, calculated sound level values of the Korean train express(KTX) by Identical geometrical method are compared with measured values of KTX prototype vehicle by experiment. Contribution of individual sound source of KHST vehicle Into the interior response positions is calculated and sound sources are classified in influential order. Hence, it is reasonable approach to reduce sound power of most contributing noise source first. Sensitivity of the interior response position's sound pressure level (SPL) with respect to train wall sections' transmission loss are carried on and acoustically sensitive spot is identified, for example window area for passenger cabin case. Those contribution and sensitivity analysis results are suggested to design quieter train efficiently.
