Purpose: This study examined what characteristics and variables predict participation in support groups for women with breast cancer. Method: 282 women with breast cancer from 4 hospitals located in Busan were included in the study. Data was measured on each participant from September 2006 to February 2007. Data was collected using structured researcher-administered sheets and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, chi-square test and logistic regression analysis. Results: The clients reported medium levels of illness perception, anxiety and depression, stress with coping, social support and self-efficacy. 48.9% of women with breast cancer participated in support groups. Significant influencing factors on the participation in support groups were 'operation time(+)', 'illness perception(+)', 'social support(-)', and 'self-efficacy(+)' Those variables explained 73.4%. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop a strategy or promoting program for promotion of illness perception and self-efficacy of women with breast cancer. Thus, it is essential to provide participation to a support group to a women with breast cancer.

This study seeks to determine the research trend of late adolescents by utilizing big data. Also, seek for research trends related to activity participation, treatment, and mediation to provide academic implications. For this process, gathered 1.000 academic papers and used TF-IDF analysis method, and the topic modeling based on co-occurrence word network analysis method LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation) to analyze. In conclusion this study conducted analysis of activity participation, treatment, and mediation of late adolescents by TF-IDF analysis method, co-occurrence word network analysis method, and topic modeling analysis based on LDA(Latent Dirichlet Allocation). The results were proposed through visualization, and carries significance as this study analyzed activity, treatment, mediation factors of late adolescents, and provides new analysis methods to figure out the basic materials of activity participation trends, treatment, and mediation of late adolescents.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of participation in jazz dance to body image and mental health in an attempt to make a contribution to the spread of jazz dance. The subjects in this study were 183 people who were selected by purposive sampling from a population of Seoul and Gyeonggi province residents who were at the Western age of 18 and up. The selected people took general education courses at colleges, attended cultural centers or fitness clubs, or learned dance for all. One instrument used in this study to assess their body image was Jourard and Secord(1954)'s Body Cathexis Scale, which was modified into six factors and 39 items. The other was Kim Gwang-il, et. al.(1978)'s 46-item inventory, which translated Rickles and Rock(l976)'s SCL-90 with 90 items to suit Korean circumstances. That inventory was modified into 31 items and four factors. For data handling, factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis and path analysis were utilized. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. The extent of jazz dance participation had an impact on their body image. Those who performed jazz dance more frequency had a better image about their health and the lower part of the body. 2. The level of jazz dance participation exerted an influence on their mental health. A longer participation term led to more interpersonal sensitivity, and a higher participation frequency was followed by more somatization. 3. Concerning the causal relationship of participation in jazz dance to body image and mental health, the participation frequency affected health, the image of the lower part of the body and somatization in the firsthand manner, and the image of the lower part of the body had a firsthand impact on interpersonal sensitivity, hostility, anxiety and depression. Accordingly, the image of the lower part of the body played a crucial role as a parameter in the relationship between the jazz dance participation frequency and mental health.

The purpose of this study is to investigated and differences per lifestyle type according to characteristics of participation in eco-tourism by classifying lifestyle types of university student consumers. Also, the influences exerted on characteristics of participation in eco-tourism by the variables of demographical characteristics, lifestyle types and characteristics of eco-tourism were analyzed. The results indicated by the research can be summarized as follows. First, significant differences were found in terms of sociability inclination factors and leisure inclination factors. In other words, the group of people who had participated in eco-tourism were more of sociability-inclined and leisure-inclined lifestyle types than the group of people who had not participated in eco-tourism. Second, logistic analysis on the types of influences exerted on participation in eco-tourism by demographical characteristics, characteristics of eco-tourism and lifestyle types, it was found that significant influences were exerted by such variables of propensity of learning in eco-tourism, leisure inclination factors and school year. Third, regression analysis on the types of influences exerted on intention to participate in eco-tourism by demographical characteristics, characteristics of eco-tourism and lifestyle types, propensity of awareness on eco-tourism, tendency of preferring eco-tourism, sociability inclination factors and progress inclination factors were selected as significant variables.
The purpose of this study is to examine the degree of community integration of visually impaired people who have the limitation of mobility in comparison with another disabled and to find factors affecting community integration. The data were obtained through telephone interview with visually impaired people. The final sample was consisted of 1,004 respondents. The data were analyzed using statistical techniques such as crosstabulation, t-test, and hierarchical regression. In this study, the factors affecting community integration was divided into four dimensions : the attribution to disability, physical functioning, psychology and social support system. The major findings of this study were as follows: First, the factors affecting community integration of visually impaired people were age, education, economic status, social support, information support and participation of rehabilitation service. Second, the factors affecting community integration of the low vision and the blind are the limitation of daily activities and social support. But the factors affecting community integration of the blind are participation of education for braille and that of the low vision are information support and participation of rehabilitation service. Finally, the person losing eyesight since school age were the more limitation of daily activities than the person losing eyesight in babyhood. The factors affect community integration of the former are social support, information support, participation of education for braille, and rehabilitation service. The current findings suggest that intervention and policy aimed at improving social support system and formal services such as education, rehabilitation services should be considered by rehabilitation professionals and policy makers.
The almost studies that is related to an e-Trade and an e-Marketplace only have been focused on the diffusion and acceptance since the innovation was adopted in markets. The existing studies failed to notice the resistance of innovation in the course of accepting innovation. The resistance of innovation, however, is not the contrary concept of acceptance, it is should be understood as a construct which can explain the course of the diffusion and acceptance. This study will be analysed as follows: First, nevertheless the resistance of users is important, it couldn't be presented systematically through acceptance of innovation, accordingly the concept of resistance of innovation will derive concept from review of literature researched on prior researches. Second, the factors which can be affected to the resistance of innovation of the main trade firms which use the e-Marketplace will draw. Third, we identify some of determinants that can affect to resistance of user by empirical study, also we investigate how participation can be affected by using a contingency variable. The independent variables used through researched review are the characteristic factors of trade e-Marketplace which was consisted of relative advantage, suitability and complexity, the characteristic factors of trade firms which was consisted of propensity of innovation and attitude, and the characteristic of service quality which was consisted of reliability and reaction. This research also examines the association between independent variables and the resistance of user(dependent variable) by using a variable on participation of user(moderator variable). The sample surveys for this study have been used 109, this study was analysed by the SPSS 12.0 of statistical tool. According to the proved hypothesis there are three important factors which affected the resistance of user. One factor was the relative advantage and complexity from the point of view on the trade firms characteristics of e-marketplace, another factor was the propensity of innovation from the point of view on the trade firms factors, the third factor was the reliance from the point of view on the service quality factors. The results also provided that relative advantage and suitability among the characteristics of e-Marketplace and the reliability among the service quality characteristics have moderated in the moderated regression which was tested the association independent variables and dependent variables while participation of user was using for contingency variable.

The purpose of this paper is to study the relationship between the sense of place attachment and citizen participation in urban park management. This case study focuses on the 'Shim-Teo' Children's Park in DongDaeMun-Gu in Seoul. This study used questionnaires. The data was collected from June 24 to 26, 2002 from a random sampling of visitors to the park who were over twenty years old. Final analysis utilized a total of 83 samples from the 91 respondents. This suey included Questions on Place attachment and the sense of the citizen participation. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. For citizen participation in urban park management, it showed that the more respondents had a sense of the place attachment, the more they had a sense of responsibility for citizen participation in urban park management. The significant difference of the sense of the citizen participation between the two groups was their sense of place attachment. 2. For respondents reasons not to participate in park management, there was a tendency that the less respondents had a sense of place attachment, the more they answered that 'they have no idea how to participate in park management' and 'they have no time to participate in park management'. And the significant difference in the sense of citizen participation between the two groups was the place attachment. 3. It was shown that the respondents sense of citizen participation in urban park management was directly related to their sense of place attachment to the park. It was also shown that the reasons which dissuaded them from participating in urban park managements were other factors.
Objectives: Civic participation, that which directly influences important decisions in our personal lives, is considered necessary for developing a society. We hypothesized that civic participation might be related to self-rated health status. Methods: We constructed a multi-level analysis using data from the World Value Survey (44 countries, n=50 859). Results: People who participated in voting and voluntary social activities tended to report better subjective health than those who did not vote or participate in social activities, after controlling for socio-demographic factors at the individual level. A negative association with unconventional political activity and subjective health was found, but this effect disappeared in a subset analysis of only the 18 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries. Moreover, social participation and unconventional political participation had a statistically significant contextual association with subjective health status, but this relationship was not consistent throughout the analysis. In the analysis of the 44 countries, social participation was of borderline significance, while in the subset analysis of the OECD countries unconventional political participation was a stronger contextual determinant of subjective health. The democratic index was a significant factor in determining self-rated health in both analyses, while public health expenditure was a significant factor in analysis of 18 countries. Conclusions: Our investigation suggests that civic participation, including unconventional political activity at the contextual level, might be a significant determinant of health status of a country.
This study examines how preference clarity and customer participation levels affect evaluation of fit toward customized services and also analyzes the effects of cultural difference between Korea and China that may cause variance in the evaluation of fit in the course of interaction with the prior two factors, preference clarity and customer participation level. It conducted a $2{\times}2{\times}2$ between-subjects factorial design adopting preference clarity, customer participation level, and difference of culture. The subjects were composed of 200 Korean and 200 Chinese. According to the analysis results, it is revealed that Korean consumers highly perceived fit toward customized services when their preference is clear and participation level is high, and they evaluate fit more favorably as participation level increased, while Chinese consumers' evaluation for fit deteriorated as participation level increased. The result shows that fit evaluation became more positive through participation when preference clarity is high in Koreans but not in Chinese.
Purpose By participating in the business ecosystems, customers make both positive and negative impacts in the ecosystem. In particular, users of platform businesses participate in the business ecosystem as partial employees who voluntarily create and manage content. According to the organizational behavior literature, employees' psychological ownership toward the organization has an influence on the organizational competitiveness. Thus, with an assumption that customers gain psychological ownership toward the business that they participate in, it is important to analyze the process and the factors that influence their psychological ownership. This study proposes a research model that describes the process: customers undertake customer socialization, which then lead them to participate in the business-level and the business ecosystem-level activities. Through the participation, customers gain psychological ownership toward the business. Design/methodology/approach Based on a structural equation model, this study analyzes the data regarding the factors in the research model. Data was collected by surveying college students who represent themselves as Facebook and DaumKakao users. By analyzing the collected data, the relationships are validated between customer socialization and customer participations (i.e., both business-level and business ecosystem-level participation), and between the participations and customers' psychological ownership. Findings Based on the validation, this study confirms the importance of managing customers' psychological ownership and offers customers' participation by their socialization as a solution for increasing customers' psychological ownership. Also, this study proposes the business ecosystem research model as the general research framework for future research and expands the scope of strategic management from the individual level strategy to the business ecosystem wide perspective.
