In most application programs, loops usually comprise most of the computation in a program and the most important source of parallelism. When the data dependency relation is uniformin terms of distance, several compile time parallelization methods were introduced. On the otherhand,when the data dependency relation is non-uniform in distance, the compile time extraction ofparallelism is much complicated. In this paper, a general method the extracting parallelism in nestedloops is presented. This algorithm can be applicable where the dependency relation is both uniform andnon-uniform in distance. According to execution repeatedly the statements in nested loops, thealgorithm which effectively removes these kind of data dependencies is developed in order to presentthe total parallelization of nested loops.

The Discrete Event Systems Specification(DEVS) formalism specifies a discrete event system in a hierarchical, modular form. This paper presents a distributed simulation environment D-DEVSim++ for models specified by the DEVS formalism. D-DEVSim++ employs a new simulation scheme which is a hybrid algorithm of the hierarchical simulation and Time Warp mechanisms. The scheme can utilize both the hierarchical scheduling parallelism and the inherent parallelism of DEVS models. This hierarchical scheduling parallelism is investigated through analysis. Performance of the proposed methodology is evaluated through benchmark simulation on a 5-dimensional hypercube parallel machine. The performance results indicate that the methodology can achieve significant speedup. Also, it is shown that the analyzed speedup for the hierarchical scheduling time corresponds the experiment.

In this paper, a novel time-domain measurement technique on a high parallelism probe card with protection resistors installed is proposed. The measured signal amplitude decreases when the measurement is performed by Needle Auto Calibration (NAC) probing on a high parallelism probe card with installed resistors. Therefore, the original signals must be carefully reconstructed, and the compensation coefficient, which is related to the number of channel branches and the value of protection resistors, must be introduced. The accuracy of the reconstructed signals is analyzed based on the varying number of channel branches and various protection resistances. The results demonstrate that the proposed technique is appropriate for evaluating the overall signal performance of probe cards with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), which enhances the efficiency of probe card performance test dramatically.

단순선형 회귀모형의 기울기에 대한 평행성 검정법을 제안하였다. 세 군 이상에서 기울기에 대하여 Tukey (1953)가 제안한 HSD방법을 이용한 모수적 검정법과 Kruskal-Wallis (1952) 검정법을 이용한 비모수적 검정법을 각각 제안하였다. 또한 모의실험을 통하여 기존의 검정법과 제안한 검정법의 검정력을 비교하였다.

In this paper, we propose improved loop splitting method for maximizing parallelism of single loops with non-constant dependence distances. By using the iteration and distance for the source of the first dependence, and by our defined theorems, we present generalized and optimal algorithms for single loops with non-uniform dependences (MPSL). By the extension of the MPSL method, we also apply to exploit parallelism from nested loops with simple subscripts, based on cycle shrinking and loop interchanging method. The algorithms generalize how to transform general single loops with non-uniform dependences as well as nested loops with simple subscripts into parallel loops.

Recently the machining technique have been progressed rapidly according to developments of the product technique in the machine tool and new tools. But in the case of vertical machine center(VMC), to become visible there is the appearance of bending because of the structural problems of x-axis guide way, and this would effect directly on accuracy of form of the straightness, parallelism and flatness. In this paper, I purpose to check the appearance of bending with the experiment and improve the working accuracy. Under the constant working conditions, the appearance of bending of x-axis guide way was measured to confirm the effectiveness of the compensation method in the vertical machine center(VMC). By using this method the results show that the accuracy of form of the straightness, parallelism and flatness could be reduced to 20% compared with ordinary method.

대용량 데이터의 공유 및 신속한 전송을 요구하는 과학응용 분야에서는 전송 성능을 높이기 위해 Globus/GridFTP와 같은 전송 어플리케이션에서의 병행성, 병렬성, 파이프라이닝 기법 등을 통한 성능 향상을 추구해 오고 있다. 본 논문에서는 비슷한 맥락에서 전송 프로토콜 계층에서 다중 경로 지원할 수 있는 Mptcp를 도입할 경우 기대할 수 있는 인터페이스 수의 증가 및 전송 스트림들의 병렬성 확장에 따른 전송성능 향상을 에뮬레이션 환경에서 실험하고 결과를 제시한다.

통계청의 2013년 지역사회 건강 조사 자료에 의하면 제주도는 전국 16개 시 도 중에서 비만율(1위), 고위험 음주율(2위), 남성 흡연율(2위)이 상대적으로 높은 지역으로 대장암, 간암, 폐암, 유방암 등의 발생률이 높을 것으로 추정된다. 연구목적은 이들 암의 발생률과 사망률의 추세를 분석하고 전국 평균과 비교 유사성이 있는지 알아보는 것이다. 분석을 위하여 제주지역암등록소에서 2014년 11월까지 조사한 1999년부터 2012까지 자료를 이용했으며, 분석은 Joinpoint 회귀 순열 검사방법을 이용 평균 연간 % 변화율(AAPC)과 전국 평균과의 유사성 검사(parallelism test)를 했다. 남성 대장암은 연령표준화 발생률의 AAPC가 8.4%/년(p-value<.000) 이었으며, 남성 전국 평균과의 유사성은 제주 환자의 가파른 AAPC 상승 때문에 거부되었다(p-value=.047). 남성 간암의 ASR에 대한 AAPC는 -2.98%/년(p-value<.000) 이었으나 전국 평균보다 완만한 감소 때문에 유사성이 거부되었다(p-value=.026). 남성 폐암의 AAPC는 전국 평균과 비교에서 제주도 환자의 2006년부터 2012년 기간에 APC(4.37%/년)가 오히려 증가하여 거부되었다(p-value=.009). 결론으로, 제주도는 남성 대장암, 남성 간암, 남성 폐암의 평균 연간 % 변화율과 변화 추세가 전국 평균과 다르다는 것을 확인하였으므로 원인에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.

This paper presents performance analysis of the embedded application, called EEMBC consisting of 5 categories and total 34 applications. We measured various performance metrics, such as code sizes, TLP(Thread Level Parallelism) using OpenMP API and ILP(Instruction Level Parallelism) on ARM-modeled SimpleScalar in detail. We show that the embedded applications have the similar characteristics as integer applications to deliver low ILP and TLP in our environment. They have many small loops, which result in large instruction overhead in TLP and loop control overhead in ILP.

A nonparametric test for testing the parallelism of regression lines against ordered alternatives is proposed. The proposed test statistic is based on a linear combination of robust slope estimators. It is a modified version of the Adichie's test statistics based on scores. A snail-sample Monte Carlo study shows that the proposed test is compatible with the Adichie's test.
