SBR 가황물에서 용매추출 및 분리에 의한 PCA 오일 Type 확인법 (A New Method to Identify PCA Oil Type through Solvent Extraction and Separation Skills in a SBR Vulcanizate)

  • 공정오일 내 다핵성 방향족 화합물(PCA)은 무게함량 대비 3%이상 함유한 경우 피부암을 일으키는 것으로 알려졌다. 저함량과 고함량 PCA 오일의 구분 기준은 PCA 함량 3%에 근거한다. 기준 함량 이상이면 발암성 물질인 고함량 PCA 오일로 DAE가 있으며, 기준 함량 이하이면 인체에 안전한 저함량 PCA 오일로 TDAE, MES, 파라핀 오일이 이에 속한다. 상기 4종류의 공정오일을 적용한 SBR 가황물에 용매 추출 및 분리로 오일을 정제한 후, FT-IR분광 기술을 이용하여 PCA 오일 종류을 결정하였다. 그리고 파라핀 오일이 적용된 SBR 가황물에서 고무 약품인 HPPD, TMDQ, 왁스, 공정조제(Structol-40MS)의 오일에 대한 영향을 연구하였다. 분리 정제된 오일로부터 저함량과 고함량 PCA 오일 구분은 방향족 치환체 흡수영역인 파수 864, 810, 754 및 파라핀 또는 나프텐 흡수영역인 파수 721의 상대적인 흡수세기로 확인할 수 있었다.

오일 함침된 나노 기공 산화알루미늄 필름의 마찰 거동 (Friction Behavior of Oil-enriched Nanoporous Anodic Aluminum Oxide Film)

  • Friction behavior of nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide(AAO) film was investigated. A 60 ${\mu}m$ thick AAO film having nanopores of 45 nm diameter with 105 nm interpore-diatance was fabricated by mild anodization process. The AAO film was then saturated with paraffinic oil. Reciprocating ball-on-flat sliding friction tests using 1 mm diameter steel ball as the counterpart were carried out with normal load ranging from 0.1 N to 1 N in an ambient environment. The morphology of worn surfaces were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. The friction coefficient significantly increased with the increase of load. The boundary lubrication layer of paraffinic oil contributed to the lower friction at relatively low load (0.1 N), but it is less effective at high load (1 N). Plastic deformed layer patches were formed on the worn surface of oil-enriched AAO at relatively low load (0.1 N) without evidence of tribochemical reaction. On the other hand, thick tribolayers were formed on the worn surface of both oil-enriched and as-prepared AAO at relatively high load (1 N) due to tribochemical reaction and material transfer.

구기자(Lycium chinense Mill.) 유기재배시 병해충 발생 및 친환경제제의 방제효과 (Studies on Outbreak of Diseases and Pests and Effect of Environmental Friendly Control Materials in Boxthorn (Lycium chinenseMill.) Organic Cultivation)

  • 본 연구는 구기자 유기재배 시 발생하는 주요 병해충에 대해 친환경적인 방제방법을 개발하기 위해서 수행하였다. 관내 주요 유기재배 농가의 병해충의 발생을 조사한 결과 18종의 병해충이 조사되었는데 그 중 발생의 정도에 따라 병해로 흰가루병과 뒷면곰팡이병 해충으로 복숭아혹진딧물과 꽃노랑총채벌레 및 나방류가 친환경적인 방제연구가 필요하였다. 이에 방제 시험한 결과 초여름 발생하는 흰가루병에는 Bacilus subtilis QST 713 수화제와 Sulfur 수화제가 효과가 좋았고 초가을에 발생하는 흰가루병에는 Sulfur 수화제와 Copper hydroxide 수화제, Paraffinic oil 유제의 효과가 좋았다. 또한 뒷면곰팡이병 방제시험 결과 Paraffinic oil 유제와 Bacilus subtilis GB-0365 액상수화제의 방제효과가 70% 이상으로 좋았다. 해충 친환경 방제시험에서 총채벌레의 방제에 천적인 유럽애꽃노린재(Orius laevigatus)를 방사하여 80%이상 방제가능 하였다. 왕담배나방은 미생물농약인 Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. aizawai GB413 액상수화제와 Bacillus thuringiensis aizawa 0423 수화제로 70%이상의 방제가로 방제할 수 있었으며, 구기자 뿔나방(Hedma lycia sp.)은 B.T. servar aizawai 수화제가 70% 이상의 방제가로 효과가 우수하였다. 마지막으로 복숭아혹진딧물을 친환경제제로 방제 시험한 결과 Bacillus subtilis(Seoncho)와 Bacillus subtilis(Jinsami)가 80%이상의 방제가로 약효가 우수하였으며 Ginkgo nut extract로도 70%이상 방제할 수 있었다. 이상의 방제시험으로 구기자 유기재배시 우선 문제되는 5종의 병해충에 대해서 방제방법을 제시할 수 있었다.

윤활기유의 조성이 전기절연유의 성능 및 특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Base Oil Composition on Electronic Insulating Oil's Performances)

  • In order to investigate the effect of base oil composition on the electronic insulating oil's performances, an experimental study has been conducted using different oils. Owing to their properties, like lower pour point and gas absorbing, naphthenic base oils are used more often than paraffmic base oils for the electronic insulating oil application. Naphthenic and paraffinic base oils are significantly different in their aromatic hydrocarbon content. In this paper, PXE(para xylyl ethane), LAB(linear alkylbenzene), C13 aromatic hydrocarbon mixture and C17 aromatic hydrocarbon mixture are investigated regarding their influence on insulating oil's performances. According to present study, breakdown voltage decreased with increasing aromatic lydrocarbon content in a deep dewaxed paraffmic base oil. However, any changing in the dissipation factor was not recognizable at small treated level. Furthermore, the volume resistance was not influenced by aromatic hydrocarbon content. The gassing tendency was found as a highly sensible property, changing with treating aromatic hydrocarbons. The higher benzene ring content in the hydrocarbon, the better gassing tendency.

마찰저감제의 마찰특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Friction Characteristics of Friction Modifiers)

  • Wear experiments were conducted using the SRV machine on the lubricated conditions of the several temperature and load. Oil samples were prepared by adding several friction modifiers into both paraffinic base oil and engine oil. Friction and wear characteristics of the oils were determined and are discussed in connection with the friction modifiers contained, the testing temperature and the load applied. From the study, it was found the MoDTC and the MoDTP, added into the engine oil, caused drastic increase in wear and had a tendendy to lose the friction-reducing property on some specific conditions of temperature and/or load, though they had the good property on other conditions. Ashless friction modifiers and dispersed $MoS_2$ investigated showed the good friction-reducing property, but the loads, where they became active, were different.

유성제 및 극압 첨가제에 따른 마멸입자 형상해석 (Morphological Analysis of Wear Particles in the Lubricating Oil with Additives)

  • Morphological analysis of wear particles in the lubricating oil is a very effective and versatile means of lubricant analysis for machine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. The prospects for determining quantitative information about wear particle morphology have been considerably enhanced by recent developments reported in the application of image processing and analysis techniques. This study was undertaken to investigate the influence of oiliness agent and extreme pressure agent on the shape of wear particles. The wear test was performed under different experimental conditions with stearic acid, dibenzyl disulfide(DBDS) and tricresol phosphate(TCP) in paraffinic base oil. Wear particles characteristics were described using four shape parameters, namely 50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity. The results showed that the four shape parameters of wear particles depend on a kind of the additives. This analysis of wear debris with computer image processing techniques is sufficient to distinguish some types of wear debris. The wear volume of three kinds of the specimens are affected by the additives with boundary films.

Viscoelastic and Gelation Studies of SEBS Thermoplastic Elastomer in Different Hydrocarbon Oils

  • Poly[styrene-b-(ethylene-co-butylene)-b-styrene](SEBS) triblock copolymer was studied by dissolving the ethylene butylene midblock in selective hydrocarbon oils. These oils differ in their aromatic, paraffinic and naphthenic content. Dynamic rheological studies showed that the storage modulus (G') exceeded the loss modulus (G') for all the gels over the entire range of frequency, thereby confirming them as physical gels. However, the behavior of G' and G' as a function of frequency depended primarily on the oil type. The gelation melting temperature decreased drastically with increased oil aromaticity. Small angle X-ray scattering studies revealed that the maximum interdomain interference shifted to a higher angle depending on the composition and type of hydrocarbon oil.

경유 대체연료로서 수첨 바이오디젤의 연료적 특성 연구 (A Study on the Fuel Characteristics of Hydrotreated Biodiesel(HBD) for Alternative Diesel Fuel)

  • Hydrotreated biodiesel(HBD) is paraffinic bio-based liquid, with the chemical structure $C_nH_{2n+2}$, originating from vegetable oil(the process can also be applied to animal fat). The oil or fat is treated in a number of process, the most important being hydrogenation, in order to create a bio-based liquid diesel fuel. During the hydrogenation, oxygen is removed from the triglyceride and converted into water. Propane is formed as a by product and can be combusted and used for energy production. HBD can be used in conventional diesel engines, pure or blended with conventional diesel, due to its similar physical properties to diesel. This study reports the quality characteristics with chemical and physical properties as an alternative diesel fuel. Especially, HBD showed higher cetane value and number than FAME, and it is consisted of $C_{15}$ - $C_{18}$ n-paraffinic compounds. We also describes quality characteristics of HBD blends(2, 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 vol%) in automotive diesel. HBD blends(max. 20 vol%) were the limit by the Korean specification due to poor low temperature characteristics.

베인 레오미터를 이용한 왁스오일의 특성 연구 (Characteristic evaluation of waxy oil behavior using vane rheometer)

  • 심해유전개발 중 원유의 흐름보증과 관련하여 하이드레이츠, 아스팔텐, 무기물 침전 등이 주된 관심분야가 될 수 있으며, 특히 왁스에 대해서도 그 특성을 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 원유흐름 중단으로 인한 왁스가 젤을 형성하였을 경우에는, 원유의 흐름을 재시작하기 위해서는 높은 압력의 펌프를 가동해야 하는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 베인 레오미터를 사용하여 왁스 젤의 항복응력 측정을 통한 왁스 젤의 강도를 측정하고 예측하였다. 또한, 왁스 젤의 강도측정을 통해서 정성적, 정량적인 예측을 시도하였다.

윤활제의 분자구조가 Base Wax-pigment Composite의 UV-absorption특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Influence of Molecular structure of Lubricants on the UV-absorption Characteristics of the Base Wax-pigment Composites)

  • Correlation among the wax-pigment composites which is base vehicles for the crepas was investigated in terms of fadeness. The base wax synthesized and pigments are compounded with petroleum lubricant and exposed under carbon arc individually. The yellowing phenomenon was appeared on the reference papers coated with the spindle oil which was then exposed. The papers were again extracted with distilled water and pH of them were ranged between 6.2-6.5. Color difference from Adam-Nickerson equation, ${\vartriangle}E$ of base wax is 0.15 and that of spindle oil are varied from 0.66 to 15.62. Since the main components of the petroleum lubricant are aromatic hydrocarbons which have absorptions characteric of UV ranging from 240 to 280 nm, fadeness characteristics of the composites are largely depend upon the change of molecular structure of spindle oil by absorbing UV. Thus the spindle oil having the following physical properties has the better resistance of fadness and is recommended to use in compounding the base wax-pigment composites: ${\cdot}$ main component: paraffinic hydrocarbon ${\cdot}$ pour point: below - $15^{\circ}C$ ${\cdot}$ UV absorption characteristics: ${\lambda}max.$ : 268-290nm ${\cdot}$ absorbancy: below 0.1(0.03ml of sample/50ml of $CHCl_3$)
