Background and Objective : Localized Pustular Psoriasis(LPP) is a rare form of psoriasis characterized by erythematous papules, plaques studded with pustules(usually on palms or soles) However, the pathophysiology of the LPP remains obscure. Treatment at present is symptomatic and supportive. There is no report on LPP treated with oriental medical treatment. Methods : We conducted one patient with LPP seen at Won-Kwang University Ik-San Oriental Medical Hospital in 2003. We treated LPP in a forty-nine years old man by a herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxa, etc Conclusions : We had a significant results. So we report this case to estimate the efficiency of oriental medic at treatment and management on LPP

Hymenoptera stings can cause serious injury to humans. We report the clinical findings of 6 cases of Hymenoptera stings. All patients developed painful erythematous papules at the sting sites and had a past history of parasitoid wasp sting. This is the first clinical report of the parasitoid wasp, Cephalonomia gallicola, causing human stings in Korea.

The cutaneous aspergillosis is one of the most common dermatologic manifestations of disseminated infections associated with the Aspergillus organisms, but the isolated primary cutaneous disease itself can rarely occur in an immunocompetent host. We report a case of the primary cutaneous aspergillosis on the scalp and the neck in a 39-year-old immunocompetent male patient. There was a single purulent ulcer surrounded by the erythematous indurated plaque on the scalp with multiple satellite papules and a multi-lobulated granulomatous plaque with a crust on the neck. Skin biopsy demonstrated a fungus, the Aspergillus, in the deep dermis as the etiologic agent. No evidence of involvement in other organs was found. The patient exhibited no other apparent systemic diseases nor immunologic defects. An elliptical excision and a primary closure was performed, and the adjuvant antifungal treatment, oral itraconazole, was applied to prevent the recurrence by the satellite lesions.

Acne, which intrucdes the pilosebaceous unit, is a chronic inflammatory disease. The symptom of comedones, papules, pustules, cysts, nodules and scar mainly raises on the face, upper back, shoulder and neck. The cause of acne is the secreting growth of sebum, abnormal follicular keratiniziation, the form of group of propionibacterium acnes, and the respones of inflammation etc. But the original mechanism of the cytobiologic level is exactly not known yet. We treated three patients suffered from acne with acupuncture, venesection, Chungsangbangpung-tang, wet dressing with Gamihwangryunhaedok-tang. After treatments we observed the improvement. Based on this study, it is considered that acupuncture, venesection, Chungsangbangpung-tang wet drssing with Gamihwangryunhaedok-tang can be applied to the management of acne.

Objective : This study is designed to investigate the effect of Oriental medical therapy on psoriasis. Methods : We applied Aroma ointment to abnormal skin two times a day. For herbal medicine, Bangpungtongsungsan-gami was given. We checked involvement in scaly skin, erythematosus papules and infiltration according to psoriasis area and severity(PASI) Results : After treatment, the patient showed that itching symptoms was disappeared and score of PASI changed from 27 to 0.8 Conclusions : According to the result, Oriental medical therapy and Aroma therapy has a good effect on psoriasis. But further studies are required to definitely prove the effectiveness of Aroma therapy

Objectives : The purpose of This study was to find the effect of Jeondo-gan (JDS) on acne. Methods : From December 1, 2003 to January 31, 2004, 11 patients with acne were observed, limited to patients who were teated with JDS for more than three weeks. JDS mined with cold water was used on outbreaks of acne, 15 minutes. 1 time per night, 6 times per week. Results & Conclusions : 3 males and 8 females were treated ever three weeks, The average age was 21.73 years old. Before treatment, ache patients had sparse papules on the forehead. both cheeks, and chin, After treatment over three weeks, nine acne patients changed for ihe better at a rate of $81.8\%$ (mild improved $54.6\%$, improved $18.2\%$, much improved $9\%$)

Chungsangbangpungtang is one of the most frequently used medical treatments for the acne. A study on 25 patients with acne who took Chungsangbangpungtang shows that the oral medication of Chungsangbangpungtang is the best efficient remedy for a person who has acne less than one year without nodules.

Objective : The patient presented with a week history of orange-eryhtematous follicular hyperkeratotic papules in facial and skull part.Methods : Korean medicinePalMul-tang八物湯 was used and Aroma ointment and Retinoid lotion were used together.Results : After 6 months therapy, she experienced remarkable improvement of symptoms.Conclusions : Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris (PRP) is belong to 'Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris (PRP) is belong to 'Honyoja狐尿刺'in Korean medicine, and we can expect a relatively good treatment effect.

A 7.1 kg, seven-year old, castrated male, Shih-Tzu with severe pruritus, chronic otitis externa and Malassezia infection was referred to Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University. In local animal hospital, steroid therapy was used to treat uncontrollable pruritus, but the clinical signs were recurrent when steroid therapy was discontinued. On physical examination, generalized alopecia, erythema, papules, severe crust and diffuse lichenification were presented. Tape strip test of skin lesions revealed cocci and Malassezia infections. Based on the result of history, clinical signs and examination described above, canine atopic dermatitis with secondary superficial pyoderma and Malassezia dermatitis was diagnosed. Oral challenge with cyclosporine and antibiotics had good results in clinical signs. Clinical sign scores were evaluated by investigator with CADESI at 2weeks, 4weeks, 6weeks, 8weeks and 10weeks after cyclosporine administration. And in the result of comparing of allergen-specific IgE value, the level of allergen-specific IgE to general causative allergen after 10 weeks of cyclosporine therapy was higher than that before cyclosporine therapy.

Lichen planus is a unique inflammatory cutaneous and mucous membrane reaction pattern of unknown etiology. Lichen planus of the soles generally occurs as an isolated phenomenon. The lesions differ from classic lesions of lichen planus in that the papules are larger and aggregate into semitransluecent plaques with a globular waxy surface. We report a 38-year-old female patient with lichen planus of right sole. The lesion shows erythematous eroded patch, swelling and severe pain. We thought that she might have envolved erysipelas. So, we gave her oriental medicine and antibiotics, so she was improved. But after long walking, lesion began to getting worse. There appeared oozing, ulcer, pus, pain and swelling in her lesion. We gave her oriental medicine and wet dressinf. But it didn't work.
