The clean tube system was developed as a means of transferring air-floated wafers inside a closed tube filled with super clean air. This paper presents a wafer position sensing method in the clean tube system, where the photo proximity sensors are used. The first presented method uses the two positions sensed lately in order to compute the wafer center position. The next method uses the latest sensed position and the next latest position compensated with the information of the wafer velocity. The third method uses the kalman filter, which enable us to use all the previous sensing information. The simulation results are compared to show results of the presented method. In addition, the paper presents a control method to stop the wafer at the center of the unit in the clean tube system. The experimental clean tube system worked successfully with the applying the both presented methods of sensing and control.

Diagrid structures have been introduced as a fairly modern lateral load-resisting system in the design of high-rise buildings. In this paper, a novel diagrid system called tube-in-tube diagrid building is introduced and assessed through pushover and incremental dynamic analyses. The main objectives of this paper are to find the optimum angle of interior and exterior diagrid tube and evaluate the efficiency of diagrid core on the probability of collapse comparing to the conventional diagrid system. Finally, the seismic performance factors of the proposed system are validated according to the FEMA P695 methodology. To achieve these, 36-story diagrid buildings with various external and internal diagonal angles are designed and then 3-D nonlinear models of these structures developed in PERFORM-3D. The results show that weight of steel material highly depends on diagonal angle of exterior tube. Adding diagrid core generally increases the over-strength factor and collapse margin ratio of tall diagrid buildings confirming high seismic safety margin for tube-in-tube diagrid buildings under severe excitations. Collapse probabilities of both structural systems under MCE records are less than 10%. Finally, response modification factor of 3.0 and over-strength factor of 2.0 and 2.5 are proposed for design of typical diagrid and tube-in-tube diagrid buildings, respectively.

This paper was studied on corrosion of heat exchanger tube for absorption refrigeration machine. In the 62 % lithium bromide solution at $60^{\circ}C$, polarization test of Cu, Al-brass, 10 % cupro nickel(90-10 % Cu-Ni) and 30 % cupronickel(70-30 % Cu-Ni) tube was carried out. And polarization behavior, polarization resistance characteristics, open circuit potential, anodic polarization of heat exchanger tube for absorption refrigeration machine were considered. The main results are as following: The open circuit potential of Al-brass tube becomes less noble than that of Cu tube, corrosion current density of that becomes lower than Cu tube. The open circuit potential of cupronickel tube is more noble than that of Cu tube, corrosion current density of that is controlled than Cu tube. The passivation critical current of 30 % Cu-Ni tube is lower than that of 10 % Cu-Ni tube, potential of passive region of that is more wide than 10 % Cu-Ni tube.

In this paper, the hybrid tube expander unit for fin and tube type heat exchanger are developed by means of enlarging and inserting the smooth tube with a small diameter to a finned tube having larger diameter. In other word, the tube expander tool that is easy to attach and remove from tube is developed. The hybrid tube expander unit developed in this study can move easily and enlarge the tube without fixing at tube sheet. Also, this unit has a function removing scales inside tube by replacing a tube expander ball.
Super speed tube train is introduced to increase the speed of ground transportation. The super speed tube train levitates magnetically and runs in a partial vacuum tube, which can reduce the air resistance significantly. However, the strong magnetic force enough to propel the massive train can affect to the tube infrastructure. In this paper, authors have analyzed the leakage flux patterns and induced eddy current on the tube by using 3-dimensional Finite Element Method. These effects are investigated, especially by varying the materials and diameters of the tube. From the simulation results, the aluminum tube with the diameter of 3[m] is needed to be concerned because the induced eddy current produces joule heat, raises the inside temperature of the tube, and might be able to lead to electro-chemical corrosion on the tube, consequently reduce the durability.
The experimental results of the 17K inertance tube pulse tube cryocooler for cooling cryosensors are presented in this paper. In prototype experiments, linear compressor is driven by linear motor, and inertance tubes are inserted between one liter reservoir and pulse tube. Design of the inertance tube pulse tube cryo-cooler is conducted by ARCOPTR program of NASA Ames Research Center. To find optimal conditions of inertance tube pulse tube cryocooler, no load temperature and refrigeration capacity according to the variations of inertance tube volume, reservoir volume and charging pressure are measured. and the cool down and load characteristics at the particular conditions are presented. As the representative results, no load temperature of the cold end is 52.7K and refrigeration capacity is 5W at 72K..
The most compact and convenient pulse tube cryocooler for practical applications is the coaxial type. It can replace Stirling cryocooler without any change to the Dewar or the connection to the cooled devices. The experimental results of the coaxial inertance tube pulse tube cryocooler for cooling superconductor RF filter are presented in this paper. To find optimal conditions of inertance tube pulse tube cryocooler, no load temperature according to the variations of inertance tube volume, reservoir volume are measured, and the cool down characteristics at the particular conditions are presented. In case of the coaxial type inertance tube pulse tube refrigerator, cool down time is the lowest in the inertance tube diameter of 1.3 mm and inertance tube length of 1900 mm and lowest temperature is 112K. This results are not satisfactory for practical applications. So, We propose vacuum insulation between regenerator and pulse tube in the Stirling type coaxial pulse tube cryocooler. Stirling type coaxial pulse tube cryocooler with the vacuum insulation between regenerator and pulse tube was designed and manufactured by KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials). The optimal conditions will be tested for Stirling type coaxial pulse tube cryocooler with the vacuum insulation between regenerator and pulse tube.

Brake tube is considered one of the most important parts in automobile. The shape of brake tube-end has a great influence on the function of brake, and the quality and productivity of brake tube have relation to die design. The forming process of brake tube-end is peformed by hydraulic press forming machine. In this paper, the forming processes of tube-end for automobile is analyzed and designed to make the optimal form of brake tube-end. Also, finite element analysis has been carried out using DEFORM-3D$\^$TM/ to predict the optimal shape of brake tube-end and the results obtained showed the optimal length between punch and chuck is 1.0 ∼ 1.2mm. The shape of tube-end is in good agreement with the finite element simulations and the experimental results.
Fluidelastic instability and nonlinear dynamics of tube bundles is a key issue in a steam generator. Especially, once the post-instability motion of the tube becomes larger than the clearance gap to other tubes, effective contact or impact between the tubes under consideration and the other tube inevitable. There is seldom theoretical analysis to the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of a tube array in two-phase flow. In this paper, experimental and numerical studies were utilized to obtain the critical velocity of the flow-induced instability of a rotated triangular tube array. The calculation results agreed well with the experimental data. To explore the post-instability dynamics of the tube array system, a Runge-Kutta scheme was used to solve the nonlinear governing equations of tube motion. The numerical results indicated that, when the flow pitch velocity is larger than the critical velocity, the tube array system is undergoing a limit cycle motion, and the dynamic characteristics of the tube array are almost similar for different void fractions.

This paper is about that case study of the Tube Transportation System that the new transportation system offering passenger and logistic service in a metropolis having plenty of the floating population or between medium-sized cities, and solving large issues like terrible traffic jams and environmental problems etc. in this region. Also it presented that elicitation results of performance parameter and the categorization system of it applying a systematic analysis methodology. By the medium of this paper, It showed that definition, case study, performance parameters, and the categorization system of parameters of a general tube transportation system before developing requirements of a specific tube transportation system. From now on, it will come in pretty handy in systems engineering of activities to establish a concept of a new tube transportation systems and develop requirements.
