  • In this paper, seismic qualification analysis for the Plant control Panel is carried out to confirm the structural integrity under the seismic conditions represented by required response spectra(RRS). The finite element method(FEM) is used for the analysis and a mode combination method is adopted to obtain a more reliable spectrum analysis results. In addition, the experimental analysis is performed to compare the reliability of the analytical results. The analysis results shows that the plant control panel system is designed to have the dynamic rigidity with no resonance frequency below 33 Hz. The analytically calculated maximum stress of the plant control panel system is $36\%$ of the field strength of material, thus it can be shown that the system has a stable structure for the seismic load.

  • The optimal design for stiffened laminated composite cylindrical panels under axial compression was studied using linear and nonlinear deformation theories by finite difference energy methods. Various panel structures was made from Carbon/Epoxy USN125 prepreg and considered 3 types stiffeners. Optimal design analyses of panel structure are carried out by the nonlinear search optimizer, ADS. This optimal design results are compared to the FEM result using ANSYS.

  • Recently, the method of the apartment building design has been changed from wall type structures to moment structures. With like this reason dry walls are used plentifully. Especially, the gypsum board was used from previously plentifully however the weak point of it is difficult to maintain because it weak strength. For the improvement of gypsum board, light weight concrete panel using cement board is used recently. As this study is the research of the series t on the development of non-hearing light weight concrete Panel using bottom ash, the Purpose of this study is to obtain basic data for application in the field. The results are that the structure 1 satisfies domestic standard concerned with sound insulation between households at the laboratory and field test.

  • To investigate the effects of haunch repair on the system seismic performance of steel moment-resisting frames (steel MRFs), a case study was conducted for a 13-story frame damaged during the 1994 Northridge earthquake. It was assumed that only those locations with reported damage would be repaired with haunches. A new analytical modeling technique for the dual panel zone developed by the author was incorporated in the analysis. Both the inelastic static and dynamic analyses did not indicate detrimental side effects resulting from the repair. As a result of the increased strength in dual panel zones, yielding in these locations were eliminated and larger plastic rotation demand occurred in the beams next to the shallow end of the haunches. Nevertheless, the beam plastic rotation demand produced by the Sylmar record of 1994 Northridge earthquake was still limited to 1.7% radians. The repair resulted in a minor increase in earthquake energy input. In the original structure, the panel zones should dissipate about 80%(for the Oxnard record) and 70%(for the Sylmar record) of the absorbed energy, assuming no brittle failure of moment connections. After repair, the energy dissipated in the panel zones and beams were about equal.

  • The optical properties of PDP, such as the transmittance and reflectance, were analyzed with 3D optical code. Three different ITO-less structures in the front panel are examined. In the assembled panel study, the test 1 structure shows 16.6% and 10.2% higher reflectance than the structures of tests 2 and 3, respectively. In order to check the validation of the simulation result, three 7.5-inch test panels having the same geometry and property are fabricated as simulation models. The calculated reflective properties are compared to the measured data from real panels. The relative difference extracted from the simulation and measurement methods is less than 4.9% and are well matched.

  • KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) has developed smart unmaned aerial vehicle(UAV) since 2002. Smart UAV has tilt rotor configuration which can take off and land vertically. For designing and developing smart UAV, it is necessary to obtain design loads. ARGON which use the panel method is multidisciplinary aircraft design program developed and modified by KARI and TsAGI. Panel method is very useful to obtain aerodynamic loads, so it have been used widely for aircraft loads analysis. For flight loads analysis, we have to prepare regulations and load conditions, and then design aerodynamic panel model, mass model and structure model. In this paper, we introduce the flight loads analysis procedure briefly, and show the smart UAV loads analysis procedure and result using ARGON.

  • Canister with composite sandwich panel has been suggested owing to its higher stiffness and strength over a weight for square shaped canisters. The pyro shock induced by a short time explosion inside a canister is generally considered to be the most severe source of load affecting on the entire structure. Therefore, in this study, the approach and modeling method to identify the effect of pyro shock on canister with composite sandwich panel in a numerical way were mainly discussed. Moreover, the verification was implemented through comparison with test results.

  • The main purpose of this study is to analyze the causal relationship between import-export goods and transportation modes. To this end, five major commodity groups were selected from 2010 to 2018 such as Machinery and transport equipment (SITC 7), manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (SITC 6), chemicals and related products, n.e.s. (SITC 5), mineral, fuels, lubricants, and related materials (SITC 3), and miscellaneous manufactured articles (SITC 8). And using the panel VECM, the difference between transportation modes such as ports and airports was compared and analyzed through panel granger causality, Impulse response function, Forecasting error variance decomposition. As a result, it is confirmed that the causal relationship between major product groups and transportation modes showed different causal relationships depending on the characteristics of port and air transportation.
