Nowadays shear wall structural system is gradually changing to framed structure. For this reason, lightweight panel is increasingly being used as separating walls. One of design methods to obtain high transmission loss is double panel. To predict the acoustic performance of double panel, prediction of transmission loss of single panel must be performed, previously. In this study, the predicted values for four single panels were compared with the measured values. The result shows the arithmetical average deviations(100Hz to 3150Hz) between the predicted and measured transmission loss were in range between 1.1dB and 3.9dB. The predicted values were generally lower than measured values above critical frequency. The single-number quantities, $R_W+C$, were predicted in range between 36dB to 38dB, and the differences of single-number quantities between the predicted and measured value were within 1dB.

Roof and exterior wall of general formal buildings are designed and constructed through design focused exterior wall system and drainage and waterproof roof system. However, there are no classification of exterior wall and roof in freeform buildings and they are integrated as a surface of freeform buildings. Therefore it is necessary to develop the dry roof construction method using double skin roof system satisfying the design and function of the envelope. In this study, we have an effort to develop construction method of double-skin roof system using metal panel and PV.
Korean building industry was developed by concrete and steel construction. However, concrete and steel have some problems which low carbon storage capability and difficulty of recycling. According to many studies, timber has high carbon storage capability, high recycling capability and sustainable supporting capability. Focus on this factors of timber, make new wall structure as Green Timber Wall panels and check the shear performance to use wall system in housing construction such as light-weight timber construction and nondearing wall on other construction. In the results, B-4-B and B-4-S show similar modulus of shear stiffness on the table. GH-4-GH has slip shape failure mode between Green Timber Wall boards. GH-4-GV has most stable characteristic curve than other specimens.

In this paper, a new structure for a dC plasma display pane(PDP) with a wall-catode and a wall-auxilizry anode has been suggested. The wall-cathode with a sufficient discharge area maximizes the discharge volume. The auxiliary anode surrounding the discharge region makes the effective control of the charged particles possible. We have investigated the cahracteristics of the new cell structure with a 2-dimensional computer simulation and a micro gap discharge system, and compared experimentally with those of previous cell structure. The new cell structure with the wall-cathode and auxiliary wall-anode turned out to have improved luminance, discharge forming time and sustain voltage.

The compressive strength of horizontal joints in precast concrete large panel structures depends on parameters such as grout and panel strength, detail of joint, joint moment, width of grout column etc. As the panels are only connected at the pocket, it results in the reduction of compressive strength area. The purposes of this study are to develop the suitable grout material the joint pocket and to enable us to evaluate structural capacity. The validity of the design formulas provides us more economic system in construction. Test results of 15 specimens show that the proper construction procedure and grouting material develop the sufficient compressive strength of the wall as monolithic system.
A new seismic energy dissipation shear wall structure is proposed in this paper. The new shear wall is one with purposely built-in vertical slits within the wall panel, and various seismic energy dissipation devices are installed in the vertical slits so that the dynamic characteristics of the structure (for instance, lateral stiffness, ductility and fundamental period) can be controlled. In order to verify this concept, shaking table tests of two 10-story shear wall models were carried out, and the seismic behavior of the two models are studied by analyzing the test data and computing the nonlinear seismic response of the models.
Purpose: Recently energy consumption is rapidly increasing due to continuous development of social evolution in various field. In this situation, there is a lot of effort to reduce this energy consumption in many ways, especially in building energy. Preceding studies already started to analyze the housing area such as zero energy house and passive house by researching annual building energy consumption, but to apply the results of housing to office building is insufficient since it has different consumption tendency. Method: In this study, eQuest program was used for simulation and the base model is selected among standard office building in ASHRAE 90.1. Variables are divided into passive and active factors for comparison. Result: In passive factors, glazing system showed the highest energy saving rate by 21.3% with triple low-e glass and enhancing wall u-value showed the lowest energy saving rate by 3.6% with 0.15 m2/K. In active factors, VAV system showed 30.9% energy saving rate when compared to CAV system, and heat exchanger showed 10.2% energy saving rate. For regeneration energy part, photovoltaic panel generated 10.4% of base annual energy usage.
In the study, a numerical analysis is conducted to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of an inverter system inside a panel for three locations (bottom, middle and top). A conjugate heat transfer is simulated using a CFD (computational fluid dynamics) code since the heat transfer through the surrounding panel walls is important. It is shown that the heat flux through the left wall, which is important for the safety of the electronic equipment, is the biggest when the inverter is located at bottom. On the other hand, the heat flux through the left wall is negligible when the inverter at middle or top. It is also found that the heat flux to the surrounding walls is the lowest when the inverter is at middle.

Carbon board, an electromagnetic shielding new material, is expected to be applied to the art wall by combining draft designs. When environment-friendly architecture materials are used as an interior wall, they are suitable as finishing materials. According to the increasing tendency of the application of carbon board, various styles could be made by decorating the whole or a part of a wall with tiles with module structure or by patterning the wall with panel-type woodcut or pictures or sculpture. And more graphic design based on diverse variation, and reconstruction and combination between other motif is being on the rise as a new expression. In this paper, make it possible to applying in MDF board and carbon board pattern design using the woodcut technique. The structural and physical properties were compared by usability of abrasion, toughness, stability. Samples are analyzed dependent on the hardness and relative density, change of detail pattern design and trimming technique. These results have shown that the possibility of applying of carbon board can be a high rank interior materials, capable of creating value of the living system, connects with MDF board, also can express humanism in a beautiful manner.
