Changes in Metals (Pb, Sn and Fe), Vitamin C Contents, Color and pH of Canned Pineapple Juice and Slice during Open Storage (캔 파인애플 쥬스 및 슬라이스의 개봉 후 저장조건에 따른 금속(Pb, Sn and Fe), Vitamin C. 색도 및 pH 변화)

  • The effect of storage temperature and time on the contents of metal (Pb, Sn and Fe), vitamin C, color and pH was studied for canned pineapple juice (PJ) and pineapple slice (PS) which were stored for 120 hours at 5 and 2$0^{\circ}C$ and analyzed at 24 hours intervals. The results are as follows; 1. The metal contents of PJ and PS were in the rank of 24<48<72<96<120 hours by storage time at 5 and 2$0^{\circ}C$. These contents were increased to 44.1%/24 hrs of Ph, 18.0%/24 hrs of Sn, 34.6%/24 hrs of Fe but decreased to 6.0%/24 hrs of vitamin C in PJ and PS during 120 hrs. Storage times were correlation to contents of metal and pH but was not correlation to vitamin C contents. These were increased to 37.7%/24 hrs of Pb, 18.8%/24 hrs of Sn, 34.6%/24 hrs of Fe, but decreased to 6.0%/24 hrs of vitamin C. 2. These were increased to 10.6% of Pb, 3.7% of Sn, 11.3% of Fe in PJ and to 33.7% of Pb, 4.8% of Sn, 37.6% of Fe in PS at 2$0^{\circ}C$ than 5$^{\circ}C$ but vitamin C contents were decreased to 8.2% in PJ and 2.7% in PS at 2$0^{\circ}C$ than 5$^{\circ}C$. This fact suggests that more attention be paid in handling canned PJ and PS after opening in order to avoid the decreasing vitamin C and the hazard from Pb, Sn, Fe. 3. Changing factors in Pb, Sn, Fe and vatiamin C content were in the rank of storage temperature$0^{\circ}C$.

Challenges of VOD Market of Korean Film Industry: Legislative and Policy Alternatives to Improve its Distribution Structure (국내 영화 온라인 부가시장의 유통구조 합리화 방안)

  • With the advancement of the digital convergence of content and platform, Korean film industry sees good opportunities of maximizing the profits and increased distribution opportunities by independent film makers. Nevertheless, the domestic film market almost entirely relies on the box office sales, which seems to be caused by the stagnation of new additional copyright market. The study aims to address the following problems: First, information asymmetry of the revenues to which the contents providers and the service providers are exposed leads to the distrust among digital film contents businesses and the disadvantages to film makers and investors, in particular. Secondly, the VOD(Video on Demand) market of film industry is adversely affected by the illegal uploads and downloads of film contents, which harms the formation of paid additional market. Based on the examination of current legislation and policy options addressing these issues, the study suggests legislative accomodations and cultural industry policy alternatives to promote the additional market of film industry.

A Case Study on the Accessibility of Online Learning Content in Korea (국내 원격 교육 콘텐츠의 접근성 분석 사례)

  • The accessibility evaluation of ten web-based loaming content in Korea was performed with the following procedure : (1) A primitive metric of the compliance of those contents to the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 1.0 was obtained using Bobby, a widely used accessibility checker. (2) SGML validation test was carried out. (3) The contents were rendered with various browsers including a text-mode browser. (4) They were manually checked as to whether they satisfy the accessibility criteria proposed by W3C. Most of the tested contents scored low marks in all the test categories partly because they were apparently developed with little attention paid to web standard conformance, browser compatibility, and device-independence. They also put heavy emphasis on audio-visual effects catering only to the best-equipped users and offering no alternate access route for those in restricted environment. As more information and learning materials are delivered through the Internet, these low accessible contents would lead to a deeper information divide. The accessibility needs to be regarded as an important factor in evaluating the quality of loaming content.

  • The first wave of e-government projects dating from the early 1990s primarily focused on setting up national and global information infrastructure, internal organizational reform, digital procurement, and the digital delivery of government services to citizens. Most of these e-Government projects have concentrated on the development of systems focusing on strengthening the formal agencies and institutions of government. To date, despite many theoretical and empirical studies on citizen involvement in terms of governance, relatively little attention has been paid to developing e-government systems with a focus on improving citizen involvement, which we call e-governance systems. This paper discusses the characteristics of the e-governance systems, identifies core requirements for its development, and suggests an e-governance system architecture that can satisfy the core requirements.

  • Recently, with the market of smart phones slowing down, more attention is paid to wearable devices. It was suggested that 2013 was the "year of the smart watch", due to that the majority of major consumer electronics manufacturers were undertaking work on a smart watch device. However there are still many issues on the interaction and interface design of smart watches. This study reviewed related literatures and evaluated the interaction methods, interface and content design of current smart watches. Based on that, future research directions were proposed. The research results have significant meanings for the guidance of future directions of smart watch.

Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) to Enhance Capacity in 5G

  • Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) where all users share the entire time and frequency resource has paid attention as one of the key technologies to enhance the spectral efficiency and the total throughput. Nevertheless, as the number of users and SIC error increase, the inter-user interference and the residual interference due to the SIC error also increase, resulting in performance degradation. In order to mitigate the performance degradation, we propose grouping-based NOMA system. In the proposed scheme, all users are divided into two groups based on the distance between the BS and each user, where one utilizes the first half of the bandwidth and the other utilizes the rest in the orthogonal manner. On the other hand, users in each group share the spectrum in the non-orthogonal manner. Grouping users can reduce both the inter-user interference and residual interference due to the SIC error, so it can outperform conventional NOMA system, especially in case that the number of users and the SIC error increase. Based on that, we also present the hybrid operation of the conventional and the proposed NOMA systems. In numerical results, the total throughput of the proposed NOMA systems is compared with that of the conventional NOMA systems with regard to the number of users and SIC error. It is confirmed that the proposed NOMA system outperforms the conventional NOMA system as the number of users and the SIC error increase.

A Study on the Forehead Temperature Distribution Palpation, so called 'Emaizhenduan' (이마의 온도 분포 진단법, 소위 액맥진단(額脈診斷)에 관한 고찰)

  • Objectives As a method of body temperature distribution diagnosis, palpation of infants' forehead had been widely introduced in ancient East Asian medical classics. However, few attention have been paid to this diagnostic method - so called 'emaizhenduan (額脈診斷)'. So we studied the history of emaizhenduan and it's implication in modern clinical field. Materials and methods: To search the medical classic that contains any contents of emaizhenduan, we mainly used the electronic texts of Zhonghuayidian (中華醫典). To search modern study article on emaizhenduan, we used China National Knowledge Infrastructure (www.cnki.net), National Digital Science Library (ndsl.kr) etc. Results 20 kinds of East Asian medical classics were found to contain contents on emaizhenduan. The oldest one was Huoyoukouyi (活幼口議) which was written in Yuan dynasty of China. Only one modern TCM book was found to have comments on emaizhenduan, while some textbooks of pediatrics in Korean Medicine was found to have relatively sound introduction on emaizhenduan. Conclusion It is shown in ancient East Asian medical classics that infants' forehead temperature palpation was introduced as early as late 13th century in China, and have continuously been referred in many East Asian medical classics before modern era.

  • Augmented reality based on projection, called "Spatial Augmented Reality (SAR)", is a new technology that can produce immersive contents by overlapping virtuality and real-world environment. It has been paid attention as the next generation digital contents in media art and human-computer interaction (HCI). In this paper, we present a new methodology to evaluate the product appearance design more intuitively by means of SAR technique. The proposed method first projects the high-quality rendered image considering the optical property of materials onto the mock-up of a product. We also conduct a projector-camera calibration to compensate a color distortion according to a projector, a projection surface and environment lighting. The design evaluation methodology we propose offers more flexible and intuitive evaluation environment to a designer and user (evaluator) than previous methods that are performed via a digital display. At the end of this research, we have conducted a case study for designing and evaluating appearance design of an automobile.

Efficient Offered Contents Using Broadcast Encryption (브로드캐스트 암호화를 이용한 효율적인 컨텐츠 제공)

  • The method of broadcast encryption has been applied to the transmission of digital information such as multimedia, software, and paid TV on the open network. In this broadcast encryption method, only previously authorized users can gain access to digital information. When broadcast message is transmitted, authorized users can first decode the session key using the previously given private key and get digital information using this session key. This way, users retrieve a message or a session key using the key transmitted by broadcasters. For their part, broadcasters need to generate and distribute keys. Broadcasters should also carry out efficient key renewal when users subscribe or un-subscriber. In this paper use a broadcast, and present the DRM model, using that look into the requirement about the contents and apply also the concept of a broadcast encryption. We offer the authority to copy as the number of reproduction to want to the user, and the low so that we were convenient because we used.

  • These days, the Internet networks have rapidly expanded and used in various fields and been recognized as essential in our daily life. However, there are users who have difficulties in access to web sites like those with physical disabilities. Therefore, our country as well as developed countries have paid more attention to web access, and organized investigation and research are needed. This study presents how to reduce the number of access for efficient web access by the visually disabled and designs user interface.
