  • While braking cars, a large amount of energy is taken into the brake system in a short period of time. This leads to some problems ; cracking of the disc, non-uniform wear of pad and disc, fade. Thus it is important to measure the contact thermal behaviour precisely between disc and pad. The measurements must be considered to design the brake system. The paper describes methods to analysis the problem of the thermal behavior on the ventilated disc with ANSYS-a program of FEA and a brake dynamometer. According to this way, the paper can present the error between the data by the dynamometer and the results of analysis by ANSYS.

선형 롤 CMP에서 플로팅 노즐을 이용한 연마 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Polishing Characteristics Using Floating Nozzle in Linear Roll CMP)

  • Conventional etching technology is in the face of problems such as dishing, erosion resulting from non-uniform removal of film. Advanced printed circuit board (PCB) requires accurate wire formation with the aid of planarization by chemical mechanical polishing (CMP). Linear roll CMP is a line contact continuous process which removes the film by pressurization and rotation while slurry is supplied to polishing pad attached to the roll. This paper focuses on the design of floating nozzle on the linear roll CMP equipment which makes the slurry supply uniformly on the roll pad. Experimental results show that removal rate using the floating nozzle increases 3 times higher than that without it and non-uniformity is less than 15%.

  • 본 연구에서는 UWB를 활용하여 초정밀 측위가 가능한 RTLS 태그에 무선충전부를 구현하였고 자기공진방식으로 4개의 디바이스를 동시에 충전할 수 있는 무선충전 패드를 개발하였다. 제안된 프로토타입 시스템은 4개의 디바이스를 동시에 충전하는 실험에서 완충시간이 시작전압 3V 기준으로 약 22분 소요되었으며 50cm 이내의 거리에서 목표 정류충전이 완료된 것을 확인하였다.

  • Radial, tilting 12-pad proceeding bearings are applied as the radial bearings of vertical rotors of water turbines. The mean loads are stable at the peripheral speeds of proceeding reaching 50 m/s. The operation of tilting 12-pads proceeding bearing has been introduced at the assumption of adiabatic oil film. The oil film pressure, temperature and viscosity distributions have been obtained by iterative solution of the Reynolds', energy and viscosity equations. The resulting oil film force, minimum oil film thickness, power loss, oil flow, maximum oil film pressure, maximum temperature have been computed for different load angle of bearing.

도로용 발전장치 최적화 설계를 위한 수치해석 (A Numerical Analysis for Optimal Design of Road Generator System)

  • 본 연구에서는 도로용 발전장치 최적화 설계를 위해 실험과 수치해석을 다루었으며, 도로용 발전장치는 패드, 축, 토셔널 댐퍼, 일방향 클러치, 기어, 발전기 등의 여러 가지 기계요소를 포함한다. 본 수치해석은 도로용 발전장치의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 개발되었으며 소프트웨어에 의하여 이론적으로 계산된 결과값을 사용하여 최적화 설계의 변수인자를 결정하게 된다. 이러한 변수는 장치의 용량, 길이, 각도 등이며, 차량의 운전상태에 따라서 토오크, 출력 및 생성된 에너지값 등의 결과값을 비교하여, 도로용 발전장치를 설계하기 전 수치해석을 통해 제안된 개념과 시스템이 효율성과 신뢰성을 갖도록 한다.

건축파사드 LED칼라의 감성평가모형 연구 (A Study on the Emotional Evaluation Model of LED Colors in Architectural Pacade)

  • The purpose of this study is to draw emotional evaluation model related to LED lighting colors and suggest basic informations that enable planned directions of architectural pacade lighting to simulate beforehand in a laboratory. As experimental methods, extracted PAD emotional evaluation model and then directed a experimental model of 10 LED lighting colors, studied and analyzed survey questions. The results are as follows; First, in the case of P(Pleasure-Unpleasure), Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Magenta, White and Combination of $G{\leftrightarrow}B$ Colors are satisfying, vibrant and positive distribution chart has shown. Second, in the case of A(Arousal-Unarousal), Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, White and Combinations of $R{\leftrightarrow}G$, $G{\leftrightarrow}B$, $R{\leftrightarrow}B$ Colors, it makes a little difference, they have shown useful distribution chart to induce sight in a aroused state. Third, in the case of D(Dominance-Submissiveness), Red, Cyan, Green and Combinations of $G{\leftrightarrow}B$ Colors are free, controlling and extent of effect was excellent. On the contrary, in the case of Yellow and Magenta and Combinations of $R{\leftrightarrow}B$, they are gentle and arouse the protective instinct or feminine distribution chart has shown. Fourth, it showed difference of preference that difference of select ratios of both men and women in Orange, Blue, Greenish-Yellow (preference of man) and Magenta, Combinations of $R{\leftrightarrow}B$ Colors(preference of woman).

정렬불량에 따른 틸팅 패드 스러스트 베어링의 운전 성능 한계 검토 (Operating Performance Limitations of Tilting Pad Thrust Bearings Due to Misalignment)

  • In thrust bearings, the thrust collar and bearing surface need to be parallel to each other to ensure that all pads share the same load. In rotating machines, the shaft system cannot achieve perfect alignment. Misalignment of the thrust collar results in some pads supporting a higher load than others and excessive loads being placed on some pads. Consequently, high loads and high temperatures may occur in the bearing. Thus, in this study, we aim to analytically evaluate the performance of a misaligned non-equalizing direct lubricated tilting pad thrust bearing. We define the oil film thickness of the misaligned thrust bearing using the Byrant angle. Additionally, we calculate the pressure distribution and temperature distribution of the thrust bearing using the generalized Reynolds equation and energy equation. The design limit of the thrust bearing is defined by the load and temperature. Therefore, we evaluate the allowable misalignment angle as the limit of the maximum load and temperature. The analysis results demonstrate that an increase in the speed and load corresponds to a smaller allowable misalignment angle. However, as this is not the same for all thrust bearings, evaluating the allowable misalignment angle at each thrust bearing is essential.

플래시 기반의 감성요소를 활용한 홈 네트워크 인터페이스 디자인 연구 (Flash Interface Design for Home Network)

  • 플래시 기반의 wall pad에서 보여줄 수 있는 그래픽 인터페이스의 방향은 크게 세가지로 구분할 수 있다. 첫 번째, 디스플레이 내의 자유로운 공간 이동이다. Wall pad의 주요한 기능은 제품의 원격제어이며 디스플레이에서 각 제품의 위치와 상태를 표시해 주는 것이다. 그러나 한정된 디스플레이 내에서 이러한 동작은 쉽지 않다. 플래시 기반의 환경에서 자유로운 zoom in, out을 통해 제품에 대한 정보를 명확하게 전달 가능하게 된다. 두 번째, 사용자의 감성 만족도를 극대화하는 측면이다. 감성 만족도를 높이기 위하여 모바일 제품에서도 대기화면 등에 다양한 요소를 적용하고 있다. 다만 본 제품은 모바일 제품과는 달리 항상 거실의 고정된 위치에서 보여지게 된다는 환경적 제약을 가지고 있다. 따라서 이를 활용하여 그 자체로 하나의 거실 인테리어 소품이 되어 전체 거실의 분위기를 한층 돋보이게 하는 역할까지도 가능하다. 세 번째, 메뉴 전개 방식에 활용 가능하다. 기능이 다양해지고 복잡해질수록 메뉴를 찾아 들어가는 일은 어렵고 복잡해지기 쉽다. 이러한 문제는 시간과 공간의 개념을 활용한 메뉴 전개를 통해 플래시를 활용하여 좀 더 직관적이고 인공지능적인 메뉴 방식으로 접근이 가능해진다. 이와 같이 홈 네트워크 인터페이스에서 플래시를 활용하는 것은 큰 의미가 있으며 실제 제품에 최적화해 가는 과정에서 그 효과를 얼마나 유지할 수 있느냐에 대한 문제가 가장 중요한 이슈가 될 것이다.

스마트 기기를 이용한 무선호출용 DID구현에 대한 연구 (A Study on DID Implementation for Wireless Calling System using Smart-device)

  • In this time, as an industrial society developed to a welfare society, more and more people want their quality of lives upgraded and specially customized service by mass production/mass consumption. And it leads to an increase of requiring service. There're active developments and studies on various IT equipment as the requirement made IT devices used in service. In this paper, we try to design and realize radio paging DID by using smart device to be used as a receiver of a radio pager which is broadly used at face to face service. Firstly, we used MCU to design and implement Wireless Calling Gateway which change radio calling signal of ISM band to smart device. A receiver of wireless caller used original receiver module. Also it used bluetooth module to communicate with smart device. It was possible to have satisfactory communication since radio paging signal converter and smart device were linked in 3M. Secondly, to indicate various paging information delivered from a radio pager, we realized DID application program by using Smart PAD. As a result, we could indicate various information compared to an original receiver which only could indicate letters or numeric data. Secondly, we implemented the DID app for wireless calls that can display a variety of information sent from a wireless pager. Was implemented using the Smart Pad. As a result, it is shown that can display a variety of information than the existing receiver.

롤투롤 전자인쇄 건조공정의 공기역학적 특성분석 (Analysis on Aerodynamic Characteristics of Drying Process in R2R Printed Electronics)

  • Roll to Roll (R2R) is one of the most promising production technologies in the printed electronics such as OLEDs, e-paper, backplanes, RFID because this technology can save production cost and increase production speed. Printed electronics includes various processes such as printing, drying, winding, unwinding, and so on. In printed electronics R2R system, air-flotation oven is employed for drying process. Therefore, it is essential to introduce efficient and fast drying process when printing is finished. This paper considers the analysis of drying process in R2R that involves hot air flow. Air-flotation oven consists of non-contact supports and drying of coated web materials such as plastic films and paper. In this paper, experimental results and numerical analysis of pressure-pad air bar are investigated. The aerodynamic characteristics of pressure-pad air bar are numerically calculated using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approach. Then the measured values of the aerodynamic forces for air bars are compared with those of CFD analysis.
