간호여학생의 학업스트레스, 학과만족도, 대인관계 만족도가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Academic Stress, Department Satisfaction and Interpersonal Relationship Satisfaction on Academic Achivement in Female Nursing students)

  • 본 연구는 간호여대생을 대상으로 학업스트레스, 학과만족도, 대인관계 만족도가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구참여자는 B시의 간호여대생 159명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 이용하여 실수, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관계수, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 대상자의 학업성취도 평균 3.74±0.84점이었고, 일반적 특성에 따른 학업성취도의 차이는 진로계획(t=2.672, p=.008)에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 대상자의 학업성취도는 학업스트레스(r=-.371, p<.001)와 부적상관관계, 학과만족도(r=.472, p<.001), 대인관계 만족도(r=.301, p<.001)와 정적상관관계를 나타냈다. 대상자의 학업성취도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학업스트레스(β=-.262, p=.002), 학과만족도(β=.403, p<.001)로 나타났고, 설명력은 26.3%로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통하여 간호대학생의 학업성취도 향상을 위한 다양한 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다.

Characterization of Ethanol Fermentation Using Alginate Immobilized Thermotolerant Yeast Cells

  • To enhance the hyperproductive and low energy-consuming ethanol fermentation rate, the thermotolerant yeast S. cerevisiae RA-74-2 cells were immobilized. An efficient immobilization condition was proved to be $1.5{\%}$ (w/v) alginate solution, neutral pH and 20 h activation of beads. The fermentation characteristics and stability at various temperatures were examined as compared with free S. cerevisiae RA-74-2 cells. The immobilized cells had excellent fermentation rate at the range of pH 3-7 at 30-$42^{\circ}C$ in 15-$20{\%}$ glucose media. When the seed volume was adjusted to 0.12 (v/v) (6ml bead/50 ml medium), $11{\%}$ (w/v) ethanol was produced during the first 34 hand $12.15{\%}$ (w/v) ethanol [$95{\%}$ (w/v) of theoretical yield] during the first 60 h in $25{\%}$ glucose medium. In repetitive fermentation using a 2 litre fermentor, 5.79-$7.27{\%}$ (w/v) ethanol [76-$95{\%}$ (w/v) of theoretical yield] was produced during the 40-55 h in $15{\%}$ glucose media. These data suggested the fact that alginate beads of thermotolerant S. cerevisiae RA-74-2 cells would contribute to economic and hyperproductive ethanol fermentation at high temperature.

Chemical and Fatty Acid Composition of Longissimus Muscle of Crossbred Bulls Finished in Feedlot

  • This work was carried out to study the chemical and fatty acid composition of Longissimus muscle (LM) of crossbred young bulls finished in a feedlot. After weaning (at 8 months old), the bulls were kept in a feedlot for 180 days. The bulls were kept in individual pens and fed (twice daily) with corn silage, soybean hulls, cracked corn, limestone, urea and mineral salt. The bulls were slaughtered with a final weight of 464 kg. Forty bulls were used: 10 Caracu (CAR), 10 Canchim (CAN), 10 Caracu vs. Charolais (CCH) and 10 Canchim vs. Aberdeen Angus (CAA). The percentages of moisture, ash, crude protein, total lipids, as well as the fatty acid composition, were measured in the LM. The moisture percentage was lower (p<0.05) for bulls from CAA genetic group (71.2%) in comparison to bulls from CAR (74.2%), CAN (74.9%) and CCH (74.7%) genetic groups. On the other hand, there was no difference (p>0.05) among bulls from CAR, CAN and CCH genetic groups. Ash percentage was lower (p<0.05) for CAR bulls (0.96%) in comparison with the other genetic groups. There was no difference (p>0.05) among CAN, CCH and CAA genetic groups. Similarly, there was no difference (p>0.05) in crude protein among the different genetic groups. Total lipids percentage was higher (p<0.05) for CAA bulls (5.35%) and lower (p<0.05) for CAN (1.85%) and CCH (1.41%) genetic groups. Genetic group has little effect on the fatty acid composition of Longissimus muscle of bulls. However, CLA (C 18:2 c-9 t-11) percentage was higher (p<0.05) for CAR (0.33%) and CCH (0.37%) in comparison to CAN (0.27%) and CAA (0.29%) genetic groups. Saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, n-6 and n-3 percentages did not differ (p>0.05) among genetic groups. PUFA/SFA ratio ranged from 0.10 to 0.15, with no difference (p>0.05) among genetic groups. Similarly, n-6/n-3 ratio ranged from 12.6 to 16.3, without difference (p>0.05) among genetic groups.

첫 번째 골다공성 골절에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Risk Factors Associated with the First Osteoporotic Fracture)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to identify the factors associated with the first reported fracture in osteoporotic patients. Methods: One hundred and sixty-four patients who presented with osteoporosis at K hospital in G city, South Korea between July and September 2010 were participated in study. Modified Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey tool were used to measure participants' living habits. Computer aided nutritional analysis program (CAN-PRO) designed by Nutrition Information Center in the Korean Nutrition Society (2002) was used to analyze foods intake and to calculate the individual nutrients intake. Results: The risk of developing the first osteoporotic fracture was ten times higher in the patients between 65 to 74 years (OR=10.06, p=.010), and 28.41 times greater in those with increasing falls (OR=28.41, p<.001). Patients with higher bone marrow density (BMD) and higher consumption of animal protein diet had lower risks of developing the first osteoporotic fracture (OR=0.37, p=.011; OR=0.88, p=.040, respectively). Conclusion: Risk factors for osteoporotic fracture included the age from 65 to 74 years, an increase in falls, low animal protein consumption, and reduced BMD. Systematic educational program is needed to prevent fracture in osteoporotic patients.

백화점 및 대형할인매장의 냉장.냉동식품의 온도관리 (Temperature Control Freezers and Refrigerators in Department Stores & Supermarkets)

  • A study on temperature control of freezers & refrigerators in department stores and supermakets was conducted in Taegu are from July 15 through August 30 in order to determine how the temperature is effectively controled for food safety. Five departments and four supermarkets were selected randomly and fifty seven refrigerators and fifty nine freezers were inspected to observe temperature of thermometers and measure the temperature of the coolers by laser thermometer. The results are as follow; 1. Out of one hundred and sixteen coolers, eighty six (74.1%) were open type coolers and thirty (25.9%) were closed types (p<.05). 2. Twenty five (89.3%) of refrigerators and twenty three (82.1%) of freezers in department stores had thermometers and twenty seven refrigerators (93.1%) and twenty two (71%) of freezers in supermarkets had thermometers respectively (p<.01). 3. The measured temperatures of coolers increased in the afternoon to compared to the temperatures of them in the morning time (p<.01). The difference of temperatures of coolers between department stores and supermarkets was wider in the supermarkets and difference of temperatures of food items between refrigerators and freezers was wider in the refrigerators but the difference was not statistically significant. 4. The temperatures of forty four (84.6%) out of fifty two refrigerators within recommended ranges and those of forty two (93.3%) of forty five freezers higher than recommended ranges (p<.05).

Influence of carbon type and carbon to nitrogen ratio on the biochemical methane potential, pH, and ammonia nitrogen in anaerobic digestion

  • Organic waste used as a feedstock in the anaerobic digestion (AD), it includes carbon and nitrogen. Carbon and nitrogen have an effect on the various digestive characteristics during AD, however, the study is rare about those of the interaction. This study investigates the influence of carbon type and carbon to nitrogens (C/N ratios) on the AD characteristics of organic waste. Experimental treatments involved a combination of three carbon types with three C/N ratios. The AD tests were carried out using a 125-mL serum bottle at a constant temperature of 37℃ and moisture 95% for 18 days. Degradation pattern shows the difference among three-carbon treatments, the starch group was faster than other groups. Maximum methane production date was similar between starch (9.96 ± 0.05 day) and xylan group (10.0 ± 0.52 day), those of the cellulose group (14.6 ± 1.80 day) was slower than other groups (p < 0.05). The lag phase was only affected by the carbon type (p < 0.05). Ammonia nitrogen was mainly affected by nitrogen concentration regardless of carbon type (p < 0.05). This study showed that xylan is useful as feedstock in order to decrease the lag phase, and it showed that ammonia was independently affected by the nitrogen concentration.

Euro 5 경유 대형트럭의 유해대기오염물질 배출특성 (Emission Characteristics of Hazardous Air Pollutants from Diesel Heavy duty Trucks for Euro 5)

  • Emission characteristics of regulated pollutants (CO, NOx, HC and PM) and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) from diesel heavy duty trucks equipped with EGR+pDPF and SCR for Euro 5 emission standards were investigated using a chassis dynamometer. In the case of regulated pollutants, diesel heavy duty trucks with EGR+pDPF emitted 79% less CO than those with SCR. Also, those with the SCR emitted 36% less NOx than those with the EGR+pDPF. The results of VOCs have show that alkanes emissions for heavy duty trucks with the EGR+pDPF and the SCR have been higher than alkenes, cycloalkanes and aromatics. In the case of individual VOCs, the highest of propene emissions for 11.3~16.1% occupied. For aromatics group, benzene emissions are the highest percentage for 4.4~15.5%. In the future, the results of present study will provide basic data to set up HAPs emissions inventory for mobile source.
