A DNA sequence encoding the adr subtype preS2 region of hepatitis B virus envelope protein was fused to 5' end of lacZ gene yielding a plasmid pTSZ, in order to produce a preS2-$\beta$-galactosidase fusion protein. Serial deletions from 3' and 5' end of preS2 were constructed in plasmids, which were expressed and their antigenicities were examined with the monoclonal antibody H8. Deletions from amino and carboxy terminal to certain points did not affect the antigenicity, but the longer deletions destroyed the antigenicity. End points of deleted preS2 sequence were determined by DNA sequencing. As a result, each end of preS2 epitope was located in the region of amino acid residue 130-132 and 140-142, respectively. Residue 143 may be supplementary for antigenic epitope since the deletion from carboxy terminal to residue 143 revealed partial defect of antigenicity. In the interval of antigenic epitope the amino acid differences between adr and adw2 subtype occurred ar residue 130, 132, and 141. This result indicated that one or more of the three residues are responsible for the binding specificity of monoclonal antibody H8 to adr subtype preS2 fusion protein.
Effect of Ca/P mole ratio on the precipitates and powder properties of hydroxyapatite was investigated. Powder and precipitates of hydroxyapatite were synthesized by the reaction of Ca(NO3)2.4H2O and (NH4)2 HPO4 solutions at room temperature. The pH value and compositions (Ca/P mole ratio) in starting solutions were 11 and 1.64-1.79(or 1.85), respectively. Rodlike hydroxyapatite precipitates were agglomerated together. The average agglomerated particle size was ranged from 2-8${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Among compositions, the minimum agglomerated particle size was shown at the Ca/P mole ratio 1.75. CO2 was contained in hydroxyapatite powders and these ultrafine powders had poor crystallinity. The specific surface area and specific total pore volume of hydroxyapatite powders were 104-137$m^2$/g and 0.396-0.467cc/g, respectively. When the Ca/P mole ratio was 1.75, these values were the maximum. And water content increased with the Ca/P mole ratio(Ca/P mole ratio>1.67). In most cases, hydroxyapaite was stable to 130$0^{\circ}C$. However, in the case of Ca/P mole ratio 1.64, hydroxyapatite was changed to $\alpha$-whitlockite at 120$0^{\circ}C$.

This study aims to grasp the influence of a college student's academic emotions and the ability of interpersonal relations according to gender on the SNS addiction tendency. Data were collected through a self-reported structured questionnaire from 130 college students using convenient sampling methods from September 1 to October 31, 2015. The research result showed that in the case of male college students, only the ability of interpersonal relations (${\beta}=-.41$, p=.009) was understood as a variable with an influence on the SNS addiction tendency, having approximately 16% power of explanation (F=2.26, p=.049) after controlling for age, daily average duration of using SNS, subjectively-perceived level of dependence on SNS, and one's own level of using SNS. In the case of female college students, it was understood that the daily average duration of using SNS (${\beta}=.42$, p<.001) and positive academic emotions(${\beta}=.27$, p=.010) were variables having an influence on the SNS addiction tendency, having approximately 28% power of explanation (F=5.19, p<.001). Accordingly, to solve the psycho-social health problems related to male and female students' SNS addiction based on this research, it might be helpful for planning a program by taking into account the differences between the related variables according to gender.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the obesity index, body shape satisfaction and body shape esteem according to weight perception in elementary school students. Method: The data were collected by using a questionnaire and physical examination records. The subjects were comprised of 669 children, all 12-years old, obtained from five (5) different elementary schools located in Jechoen. Data were analyzed with frequency, percentages, Chi-square test, ANOVA using the SPSS program. Results: 12.5% of male students, 11.1% of female students perceived themselves obese. There were significant differences in obesity index according to weight perception in male students ($x^2$=140.47, p= .000), in female students ($x^2$=130.99, p= .000). The percentages corresponding to normal body weight were highest with students who thought themselves thin in male students and self-perceived normal in female students. But in female students, 23.3% of self-perceived thin students, 37.8% of students who thought themselves obese corresponded to normal body weight actually. There were significant differences in body shape satisfaction according to weight perception in male students($x^2$=140.47, p= .000), and in female students($x^2$=130.99, p= .000). The percentages of body shape satisfaction were highest with students who thought themselves normal in male students while and in female students, the students who thought themselves thin were highest. There were significant differences in body shape esteem according to weight perception for male students (F=17.67, p= .000), and in female students (F=13.95, p= .000). The mean scores of body shape esteem were highest with students who thought themselves normal in male students and thin in female students. The students who thought themselves obese were lowest. There were significant differences in weight perception according to father's body shape ($x^2$=13.72, p= .008) in male students and father's educational level ($x^2$=14.90, p= .021), mother's educational level ($x^2$=17.73, p= .007), mother's body shape ($x^2$=13.07, p= .011) in female students.

This study was undertaken to identify factors influencing care burden among spouses of young women afflicted with breast cancer. Totally, 130 spouses of young women with breast cancer, who were hospitalized or visited one of the three general hospitals in B city, were enrolled for the study. Data was collected between January 3 to March 31, 2016. The mean, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression were analyzed by applying the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Social support had the greatest impact on care burden (β=-0.41, p<0.001), followed by marital intimacy (β=-0.26, p=0.001), age (β=0.18, p=0.009) and perceived economic status (β=-0.14, p=0.039). The explanatory power was determined to be 42% (F=24.41, p<0.001). Our findings indicate the necessity to develop social support programs that help reduce the care burden of spouses of young women afflicted with breast cancer. Moreover, there is a need to develop differentiated programs by considering marital intimacy, age and perceived economic status.
It was intended to enhance the quality of festival and contribute as image of refined local festival by making an empirical and cross-sectional analysis of effect that the overall quality of service provided in the local festival had on users' satisfaction and revisit intention by using 2013-2014 two-year data for visitors who had enjoyed "Cheonan Heungtaryeong Dance Festival", best festival designated by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism after 2012. The results of analyzing a difference for 2 years are as follows. 1) Among social quality factors, both cultural effect and image effect showed a significant difference with p=.001 and p=.004. 2) Among process quality factors, food and souvenir showed a significant difference with p=.27. 3) Among physical quality factors, both convenience in connection with the visitors' enjoying the festival and facility arrangement didn't show difference between groups with p=.130 and .408. Finally, in the item of whether the overall service quality of festival had an effect on visitor satisfaction and whether visitor satisfaction with festival had an effect on revisit intention, each of these had p=.000. So, it was shown that there was statistically significant difference. In other words, it is proved that the enhancement of service quality lead to high satisfaction, and this arouses revisit intention and produces word of mouth effect.

Sixteen moderate atopic dermatitis patients were treated with applying toner and cream using estern medical herbs[Estern medical complex(Radix Glycyrrhizae, Radix Angelicae Dahuricae, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Fructus ponciri Seu Aurantii Immaturus, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Radix Puerariae, Rhizoma Corydalis), Cypress, Green tea, Radix Astragali, Red ginseng, Syrup ferment, Apple ferment filtrate] on the atopic area 2-3 times per day for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks of study, the result was a decrease in SCORAD index($26.9{\pm}11.8$ to $14.9{\pm}9.7$(p<0.05)), IgE($641.9{\pm}1294.6$ to $565.8{\pm}1076.8$), Eosinophil count($246.7{\pm}203.5$ to $203.3{\pm}130.7$(p<0.05)) and TEWL($16.7{\pm}5.1$ to $15.4{\pm}8.7$(p<0.05)). And skin hydration was increased($36.6{\pm}10.0$ to $44.0{\pm}10.3$(p<0.01)) maintaining skin pH level. The patient;s and physician's global assessment also improved. Therefore, estern medical herbs may play a role in treatment of atopic dermatitis.
The radioprotective effects of Melatonin and Ge-132 on acute hematopoietic injury was investigated in mice exposed to an acute whole-body radiation dose of 8 Gy. Melatonin was administered intraperitoneally 1 hour before irradiation at a dose of 200 mg/kg, and Ge-132 was administered orally from days 5 to 20 after irradiation at a dose 130 - 150 mg/kg/d. The radioprotective effects were evaluated for spleen using TUNEL assay, and in peripheral blood by counting lymphocyte & WBC. The 4 experimental groups (irradiation-only, melatonin pretreatment, Ge-132 posttreatment, and melatonin pretreatment plus Ge-132 posttreatment) were observed for survival analysis up to 30 days following irradiation. The apoptotic index (47.8% vs 45.9%, p=0.385), and the number of lymphocytes ($97/{\mu}{\ell}\;vs\;101/{\mu}{\ell}$, p=0.898) were not significantly different between the irradiation-only and the melatonin pretreatment group, But the number of WBCs ($147/{\mu}{\ell}\;vs\;306/{\mu}{\ell}$, p=0.010) was higher in the melatonin pretreatment group. The irradiation-only, melatonin, Ge-132, and melatonin plus Ge-132 treatments resulted in survival rate at 30 days of 21.4%, 100%, 35.7%, and 85.7%, respectively. The melatonin pretreatment group in survival analysis between groups was showed significantly higher survival than the irradiation-only(p=0.000), or Ge-132 posttreatment group(p=0.0003). These results indicate that the melatonin may have a potential as an effective radioprotector on acute hematopoietic syndrome following radiation exposure.
Considering the importance of cassava as food crops in humid tropics, the effect of feed moisture (20, 25%) and barrel temperature (110, $130^{\circ}C$) on physical properties (piece density, expansion, mechanical properties, color, water solubility index, water absorption index) and pasting properties of extruded cassava starch was investigated. The feed moisture used during extrusion processing had a significant effect on extrudates SME input, specific length and piece density at (p<0.05) while effect on cross-sectional expansion index, apparent elastic modulus and breaking strength in bending shown significantly at p<0.1. Furthermore, the interaction effect of feed moisture and barrel temperature gave a significantly affected the SME input and piece density (p<0.1), specific length (p<0.05) and on redness (p<0.01). The increase in water injection rate led to increase in piece density, apparent elastic modulus, breaking strength in bending, cold peak viscosity, breakdown and final viscosity and decrease in cross-sectional expansion index and specific length. It was found that the extrusion cooking process did not affect the value of color L, color b, water solubility index and water absorption index. Thus, the results of this study can be useful to some extent in developing extruded cassava starch as human and animal feeds.
