In order to investigate the effects of the mixing ratio of rice on Doenjang, Meju Doenjang and Koji Doenjang were prepared respectively with oaring mix ratio of raw materials. The following results were obtained, after fermentation of up to 3 months. Significant differences between the kinds of Doenjang were not found in moisture and salt contents. Protein solubility $(water\;soluble\;nitrogen/total\;nitrogen{\times}100)$ was $32{\sim}50%$ and $14{\sim}24%$ in Koji Doenjang and Meju Doenjang, respectively. Protein digestibility $(formol\;nitrogen/total\;nitrogen{\times}100)$ was similar to the tendency of protein solubility. Reducing sugar content was $5{\sim}6%$ in Meju Doenjang, while $19{\sim}21%$ in Koji Doenjang. As the mixing ratio of rice increased, reducing sugar content also increased. Sensory evaluation showed that Koji Doenjang was desirable than Meju Doenjang and the mixing ratio of 20% rice was recommened for Koji Doenjang.
This study was carried out to establish rational methodologies for the use of pesticide formulations to be sprayed after water-dilution. Hardness and electric conductivity of six major river water and ground water sampled from 52 sites in major rice-growing areas across the country ranged from 5 to 324 ppm(av. 90 ppm) and from 0.038 to 1.078 dS/m(av. 0.265 dS/m), respectively, which are acceptable for diluent water of pesticides. The pH changes in pesticide spray solutions with time after preparation mainly depended on the pH of the water used for pesticide dilution. The surface tensions of pesticide spray solutions reduced slightly with time after preparation, irrespective of kinds of pesticide formulations. Suspensibility of WPs became worse with an increase in the hardness and salt concentrations of diluent water, even though the degree was negligible. Emulsion stability of ECs became worse with an increase in hardness and salt concentrations of diluent water. Degradation rates of the active ingredients of pesticide spray solutions 3 days after preparation were less than 5%, regardless of mixing or non-mixing of two or more pesticides. Consequently, the spray solutions of most pesticides were usable until two to three days after preparation unless physical properties deteriorated. The tank-mixing order of EC and WP formulations did not make any differences in all the physical properties of pesticide spray solutions. However, the proper order for the tank-mixing of compatible pesticides was WP, WG, SC, EC, and SL, because the order is easy to prepare the pesticide spray solutions. The efficacy of pesticide spray solutions on the respective target pathogens and insect pests of rice plants three days after preparation was recorded over 95% of that of 0 day, which was almost the same as that of the solutions applied punctually after preparation.

To recycle the electric arc furnace (EAF) dust as a ceramic raw materials, the leaching concentrations of heavy metals (Zn, Pb, Cr, Cd) were analysed with various pH and mixing ratios for EAF dust and EAF dust-clay mixtures. The evaporation amounts of the some heavy metals were evaluated by measuring their total concentrations in the sintered bodies of EAF dust-clay mixtures with various mixing ratio and sintering temperature. Toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) test was conducted for evaluating the chemical stabilities of the heavy metal elements. Leaching concentrations of heavy metal ions shows minimum leaching concentration at the pH 10. Evaporation amount of heavy metals in the sintered bodies were evaluated for the mixtures of pH 10 depenidng on mixing ratio and sintering temperature. Evaporation of heavy metal components were increased with increasing the sintering temperature and contents of the EAF dust. The evaporation of the heavy metal components in EAF dust was effectively suppressed by increasing the clay content. The leaching concentrations of heavy metal components were decreased with increasing clay content and temperature.
The objectives of this research are to investigate the proper coagulation conditions which are a type and doses of coagulants, mixing conditions (velocity gradients and mixing times), pH and so on through Jar-test, to evaluate the flux variations, permeate, backwashing according to characteristics of pretreatment of the wastewater by means of MF membranes for river maintenance water reuse. The effluent water from B-city K-sewage treatment plant are used for this research. Turbidity and suspended solids(SS) are 14.2 NTU and 10.4 mg/L respectively. This condition causes fouling for membrane process. The flux decline could be reduced when coagulation pretreatment was carried out. Optimal coagulations PAC which are commonly used in the sewage treatment plant was observed in this research. The results indicate that an optimal coagulation dose and pH are 80 ppm and pH of 7 respectively, but coagulation efficiency was lower at strong acid or strong base. Results showed that continuous and steady operations in membrane separation process by means of the effective removal of organic matter and turbidity with coagulation pretreatment of sewage secondary effluent were achieved.
The principal objective of this study was to determine the optimal mixing conditions of three different amounts of small black soybeans, sugar, and plain yogurt, for the preparation of a small black soybean smoothie. The experimental design utilized herein was based on the Central composite design methodology of response surface, which included 16 experimental points, including 2 replicates for the small black soybeans, sugar, and plain yogurt. The physiochemical and sensory properties of the test were measured, and these values were applied to the mathematical models. A canonical form and perturbation plot showed the influence of each ingredient on the mixed final product. The L value and a value decreased with increasing quantities of small black soybeans, but the b values increased with greater additions of small black soybeans. Sweetness increased with increasing amount of added sugar. The results of sensory evaluation showed very significant values for color (p<0.01), taste (p<0.05) and overall quality (p<0.05) in the predicted model. As a result, the optimum formulations by numerical and graphical methods were calculated as follows: small black soybean 79.46 g, plain yogurt 275.07 g, sugar 21.20 g.
This paper studies flashover voltage and surface corona loss of A.C and D.C in the mixed gas of air and SF$_{6}$ for solid insulators P.V.C, arcylic, glass and bakelite in two cases. In one case, those solids are covered with transformer oil and the other case, those solids are not covered with it. 1) The flashover voltage for each solids in SF$_{6}$ is more than three times compared with that in the air. The flashover voltage for P.V.C is the highest and then arcylic, glass, bakelite in a decreasing order. 2) The more the amount of SF$_{6}$ in the mixing ratio, the less corona loss. The P.V.C shows the least amount of corona loss and the bakelite the largest. 3) Compared with the corona loss of positive polarity and the negative polarity, the former has less corona loss than the latter. 4) The more the number of flashover discharge, the less insulation of each solids, but in case of bakelite, insulation almost vanishes after a couple of discharge. 5) When each insulator is covered with transformer oil, the flashover voltage generally increases and the corona loss decreases.eases.

We fabricated white light-emitting organic electroluminescent device which have a mixed single emitting layer containing poly(N-vinylcarbazole)[PVK], tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)aluminum[Alq3] and poly(3-hexylthiophene)[P3HT] and investigated the emission properties of it. We expect to obtain a blue light from PVK, green light from Alq3 and red light from P3HT The fabricated device emits white light over 18V with slight orange light. We think that the energy transfer in a mixed layer occurred from PVK to $Alq_3$ and P3HT resulted in decreasing the blue light intensity from PVK. With mixing of N, N'-diphenyl-N, N'-(3-methylphenyl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4, 4'-diamine[TPD], hole transport material, to the emitting layer, the luminance intensity of device was increased 50 times than that of the device which not contain TPD. We find that the efficiency of the white light electroluminescent device can be improved by injecting electron more effectively and blue light need to improve the color purity of white light.
The development of a general hospital has a close connection with the trend of the society in general and it flows to the ways that satisfies the demanded value of the time. Therefore, various internal changes have occurred since a hospital has built. The changes is appearing through the time not only in the quantitative changes, but also in functional changes and correlations between each department. This study focused on these changes, and observed the St. Mary's Hospital - one of the major hospitals - which is constructed in 1980's. And then, it was divided into the D/T, O.P.D and ward as function that focused on the time of hospital's establishment (1980), the present (2006), and new hospital (2009) to observe the changing aspect of the function and department. As a result, according as age passes, this study shows function of each department is mixed. Among the D/T, O.P.D and ward, mixing functions of O.P.D is most notable. The mixing function brings changes in hospital's arrangement type. In the past, verticality style hospital was evaded, but recently verticality style hospital is appearing. Through this study, it is expected to forecast the new aspects of hospital and apply it to the new project.
An analysis of the bonding situation in CaM₂P₂ (M=Fe, Ni) with ThCr₂Si₂ structure is made in terms of DOS and COOP plots. The main contributions to covalent bonding are due to M-P and P-P interactions in both compounds. Particularly, the interlayer P-P bonding by variation in the transition metal is examined in more detail. It turns out that the shorter P-P bonds in CaNi₂P₂ form as a result of the decreasing electron delocalization into ${{\sigma}_p}^*$ of P₂ due to the weaker bonding interaction between the metal d and ${{\sigma}_p}^*$ as the metal d band is falling from Fe to Ni.

Purpose: The shrinkage of dental resin cement may cause several clinical problems such as distortion that may jeopardize the accurate fit to the prepared tooth and internal stress within the restorations. It is important to know the polymerization shrinkage-strain of dental resin cement to reduce clinical complications. The purpose of this study was to investigate the polymerization shrinkage-strain kinetics of six commercially available dental resin cements. Material and methods: Three self-cure resin cements (Fujicem, Superbond, M-bond) and three dual-cure resin cements (Maxcem, Panavia-F, Variolink II) were investigated. Time dependent polymerization shrinkage-strain kinetics of the materials were measured by the Bonded-disk method as a function of time at $23^{\circ}C$, with values particularly noted at 1, 5, 10, 30, 60, 120 min after mixing. Five recordings were taken for each materials. The data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA and Scheffe post hoc test at the significance level of 0.05. Results: Polymerization shrinkage-strain values were 3.72%, 4.19%, 4.13%, 2.44%, 7.57%, 2.90% for Fujicem, Maxcem, M bond, Panavia F, Superbond, Variolink II, respectively at 120 minutes after the start of mixing. Panavia F exhibited maximum polymerization shrinkage-strain values, but Superbond showed minimum polymerization shrinkage-strain values among the investigated materials (P < .05). There was no significant differences of shrinkage-strain value between Maxcem and M bond at 120 minutes after the start of mixing (P > .05). Most shrinkage of the resin cement materials investigated occurred in the first 30 minutes after the start of mixing. Conclusion: The onset of polymerization shrinkage of self-cure resin cements was slower than that of dual-cure resin cements after mixing, but the net shrinkage strain values of self-cure resin cements was higher than that of dual-cure resin cements at 120 minutes after mixing. Most shrinkage of the dental resin cements occurred in the first 30 minutes after mixing.
