When a slope tractor works on the slope land, it travels usually along the contour and slope line. In that case, the efficiency of work generally decreases and the safety of the operator caused by the overturn of the tractor should be considered. Maintaining the tractor body being horizontal during the travel is crucial to solve problems. To overcome such a problem, an automatic leveling control system for slope tractor has been developed. The system composed of sensor for measuring rolling and pitching inclination of the slope tractor chassis, controller, hydraulic control system and mechanism. The limit angle of the leveling control was set up to be ${\pm}15^{\circ}C$ for rolling, ${\pm}7^{\circ}C$ for pitching. The proposed control and hydraulic power system was implemented to the prototype slope tractor. This paper shows results about development of the automatic leveling mechanism and response properties for slope tractor.

Roadside barriers are facility for preventing cars from out of path, and 7 classes of barrier are prescribed in criteria of road grades and speed limit, etc. However, overload and overspeed are increased according to improvement of vehicle performance, and falling over frequently occur in vehicle accident related in barriers. Therefore, enhancement of the existing design criteria of roadside barriers is demanded. In this research, vehicle crash simulation was carried out, and the condition for fracture of roadside barriers and vehicle overturn was evaluated in order to verify the defence performance of the barriers, which are SB5 steel barrier and SB6 concrete barrier adapted mainly to highway.

Objectives : The objective of this study was to examine the acupoint location of Sameumgyo (SP6) from classic literatures. Methods : A review of SP6 acupoint location on 13 classics of acupuncture and moxibustion was performed. Results : Differences of SP6 acupoint location were found by classics of acupuncture and moxibustion. 9 classics of acupuncture and moxibustion said the acupoint of SP6 was located on 3 cun above the tip of the medial malleoulus, however acupoint location of SP6 was described on 8 cun above the tip of the medial malleoulus by 4 classics of acupuncture and moxibustion. Conclusions : Through a classic literature review, it was possible for the explanation that the location of SP6 was 8 cun above the tip of the medial malleoulus, but it was not intended to overturn the theory of 3 cun above the tip of the medial malleoulus regarding location of SP6. This study may be the starting point for future experimental or clinical studies for exploring new acupoint, and is expected to follow up.

The purpose of this study is not only to widen and deepen the understanding of external environments of hairstyle but also to provide the basis of understanding and perspicacity as to the hairstyle which will be created under the influence of new music by contemplating distinctions between Glam Fashion and Punk Fashion of 1970s and by comparing and analyzing distinctions between Glam Hairstyle and Punk Hair Style of 1970s. As the method of this study, first of all four common factors, which are resistance, androgynous, beauty of ugliness and pursuit of pleasure through persona, were able to be ed from both Glam Fashion and Punk Fashion of 1970s, and then by using that factors as analyzing instrumental frame, the above two hairstyles were compared and analyzed through photographic materials in this study. According to the results of comparing and analyzing two hairstyles above, in Glam Hairstyle, the androgynous character is the most remarkable distinction. They tried to overturn the gender role by challenging the traditional color and form of hairstyle. In funk Hairstyle, the resistance is the most prominent distinction. They expressed their group identity resisting a pre-existing generation by putting on threatened and aggressive hairstyle.

In the society where contradiction of modernism in 20th century was vividly exposed and paradigm was being changed from text culture into visual culture according to the development of technology, Benjamin tried to practically suggest solutions for socio-historical problems he was facing. In contrast with Adorno who criticized cultural industry, Benjamin found out the possibility to overturn existing value order and innovate reality in mass art media having emerged according to the development of new technology. And such Utopian possibility appears in his thought on the early Disney animation even if it is fragmentary. This thesis reviews how Utopian possibility was realized in the early Disney animation, which had been thought by Benjamin.

Steep rock slope with water-filled tension crack will happen to overturn around the toe of the slope under seismic loading. This failure type is completely different from the common toppling failure occurring in anti-dipping layered rock mass slopes with steeply dipping discontinuities. This paper presents an analytical approach to determine the seismic factor of safety against overturning for an intact rock mass slope with water-filled tension crack considering horizontal and vertical seismic coefficients. This solution is a generalized explicit expression and is derived using the moment equilibrium approach. A numerical program based on discontinuous deformation analysis (DDA) is adopted to validate the analytical results. The parametric study is carried out to adequately investigate the effect of horizontal and vertical seismic coefficients on the overall stability against overturning for a saturated rock slope under two water pressure modes. The analytical results show that vertically upward seismic inertia force or/and second water pressure distribution mode will remarkably decrease the slope stability against overturning. Finally, several representative design charts of slopes also are presented for the practical application.

This research is an effort to clarify the causes associated with the 'failure' of public housing projects built in the 20th century. Two of the most brutal symbol of failure were selected: the Pruitt-Igoe built in St. Louis, U.S.A. and the Bijlmermeer in the south of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Many critics have attributed the problems of the selected housing projects to architectural failure, and proposed a series of new approaches to architectural design. The claim that many housing projects 'failed' because they were based on an agenda for social reform, derived from the ideas of the CIAM, presupposes that architects were in the position of authority over providing housing for the poor. This research tries to overturn the belief of architectural community which has placed the responsibility for the failure of public housing on designers. The sense of isolation and powerlessness felt by the residents, and the social problems attendant on those feelings, may be reinforced by design but is not caused by Modern Architecture. It should be stressed that the political-economic and social context is more significant than the architectural design for the failure of public housing projects such as the Pruitt-Igoe and the Bijlmermeer.

Retro fashion can be defined as re-applied and re-created fashion style where a certain period or a specific style in the past would be recalled. As a unique cultural phenomenon, the 'retro' style has affected not only our daily lives, but also the fashion industry. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between the nostalgia and consumer purchase behaviors of retro fashion products in Korea. The data was collected using a self-administered online survey of 224 respondents. The results show that the sub-elements of nostalgia include personal and historical nostalgia. The personal nostalgia positively influences consumers' purchase intention of retro fashion products, whereas historical nostalgia negatively affects retro purchase intention. Interestingly, the moderating effects of self-connection and age of respondents on the relationship between nostalgia and retro purchase intention was identified. The findings highlight the potential role of retro fashion on modern society, as it can overturn any concerns people may have about the gloomy future and the harsh reality.

Thorpe scale analysis was performed using two sets of 25-hour-long hourly CTD data. Raw density profiles collected on the continental slope of the southwestern East Sea were post-processed to reduce instrument noises and measurement errors. Density inversions were detected by applying the overturn ratio test proposed by Gargett and Garner (2008). The value of $K_z$ below the main thermocline estimated with the Osborn parameterization was $5.3{\times}10^{-4}(1.1{\times}10^{-4})m^2s^{-1}$ and that with the Shih parameterization was $5.9{\times}10^{-5}(2.4{\times}10^{-5})m^2s^{-1}$during the spring (neap) tidal period. This result suggests that internal tides can enhance vertical mixing in the observation region.

Fashion style in movies delivers their image the atmosphere and becomes the means for containing the personality, spiritual world and inner thinking the characters in the movies and including its plot. When the American new cinema emerged in late 1960's and early 1970's in the American movie history, the new left wing which wants to overturn adult generation and the hippie culture which wants to escape from an existing system also emerged. Therefore, this study analyzed the fashion style in the movie 'Easy Rider (1969)', i.e. the representative new American movie which showed the isolation from adult generation and negative realities of the American society. From the movie, we can understand the young generation after the Vietnam war, i.e. baby boom generation, pursued the hippie culture as their young culture. With their strong self-consciousness, they formed their own lifestyle and values which are different from those of adult generation, and we can understand clothes were used as a tool to express their value system.
