As part of a new riverside development project, various types of bridges and covering bridges were constructed in natural river estuary; and these structures got in the way of the flow of the river, which has resulted in a topographical change in natural river estuary, decrease in the gross sectional area of flow, and rise of water level. As a result, surrounding areas are suffering from damages due to overflowing of river over the bank. This study was designed to provide basic data for efficient design of structures, by examining resistance and characteristics in the surrounding areas of bridges based on changes in the span length ratio.

일부 콘크리트댐들의 경우 이상홍수 발생시 상 하류부 수위차가 크지 않은 상태로 월류가 발생하는 특징이 있으며, 치수능력 증대사업을 수행하여 안전성을 확보하기에는 지리적, 경제적인 문제로 어려움이 많아 현실적인 대책 수립이 어려우므로 월류가 발생한 상태에서도 안전성이 확보될 수 있는가에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 한국시설안전공단(2007)에서는 기존 댐의 수문학적 안전성 평가를 필댐과 콘크리트댐으로 구분 적용할 필요성과, 콘크리트댐의 경우 상태에 따라 일부 월류를 허용할 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구를 수행하였으며, 본 연구는 콘크리트 댐의 구조적 안전성 검토의 평가방법으로 수행하게 되었다.

In this study we propose the improvement countermeasure of disaster prevention by analyzing the damage cause and issue point from examination by Typhoon "maemi" in Kyongsangnamdo region. The main damage cause by Typhoon "maemi" in this region is the rising of water level in river and the overflowing of bank. The basic countermeasure is executing the disaster policy enforcement for the improvement of agriculture infrastructure facilities.

A continuous growth method (Orr's method) were developed to grow LiNbO3 single crystals. The optimum growth condition established are as follows; When the controlled temperature of a platinum crucible were 1190℃∼1210℃, the pulling rate was 2 mm/hr, the feeding rate was 1.5∼2.5 g/hr, and the rotation speed was 20 rpm. The phase and growth orientation of the grown LiNbO3 crystals wer characterized by a X-ray diffraction method. The overflowing phenomena, which induced cracking into the grown crystal during the process, was effectively suppressed by the control of the growth parameter.

This article aims at clarifying the formation and accumulation of the "phlegm" in the body. If the phlegm can't be dispelled, it would do great harm to the body health in many aspects, even leading to various diseases which are complex and hard to cure. "phlegm blocking the orifices of the heart", "Gi(氣) activities blocking", "the blood vessels choking", "muscular striae[肌腠] overflowing", " tumor accumulated", "inveterate phlegm loss the path", are the outstanding pathogenic characteristics of the "phlegm". Ancient and modern physicians accumulated rich experiences on preventing and treating the phlegm diseases. Those are worth excavating, organizing and clarifying deeply for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the phlegm diseases efficiently.

Power Quality and Reliability are becoming important issues for critical and sensitive loads. This paper describes the Line Interactive UPS with the function of Voltage Compensator that is 'Line interactive Dynamic Voltage Restorer(LIDVR). The main purpose of a LIDVR is to compensate for voltage sag(dip), outage and overvoltage. The overall system consists of three controller 1) current controller with prediction 2) voltage controller and 3) proposed variable DC LINK controller. The variable DC LINK control technique using the LIDVR protects DC LINK from overflowing the input current. The simulation results are depicted in this paper to show the effect of this proposed system.

This study analyses on the history of uniform convergence, and discusses its educational implications. First, this study inspects 'overflowing of the Euclidean methodology' which was suggested by Lakatos as a cause of tardy appearance of uniform convergence, and reinterprets that cause in the perspective of 'symbolization'. Second, this study looks into the emergence of uniform convergence of Seidel and Weierstrass in this viewpoint of symbolization. As a result, of analysis, we come to know that the definition of uniform convergence had been changed into the theory of 'domain and graph' from that of 'point and function value' by the location change of the quantifier. As these results, this study puts forward an educational suggestion from an angle of epistemological obstacle, concept definition and concept image.

Most of the Chinese immigrants in the 19th century migrated to the eastern part of the Malay Peninsula via Penang. At that time, the British colonial government recruited Chinese immigrants to supply Chinese labor. The influence of the Chinese in Penang has been greatly increased due to the continuous influx of Chinese immigrants. Specifically, looking at Chinese immigration, from 1805 to 1815, a large number of Chinese labor migrants, from about 500 to 1,000, arrived from Macao to Penang, Malaysia, and they were all contract migrants. In the late 19th century, most of the Chinese in the Malay Peninsula were resettlement from Penang and Singapore. At that time, the Malay Peninsula desperately needed to clear the jungle for farm development, and thus a large-scale labor force was needed. Therefore, the Chinese labor force that was overflowing in Penang and Singapore was able to meet the demand for labor in the Malay Peninsula.

Historically, the approach to any reconstructive challenge, whether intentionally or intuitively, can be seen to follow distinct guidelines that could aptly be called "reconstructive metaphors." These have been intended to inform us as to the "what, "when" and "where" this attempt can best be achieved. Yet the "how" or means to accomplish this goal, usually also intuitively well understood, in a similar vein can now be expressed to be within our "reconstructive toolbox." The latter will distinctly mirror our individuality and contain not only the various hardware that we deem essential, but also the means to access whatever technology we may be comfortable with. No toolbox, even if overflowing will ever be full, as potential options and the diversity they represent surely approaches infinity. But the truly excellent reconstructive surgeon will know when their toolbox is in any way lacking, and fears not remedying that deficiency even if the talents of another colleague must be sought, so as always to ensure that the patient will obtain the best appropriate treatment!
