The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed the landscape of knowledge and information services that public libraries around the world have been providing since modern times. In particular, as social distancing has become routine, the contraction of cultural activities and the shift to online platforms have negatively impacted library visitation and use services, greatly reducing borrowing and reading, use of spaces and facilities, interlibrary loan services, program operations, and outreach services. Therefore, this study investigated and analyzed the current status of services provided by public libraries in Korea and abroad in response to COVID-19, and proposed practical ways to improve and expand services in response to COVID-19 based on the results of a survey of librarians' perceptions. Specifically, these include improving the online reservation system for reading and borrowing services and developing and providing various outreach services, acquiring and expanding electronic resources, expanding online program services (reading, culture, lifelong learning, etc.), strengthening library services for vulnerable populations, providing information portal services related to new infectious diseases, strengthening facilities and space provision services, preparing infectious disease response guidelines, and providing education and training to strengthen librarians' capabilities.

According to a comparison study of international academic achievements, Korean students showed high academic achievements in science and mathematics, whereas their learning motivation appeared relatively low. Therefore, this work developed the robot-based STEM integrated education program reflecting an engineering class model. The title of the program is determined as 'animals' which are included in one section of the fourth grade science curriculum, are friendly to students, and are effective for robot application. Robot-based STEM program is consisted of three areas: robot education, subject-related course learning, and engineering education. The STEM program was reviewed by 14 teachers. The study result presented that regardless of knowledge of robot, most teachers gave positive response to program goal, composition of contents, application of robot.

This study analyzed 138 multicultural programs from 40 libraries during the last two years. The study compares multicultural programs running in Korean libraries with those from American and Canadian libraries which have a long history of multicultural societies. The results are listed below. There is a need for long-running multicultural programs that address the needs of its users even from the planning stages. Programs should include out-reach based running methods, daily life based subjects and contents, and differentiated approaches for different levels and ages of users.

The purpose of this study was to explore the role of home economics education in a low fertility society in the contexts of curriculum contents, community involvement, public policy participation, and advocacy. The results showed following. First, home economics is a key subject matter in dealing with a low fertility problem among 2007 revised curriculum for secondary education level. Home economics curriculum contents was systematically organized through 8th grade to 10th grade in 4 units, where as curricula contents of social studies, science, and moral education deal with a low fertility problem in partial. Second, it is proposed to be active in community involvement incorporating with secondary education, college education, and lifelong education by service learning, outreach program, and extension program. Third, public policy and advocacy participation of home economics teachers are crucial for transformative leadership and practice in enhancing the condition of individual, family, and community wellbeing such as a low fertility problem. To perform this role of home economics education, home economics teachers should participate in developing curricula and teaching materials for the extra curricula activity, creative experiencing activity, and service learning activity. Home economics teacher educators also should actively involved in outreach program and extension program as well as in public policy advocacy activity for solving a low fertility problem.

The use of records has been regarded as the ultimate goal of preserving records, and reference services are considered key tasks in records management. Particularly in Korea where the importance of archives and records management is not recognized sufficiently, we need to help the public recognize the importance of institutions, managing archives, and archives kept in the archives, and create new uses. In order for archives to notify archives, institutions and managing archives to potential users, they can use publications, exhibitions and education programs. In foreign countries, services such as public programs and outreach services have already been being executed by archives in order to publicize the archives actively to the public, and various supports are provided so that people can use archives in educational activities. What is more, publishing and exhibition programs are also linked to education, which can increase the use of archives and promote archives culture. Thus, archives play important cultural and educational roles. As archives' roles are being expanded and local archives are being established compulsorily in Korea, archives should play their roles not just as administrative agencies collecting official documents but also as cultural and educational institutions providing various forms of information and education. Creating new demands for important archives by notifying such archives through public programs approaching users, they should find ways for laying the ground for their existence. The objectives of this study are to look for the method of public program operation suitable for the Korean situation, to define abilities and roles required to archives as program planners, and ultimately to increase the use of archives and contribute to the settlement of archives culture.

Despite the continuous efforts of academic libraries to develop various user-centered outreach programs, services and new processes, library anxiety still remains a threat to university students' full use of academic library resources. Meanwhile, a new generation of students, called the "Net Generation," has grown up with developed information and communication technology enter university and must be persuaded to turn to the library. To serve this new group of patrons better, libraries need to adopt new technologies. However, since an initial introduction cost and labor efforts are involved in the integration of the technology, identifying the right time for introduction and the right scope of innovation is essential but difficult. The study proposes a not-yet-well-known, novel experimental design, Regression Point Displacement (RPD), to evaluate an orientation program applying Mobile Augmented Reality (MAR) for STEM students. Since this RPD design requires only one treatment group, the model is expected to be the incomparable and rational way to evaluate the new MAR technology. In the context of an informal learning experience, the findings of the study will determine the effectiveness of an orientation employing the MAR technology.

I will introduce robotics education, Novel Engineering, STOMP have hosted in CEEO at Tufts University. CEEO is a leading center for Robotics Education in all over the USA. So far lots of universities and centers have adopted these programs. CEEO have hosted many workshops for students and teachers every summer vacation. And Simple Robotics course is required for every Engineering department freshmen. Novel Engineering(NE) is not familiar to us. I think that NE will be a good tool for integrating reading literacy and engineering. When teachers design a engineering class, members of STOMP help teachers achieve the goals of class. Software Education has been widely spreaded for last several years in South Korea. If our country adopts these programs government-widely. I think that It will be able to contribute to foster SW-talented persons.

Since its early stages, the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has posed immense challenges in meeting the public health and healthcare and social care needs of migrants. In line with other reports from United Kingdom and United States, data from Sweden's health authority show that migrants have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Following the World Health Organization's statements, as well as the European Public Health Association's call for action, several centres in Sweden's most populated areas have activated tools to implement national plans for community outreach through initiatives targeting migrants and ethnic minority groups. Unconventional means should be promoted to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on migrants and the health of the public at large.

The purpose of this paper was to explore delay avoiding measures and strategies. The paper was based on previous work of authors on finding delay causes. Firstly, the paper has discussed about delay avoidance measures prescribed by the previous work. As the previous study identified five main causes of construction delays, various measures and strategies to overcome those delay problems have been discussed in sequence in the last sections. Major delay prevention strategies are: involving stakeholders in the project decisions, outreach program, realistic time and resource estimation, try to adjust the triple constraints of time, cost and scope, ensure fair and complete disclosure of information at an early stage of the construction project, contractor, itself should inquire about patent design errors prior to submitting its bid, owner should include in its contract with the consultant an indemnity (protection) clause etc.

Bleeding, is one of the most common postoperative complications after palatoplasty in patients with cleft palate. The purpose of this article is to present our experience using a Foley catheter balloon for perioperative palatoplasty bleeding management. A retrospective data analysis was performed for all cases of palatoplasty performed by the author from 1999 to 2012 that experienced postoperative hemorrhage. These patients were managed by utilizing posterior nasal compression with a Foley catheter balloon for the period 2006 to 2012. We have compared two methods (we use before 2006 the reoperative method) with regards to the later development of palatal fistulae and cases with reoperative hemostasis. The study found no statistically significant differences between the conventional and proposed method in relation to the development of palatal fistulae (P=0.7). These findings suggest that nasal packing using a Foley balloon is a safe and effective method for postoperative bleeding control after palatoplasty in patients with cleft palate.
