A feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of supplementing MAXIMINERAL(72)(MM), a cornmercial product of Ca, Mg-bentonite, to the broiler diet. One thousand hatched rnale broiler chickens(Cobb strain) were randomly assigned to 4 dietary treatments; MM 0% (control), MM 1%, MM 2%, and MM 2% + tricalciurnphosphate (CaP) 0.5%. Each treatment had 5 replicates of 50 birds each. Birds were grown on floor and fed ad libitum for 5 wk. Through the whole period, weight gain and feed intake were not significantly different among treatments. However, weight gain of MM 2% + CaP 0.5% group was highest and orthogonal contrast showed that the feed intake during the period of 0~2 wk was significantly(p<0.01) lower in MM supplemented groups than the control. Feed efficiency (feed /gain) of MM supplemented groups were significantly better than the control. Feed efficiency of the control was significantly(p<0.05) higher than MM 1% and MM 2% + CaP 0.5% groups but not different from MM 2% group. Contents of ash, Ca and P of tibia were not significantly different among treatments but that of P tended to be low in MM 1% and MM 2% groups. There were significant (p<0.01) differences in plasma alkaline phosphatase (AP) activity among treatments. The highest AP activity was shown in MM 2% + CaP 0.5% group followed by the control, MM 2% and MM 1% group. It was concluded that supplernentation of MM at the level of 1% of broiler diet significantly improves feed efficiency and adjustment of P level rnay further improve the performance of the broiler chickens.
Objective: In the present study, an liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) metabolomics approach was performed to investigate potential biomarkers of milk production in high- and low-milk-yield dairy cows and to establish correlations among rumen fluid metabolites. Methods: Sixteen lactating dairy cows with similar parity and days in milk were divided into high-yield (HY) and low-yield (LY) groups based on milk yield. On day 21, rumen fluid metabolites were quantified applying LC/MS. Results: The principal component analysis and orthogonal correction partial least squares discriminant analysis showed significantly separated clusters of the ruminal metabolite profiles of HY and LY groups. Compared with HY group, a total of 24 ruminal metabolites were significantly greater in LY group, such as 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid, carboxylic acids, carboxylic acid derivatives (L-isoleucine, L-valine, L-tyrosine, etc.), diazines (uracil, thymine, cytosine), and palmitic acid, while the concentrations of 30 metabolites were dramatically decreased in LY group compared to HY group, included gentisic acid, caprylic acid, and myristic acid. The metabolite enrichment analysis indicated that protein digestion and absorption, ABC transporters and unsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis were significantly different between the two groups. Correlation analysis between the ruminal microbiome and metabolites revealed that certain typical metabolites were exceedingly associated with definite ruminal bacteria; Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, and Synergistetes phyla were highly correlated with most metabolites. Conclusion: These findings revealed that the ruminal metabolite profiles were significantly different between HY and LY groups, and these results may provide novel insights to evaluate biomarkers for a better feed digestion and may reveal the potential mechanism underlying the difference in milk yield in dairy cows.

In this paper we studied a conventional system and propose a new decoding scheme for Space-time Frequency Code with Interleaved System. We also addressed the quasi orthogonal function with Jacket matrices in modern 3GPP LTE uplinked advance system. We also introduce the Partial Interference Cancellation (PIC) group decoding which provides a framework to adjust the complexity-performance tradeoff by choosing the sizes of the information symbols groups.

In this paper, a simple and efficient three cell based clustered-cell coordination is proposed with well hewn zero-forcing beamforming (ZF-BF) with a semi-orthogonal user selection (SUS) as transmission and scheduling scheme. For a modified Wyner's channel model with two classes of user groups for a hexagonal cellular system, the upper bound of asymptotic sum rate scaling of ZF-BF in a proposed coordination is shown to be proportional to the number of transmit antennas and double logarithms of the number of users. The numerical results verify the efficiency of the proposed cell coordination. It is also numerically shown that ZF-BF with the SUS in CCCT actually achieves the upper bound of asymptotic sum rate sum rate scaling.

This paper proposes an integer frequency offset estimation scheme robust to timing offset for the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based cognitive radio (CR) systems. The proposed scheme exploits a feature that a sample distance between a continual pilot and a scattered pilot nearest to it in an OFDM symbol belongs to one of predetermined distances. First after calculating a correlation value of every continual pilot and its nearest scattered pilot. Then, it is divided into several groups according to the sample distances. Since correlation values with the same sample distance undergo the same effect of the timing offset, the effect of the timing offset can be removed by re-correlating these correlation values. From the simulation results we can confirm that the proposed algorithm estimates the integer frequency offset with the robustness to the timing offset when compared to a conventional scheme.

We propose relay selection schemes using STBC (Space Time Block Coding) technique in OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)-based wireless systems. The proposed schemes select the optimum relay having the maximum instantaneous equivalent channel gain among multiple candidate relays. Also, in order to reduce the system overhead, a symbol grouping method which groups some amount of symbols before selecting the optimum relay is proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed relay selection schemes can obtain more selection diversity gain as the number of selectable relay candidates increases. Furthermore, the proposed scheme with the symbol grouping can reduce system overhead without any degradation of the performance in fading channels with low frequency selectivity.

The plucking season of green tea leaves is one of the important parameters that decide their metabolic diversity, quality, and prices. The effects of plucking sghlwleasons on green tea metabolites were investigated through metabolite profiling by $^1H$ NMR spectroscopy. The orthogonal projection on latent structure-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) showed clear discriminations of green teas by three different grades depending on plucking seasons: Ujeon, Sejak, and Jungjak. These results suggested that the nine peak groups could be used for diagnostics for identification of high quality Ujeon grade of green tea.
Let G be a compact semialgebraic group and M a semi-algebraic G-set. We prove that there exists a semialgebraic slice at every point of M. Moreover M can be covered by finitely many semialgebraic G-tubes. As an application we give a different proof that every semialgebraic G-set admits a semi algebraic G-embedding into some semialgebraic orthogonal representation space of G, which has been proved in [15].

Previous isotropy analysis of a caster wheeled omnidirectional mobile robot(COMR) has been made under the assumption that the steering link offset is equal to the caster wheel radius. Nevertheless, many practical COMR's in use take advantage of the steering link offset different from the wheel radius, mainly because of improved stability. This paper presents the isotropy analysis of a fully actuated COMR with variable steering link offset, which can be considered as the generalization of the previous analysis. First, the kinematic model of a COMR under full actuation is obtained based on the orthogonal decomposition of the wheel velocities. Second, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the isotropy of a COMR are derived and examined to categorize three different groups, each of which can be dealt with in a similar way. Third, for each group, the isotropy conditions are further explored so as to identify all possible isotropic configurations completely.

The purpose of this study was to classify and analyze the lower body of adult female and to provide it'stotal data for clothing construction. The subjects were 82 Korean adult females and their age range is from 19 to 24 years old. 42 variables (10 variables from the direct anthropometric data, 2 variables from the multiplication method and 30 variables from the indirect anthropometric data) in total were applies to analyze(means, standard deviations, factor analysis, cluster analysis) The result of factor analysis indicated that 10 factors were extract'cd through factor analysis and orthogonal rotation by the method of varimax and those factors comprise 82. 5 percent of total variance. The obesity of lower body was closely related to hip angle indicated the degree of drooping hip was extracted a independent factor, not influenced by other variance. And somatotype of lower body is classified by cluster analysis, using the FASTCLUS of SAS. To classify the lower body, two kinds of silhouette, front- back and side were applied to analize. The front- back silhouette was subdivided into five groups and the side silhouette four.
