Diarrhea is the most common digestive disease next to influenza especially in chidren. The most important spleen function is that of transporting and transforming food and fluids. Any spleen disharmomny will therefore always influence the digestive process, with such symptom as abdominal distention, lack of appetite and loose stools. The results were as follows: 1. The most common causes of diarrhea were cold(寒) Fire(熱) Dampness(濕) and the other causes of diarrhea were Fear(驚) 담(Phlegm) spleen-Qi defiency(脾氣虛), injury diet(傷食). 2.Treatment of oriental medicine consist of herb-medicine Cause of cold is Bujaejungtang(附子理中湯) Cause of fire is Sungbisan(醒脾散) Cause of dampness is Oryungsan(五笭散)

Objectives : Many women associate one or more of their pregnancies with the development of adult obesity. This study was designed to determine influencing factors on postpartum weight retention and whether the breast-feeding was available to weight loss in puerperium. Methods : Articles from the literature on 'postpartum weight retention' were examined. Results : These articles show that different factors were related with postpartum weight retention. This study suggests that moderate weight gain during pregnancy is important to prevent postpartum maternal obesity. Especially weight gain from 20 weeks to 36 weeks of pregnancy is important. Falling in depression and anxiety during postpartum period should be avoided and social support is also needed. Delivery at the financially secure status is also recommended. Sufficient physical activity and exercise are needed to prevent from postpartum weight retention. Weight loss with dieting and exercise during lactation don't have a bad influence on the growth of infants.

The floristic composition and structure of the Oriental Arbor-viate forest, natural monument no. 1, were investigated in the Daegu city, southeastern Korea. Vegetation stratification have four layers including tree (＞5m), subtree (2m-5m), shrub (1m-2m) and herbs (＜1m), which occupied 63.8%, 10.7%, 12.1% and 49.4%, respectively. The vegetation of the study area were divided into Artemisia keiskeana - Quercus variabilis and Pyrrosia linearifolia-Thuja orientalis (OAV) communities. Frequency distribution for diameter classes of the Oriental Arbor-vitae population showed a reverse-J shape. The result suggests that the OAV forest of this site might maintains continuously the present state. The annual radial growth of OAV, Pinus densiflora and Quercus variabilis, the dominant species of the present site showed 0.29, 1.01 and 1.28 mm/year, respectively. Competition of OAV with theh other species including P. densiflora and Q. variabilis could influence negatively on the growthand survival of OAV forest in this site.

D-Amygdalin and its conversion product, neoamygdalin, were clearly separated on reverse-phase column chromatography by an optimized eluent of 10 mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 3.5) containing 8.5% acetonitrile. Linearity for analyzing D-amygdalin and neoamygdalin was observed in the range from 0.05 to 0.5 mM. The detection limits for D-amygdalin and neoamygdalin were ca. 5 uM per injected amount. When extracting amygdalin from a whole piece of Armeniacae Semen in the boiling aqueous solution, there was almost no influence of emulsin; it resulted in higher extraction yield. (omitted)

The research on the actual condition of the oriental health related industry has been made with defining it's phase. As a result, I have come to develope korean-type health model, which can solve the problems derived from the past herb medicine industry. The prospects and roles of the oriental health related industries are as follows: The phase adjustment of the oriental health related industry. The problems of modern medical science happens in the beginning of 21st century, the importance of oriental health improvement in the field of health business is now being on the rise. therefore it is necessary to readjust the present status of the oriental medicine and to take it into health area. Should the responsible institutes regarded on oriental medicine make clear prescription in terms of oriental health industry's role and limitation, they could contribute health circumstance in the 21st century. This is because oriental health related industry can be utiliged in not only protective area and curable area. The present situation of the oriental health related industry. These herb medical societies are flooded with various oriental health industry apart from the legal systematic control so far health industry apart from the legal systematic control so far. The expected survey can not be complete but random under these situations. Nevertheless oriental medical health industry area such as a diet cure, exercise treatment and living condition cure are being considerably expanded, especially living facilities improvement and mind control areas are toward worldwide. Consquently herb health industries are now？ consistantly developed by the influence of western nature treatment stemmed from the oriental medicine theory. The role and prospect of the oriental health related industry in 21st century. The oriental health industries can be helpful for the human being's health improvement in general but by the lack of scholastic oriental health theory, it does not contribute to the health welfare. If these problems are made up for in the field of theory area, the oriental health related industry will surely have the potentiallity and know how for health welfare. The successive role of these industry is depended on the fact that the characteristics of the oriental medicine should adjust to the real society with the systematic management. In the 21C, oriental health industry will certainly be vitalized owing to the social and periodical request especially in the area of oriental medical industry, oriental health drink industry, oriental health mind exercise industry, oriental health leasure industry and oriental health complex management industry. Among these areas, it is the oriental health complex amagement industry that will be the limestone of prosperity of the oriental health industry in 21C. Proposal for the social contribution of the oriental health related industry in the 21C. To achive the ultimate role of the oriental health industry in the 21c, first we should know how to use the oriental medicine. Second We should make an effort to revitalize the oriental health industry. So it is indespensible that government, academic institution and enterprise should concentrate their interest on the oriental health industry with common knowledge and systematic management in advance.

Objectives : This study was to evaluate the influence of dysgeusia on prognosis of peripheral facial paralysis. Methods: We investigated 40 cases of patients with Peripheral Facial Paralysis, and classified them as existence of dysgeusia. we evaluated the treatment effect of each group by using Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System before treatment and after final treatment. Results: 1. Postauricular pain showed the highest frequency in symptoms at onset. 2. As a result of evaluation by using Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System, treatment score after final treatment was marked higher than that before treatment within each group. 3. After final treatment, non-dysgeusia group showed signficant difference on Gross Grading System of House-Brackmann, Yanagihara's Unweighed Grading System compared with dysgeusia group. Conclusions: These results suggested that non-dysgeusia group should be get better than dysgeusia group in the patient with peripheral facial paralysis.

Full-scale ferro-concrete building technology came was introduced in Japan in Meiji $35{\sim}40(1902{\sim}1907)$ and heralding the beginning of urban modernization. On the roofs of these new architectural constructions, full-scale rooftop gardens were also developed. We consider that gardens established on the roofs of hotel and department stores created a new, modernized garden culture, which greatly influenced the early modern urban culture of Japan, the drama of which it conceived based on the impression in a rooftop garden is made. In this paper, we discuss the influence of Meiji-Era cultural and technological advances on rooftop gardens constructed during the Taisho $Era(1912{\sim}1926)$, as represented by the gardens of Kobe's Oriental Hotel, Tokyo's Mitsukoshi Department Store and Shimonoseki City's Akita Company. Photographic and print sources are utilized to analyze the design features and temporal changes of these pioneering rooftop gardens, as well as their influence on urban culture.

Maekmoondong-Tang is prescription recorded on Zang‘s ${ulcorner}$Synopsis of the Golden Chamber${\lrcorner}$ for the first time. It can be used in abnormal rising of qi, asthma, swelling throat ect. So it is observed influence of Maekmoondong-Tang on respiratory aspect of allergic asthma patient, we have significant result and report it. We used egg-white and ovalbmuin (OVA) to induce asthma in experimental animals for observe what maekmoondong-Tang have an effect on asthma. And it is observed respiratory aspect and obtained next conclusions. 1. Number of total respiration in group that is prescribed Maekmoondong-Tang slightly increased than in control group. 2. Number of abnormal respiration in group that is prescribed Maekmoondong-Tang decreased than in control group significantly.

Objectives : The aim of this study is to investigate the possibility of acupuncture to influence thyroglossal cyst. Methods : Acupuncture treatment was applied on several acupoints in the afternoon three to four times a week for 12 weeks. The effect of acupuncture treatment was evaluated with Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and THYROID USG manipulated by a specialist in radiology. Results : VAS was decreased from 10 to 2, and this effect occurred in the first half of the treatment period. THYROID USG scan has shown that acupuncture treatment reduced the depth of the cyst approximately 6 ㎜ in the first half of the period, but not in the latter half. Conclusions : From this study, we suggest that acupuncture may take part in the treatment of thyroglossal cyst.

This study is aimed at reviewing how the Orientalism trend is expressed in the modem fashion in terms of silhouette, color, materials, and detail. To this end, the geographic scope of this study is limited to China, Japan, Korea, while data are collected from fashion collections, domestic and foreign magazines since 2000's, literature, and internet sites. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. Silhouette: the basic square silhouette of the Oriental traditional costume do not disturb the body movement and have an effected on design to smoothly follow the body line rather than cutting out materials into several parts or emphasize the curved body. 2. Color: due to the influence of the Oriental Zen thought, color trend seems to pursue simplicity rather than complexity, and natural aesthetics. In addition, the Oriental colorfulness shall not be ignored. 3. Materials: golden embroidered material, polished satin, jersey, tough or rough materials, etc. have used with materials of the Oriental traditional costume came into fashion. In pattern, the Orientalism trend is expressive of pattern by Chinese ink-spread technique, simple brush touch technique, cloud pattern, lotus flower pattern or dragon pattern, all of which feature the Oriental calm aesthetics or those motivated by the Oriental traditional patterns. 4. Detail: the techniques of handicrafts and manual arts such as meticulous embroidery, tassel or patchwork reflect well the Orientalism trend in the modem fashion.
