Being in a knowledge-based industry, many construction organizations are seeking to manage their own knowledge in an effective way. To manage knowledge, the organizations must motivate in-house people to share their knowledge. However, some barriers to knowledge sharing do exist and researches on these barriers considering construction organizations' characteristics seem rare. This study aims to identify key barriers to knowledge sharing considering the characteristics of construction organizations. Based on the identification, strategic responses to each key barrier are presented in two perspectives of technical and behavioral approach to activate knowledge sharing.

As the number of smart phone users increases, many organizations begin to adopt social media rapidly to diversify communication channels with customers. Specifically, twitter, which supports instant and two-way communications between users and between organizations and users, has been adopted by many organizations as an efficient way not only to identify new customers but also to retain existing customers. However, little attention has been given to the issue on how organizations can effectively use twitter to improve customer satisfaction. To explore the issue, this study proposes two major dimensions, customer participation and organization resource utilization, which should be considered in building a utilization strategy for twitter in organizations. We then develop four different combinations along with these dimensions-follow, mention, retweet, and review types. Based on case studies of 27 organizations that use twitter, we evaluate the degrees of customer participation, resource utilization, and customer satisfaction, and examine matching or mismatching of the adoption purpose of twitter and its actual utilization. The study results reveal that organizations in the matching group show higher customer satisfaction that those in the mismatching group. This study sheds new light on twitter research by developing a new conceptual framework and using a case study approach to explore the relationship between the utilization strategy of twitter and customer satisfaction.

Previous studies on strategic alliance formation have largely overlooked the effects that organizations' routine development can have on the relationship between organizations' network position and their alliance ambidexterity strategy. This study extends ambidexterity research by adding internal and network perspectives and examining their cumulative effects on alliance ambidexterity. We first acknowledge the interplay between organizations' internal knowledge exploration/exploitation strategies and organizations' alliance ambidexterity and determine that organizations with a high level of internal knowledge breadth are more likely to make focused alliance decisions. Second, our analysis of 145 US-based information technology organizations with an active alliance behavior reveals that having well-formed routines as a result of previous collaborations strengthens the tendency of brokerage organizations to follow alliances that focus on either exploration or exploitation. Although most alliance studies have commonly argued in favor of an ambidextrous approach, this study provides critical evidence that both internal knowledge exploration/exploitation strategies and development of routines constrain organizations' alliance formation decisions, guiding them towards a more focused approach.

The purpose of the study was to identify the general status of Kigong organizations introduced on Internet. We have used www.naver.com, the biggest portal site in Korea and www.nice114.co.kr, which has the longest list of the telephone numbers to look up the organizations with the index of "Kigong and Danhak" and "Mediation". Among them we screened the organizations to have the list of organizations which have been established for more than 5 years, with more than 100 trainees and whether they published books or booklets regarding Kigong by the means of telephone conversation or home page access. The number of organizations identified by telephone and Internet with the indexes of Kigongdanhak and mediation was 852. The number of organizations that passed the primary criterion was 22, and that passed the secondary criterion was 8. Among the primarily screened organization, there are 5 focusing on mediation, 5 focusing on breathing, 3 focusing on Haenggong, 4 focusing on mediation and Haenggong, 4 focusing on breathing and Haenggong and 1 focusing on mediation and breathing. In secondarily screened organizations, they called their training method as Seondo, Shinseondo or Seonhak and origin of the training method as Dangun and Hwangwung. As Sambeop training of Jigam, Josik and Geumchok provide training methods which are a little different each other, the utilization rate was low although there are some organizations that have special training using Three Bibles. It was identified that there were many texts and writings that they took as training methods other than Three Bibles. Kigong training organizations based on Korean traditional ideologies are grounded on the Three Textbooks such as , , and and the concept of Hongikingan. This ideological ground is the study of Completion of Human Beings through physical and mental training and goes with Seondo, Pungryudo and Hyunmyojido.

본 연구에서는 소비자단체의 공간적 분포와 그 특성을 살펴보고, 소비자단체의 발전 방안을 모색하는 데 필요한 근거 자료를 마련하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 지역을 기반으로 한 소비자단체가 소비자문제를 보다 효과적으로 해결할 수 있는 구체적인 방안을 제안할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 11개 소비자단체, 815개소 지부 및 지회 자료를 수집하여 국지적 자기상관과 공간시차모델을 활용하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 소비자단체의 공간적 분포는 지리적인 특성에 따른 패턴을 찾기 어려웠다. 둘째, 소비자단체는 인구와 사업체 수가 많고 면적이 큰 지역일수록 더 많이 분포하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 소비자단체의 공간적 분포는 소비자상담 건수와 비교할 때, 소비자단체의 수요와 공급 간 불일치가 발생한다는 것을 나타낸다. 후속 연구에서는 소비자단체의 활동에 관한 질적 자료를 보충하여 분석함으로써, 소비자단체의 구체적인 발전방안을 지속적으로 모색할 필요가 있다.

The objectives of this study were to explore the present condition and development direction of youth allied organizations such as Korea 4-H Club Federation, Clover Alumni Association and Korea 4-H Association. Researcher developed questionnaires were used to identify historical changes, present condition and development directions of the youth allied organizations. The data were collected from 105 purposively sampled representatives from the youth allied organizations, and SPSS/WIN program was employed to analyze the data. Major problems of the youth allied organization, according to the respondents, were financial difficulties and lack of full-time employee for the organizations. It was recommended that more full-time employees would be necessary for further development of youth allied organizations. Securing wider membership throughout the country and financial security were recommended for development of the youth allied organizations.

The problems associated with the excessive compensation of the public organizations in Korea have been presented not only by the press but also by the academic societies, including the management evaluation team of the public organizations, both in Korea and abroad. To analyze whether the compensation is excessive necessitates the empirical study on the present condition of the compensation system of the public organizations. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to suggest the issues and the future directions of the compensation in the public organizations. The findings from the analysis of the data collected in this research include the expansion of the difference in compensation, the reinforcement of the job and performance-based compensation, the systematization of the model on the base compensation, and the differentiation of the compensation increase based on productivity.

Many IT organizations aspire to improve the efficiency and general standard of their software development effort by implementing agile software development practices. Some of the popular agile development methods adopted by IT organizations are Scrum, eXtreme Programming (XP), Kanban, Featured Driven Development (FDD) and Dynamic System Development Method (DSDM). This paper intends to identify and analyze the barriers that impact on the performance of IT organizations that use such agile software development methods. The analysis will help the IT organizations to cater the needed aspects to be successful. The analysis will also help the IT organizations to select the right methodology for their organization. The contribution of this analysis is to present guideline related to avoid or overcome the barriers towards adoption of agile.

As internet is spreaded widely, the number of cyber terror using hacking and virus is increased. Also the international cyber terror to the national key organizations go on increasing. If the national key organizations is attacked by the attack, the national paper, document and records are exposed to the other nations. The national paper, document and records can give damage to the nation. Especially, the unknown attack can give much damage to the nation. Therefore, this paper suggested a countermeasures on the cyber terror for the national key organizations provided the inner of the organization is safe. The uneffective item and invasion privacy item are included among the countermeasures. However the countermeasures can protect only one cyber terror to the national key organizations.

In this study, the goals and the short and long term plan to attain the goals were set up through the analysis of non-government environmental protection organizations actual conditions which were grasped through interview and questionnaire. The goals and the plan were modified and elaborated through 3 times environment experts conferences and a public hearing. The goals were as follows: a) Laying down the guidelines on the organizations. b) Establishing a view of environment. c) Paying a public attention to importance of environment. d) Activations the practice in environmental protection movement. e) Harmonizing the relations between the organizations themselves. government and the organizations, industries and the organizations. f) Establishing the government support system to the organizations in leagal. administrative and financial aspects. g) Enhancing the potentialities on research and development in environmental protection technology. In the short and long term plan, the specific activities to be driven up to the year 2000 were presented by stages.
