This qualitative research aimed to understand what leadership engineers need to have based on perceptions of people in charge of human resources in the large engineering companies in Korea. Focused group interviews were performed with 10 participants and the collected qualitative data were analyzed using the constant comparative method. The findings showed that the required leadership for engineers consists of six elements: technological professionalism, management skills, cross-functional skills, abilities to change organizational culture, work ethics, and technological creativity. This leadership elements were formulated in the engineering work environment and job characteristics which can be represented by technology-based professionalism, flexibility in work, and process-centered work. The implications for collegiate engineering leadership education were also suggested.

So, cost effectiveness means financial cost that is affected in order to attain the output of organizational goal. Many enterprises are investing in developing and redeveloping various projects of information systems. The aim of this study was to identify the effective factors for improving the professionalism of the social welfare public organization and to suggest the implications for the relationship between public social welfare and educational alternatives. For the analysis, 637 government officials who worked in the social welfare department of local governments in Kangwon province were surveyed. Based on previous studies on the organizational effectiveness, this study examined differences in the perceptions of job stress, organizational satisfaction, organizational commitment, and social support by characteristics (gender, major, and serial), followed by relationship educational alternatives (job training, healing camp, psychological counseling). The differences according to gender were significant only in the creativity of the work and the self-esteem of the institution. Through the confirmation of recognition difference according to whether they majored or not, it was confirmed that expertise of the major in social welfare was necessary for job performance ability and suggested the urgency of the appointment of a major. The differences among the serials showed that administrative work is more difficult than social welfare work in terms of professionalism and expertise. Finally, based on the results of the causal relationships with educational alternatives, this paper introduces and operates systematic educational programs, such as personal psychological counseling and organizational healing camp management, as well as the need for active and proactive responses to changes in social welfare administration organizations.

The purpose of this study was to explore the role orientation that librarians are expected to carry during their career-life. More specifically, this study examined the pattern of librarians subjectivism related to attitude, belief, and confidence. Q questions were made of 36 items, including personal value system and role attitude. P sample included 23 librarians. Data were collected for 8 days (from April 15, 2005 to April 22, 2005). Analyses showed the following results. First, librarians role orientations were classified into 3 types: user-centered orientation, organization-centered orientation, and expertise-centered orientation. (1) The first type librarians were interested in having good relationships with users, while emphasizing the importance of providing good services to the users. (2) The second type of librarians were concerned with social function of the library, while placing highlight on their roles as organizational members. Among them, achievement evaluation was regarded as an important indicator of personal success. They were interested in having stable organizational culture, as well as economic growth of libraries. This orientation was dominant among married members. (3) The third type of librarians focused on librarians role implementation and professional achievement. They showed interest not only in the improvement of librarians creativity and the growth of expertises, but also the expansion of retraining opportunities. This orientation was conspicuous among female librarians. Second, several commonalities and differences were consistently found among librarians. The first type was interested in user-centered orientation(user contact, need satisfaction, self dignity, etc.). The second type was interested in organization-centered orientation(creativity, expertise growth, retraining opportunity, professional achievement. self-respect, etc.).

The 4th Industrial Revolution (FIR) has already begun. Corporations have to fulfill their social responsibilities to the FIR. This study explores the leadership and attitudes required in the FIR era for companies to fulfill their social responsibilities. In the FIR era, workers should have certain attitudes, such as self-efficacy, expectancy, and acceptance of change. If workers have these attitudes, they will be able to make a difference in the future. This study suggests the leadership styles that are needed to improve these attitudes. Participation, creativity, delegation of leadership, and inspirational motivation of leaders involves organizational change and improvement of organizational performance. This paper demonstrates the kind of leadership that is more important for each attitude through statistical analysis. Furthermore, when workers have these attitudes, not only the future, but also their current performance can be improved. To explain this relationship, the paper describes the effect of attitudes on job satisfaction. If workers have certain attitudes, their current and future performance will improve. As a result of the research, all four leadership styles had positive effects on attitudes toward FIR, and attitudes showed a mediating effect on the relationship between leadership styles and job satisfaction. In addition, it has been proven that the role of participative and delegating leadership, which is more member-oriented leadership, is more important. Leadership will enable workers to have a particular attitude through member-centered leadership, and workers will be able to increase current and future performance. Through these efforts, companies will be able to increase their performance in the current and FIR era, and fulfill their social responsibilities more faithfully. Therefore, in the FIR era, companies will play an important role in the development of society, and create new values.

This study looked in-depth at the importance of cultivating and manifesting entrepreneurship, which is emphasized for companies to gain a competitive advantage and promote innovation in the uncertain environment that organizations face and in the development of technology due to recent industrial advancement, the following innovative performance, and the mechanisms in the performance process. Entrepreneurship is emphasized as a key factor in inducing creative work performance, creation and application of new ideas, and innovative performance at various levels within the organization in various global companies. In particular, this study examined the influence of the CEO's cultivation and expression of entrepreneurship as an organizational leader on the innovative behavior of organizational members, which is a leading factor in the organization's innovative performance, and the role of creative self-efficacy as a mechanism. Through this, the study was to verify the importance of creativity and cultivating a sense of self-efficacy for demonstrating innovative performance within an organization. Additionally, it was to confirm the role of organizational commitment of organizational members as a situational factor. For the empirical analysis, a total of 247 office workers were surveyed, sampled from 10 venture companies engaged in the manufacturing industry in industrial complexes in Daejeon, Korea. As the result of empirical analysis showed, it was confirmed that each sub-factor of the CEO's entrepreneurship had a positive effect on the innovative behavior of organizational members. And in the process, the importance of the creative self-efficacy of members to demonstrate innovative performance was verified by confirming positively significant mediating effect of creative self-efficacy. Furthermore, in the case of organizational commitment, it was found that the innovativeness and proactiveness of the CEO strengthened the positive influence on the creative efficacy of the organization members. Based on the results of empirical analysis, theoretical and practical implications were provided to improve the importance of cultivating and manifesting the CEO's entrepreneurship to demonstrate innovation within the organization.
Rapid advances in information technology(IT) and telecommunication systems impact the number and quality of decision-making in organizations. Specifically, middle mangers must posses or develop the creativity necessary for survival in a constantly changing and volatile business environment. While tradition and conventional wisdom tell us that a middle managers role centers on control and monitoring, todays competitive arena has spun out a new managerial requirement developing and maintaining an innovative attitude. Problematically, most previous research has focused on the issue of changing decision authority (i. e. centralization/decentralization). Moreover, much previous research has also largely ignored environmental changes exposing new roles that middle managers have assumed. This study explores the means of identifying middle managerial roles, managerial possibilities involving the growing popularity of open systems through electronic brainstorming, and an adaptation and development of Diffusion Theory and attempt to counter criticism leveled at the theory's inability to provide an adequate explanation for diffusion of complex organizational technology. This paper develops three ideas: 1) Introducing the 'Chasing Curve' as a theoretical background. 2) Suggesting a new methodology using electronic brainstorming for analyzing the gap between Knowing (the perceived importance of middle managers' roles) and Doing (the degree of current status of middle managers' roles), which we term the 'Spiral Gap Analysis Model'. 3) Identifying a feedback system for minimizing the Knowing - Doing gap, aimed at development of IT strategic priority decision support, which we call this the 'Star Process'.
This study aims to identify on the possibility of the convergence education in engineering. Delphi survey on a panel of experts was chosen to be the main methodology for this study, drawing the main factors of convergence education in engineering. From Oct. 10 to Nov. 25, 2013, a three-round Delphi survey was implemented to collect data. A panel of eighteen experts were involved in this survey. For statistical processing, descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were carried out along with internal reliability test on the survey instrument. First, the possible convergence of disciplines in engineering were found to Design, Industrial design, ICT, Health care services, Video media, Business and Administration, Organizational psychology, Sociology, Humanities and Aesthetics. Second, the convergence education factors to be most important demanded creativity, idea generation techniques such as the expression of thought communication skills, technical expertise in the field per line, understanding of basic knowledge, verification of common elements among different disciplines, understanding of other disciplines fusion in engineering, artistry and imagination, etc. Third, requirements for the talented person of convergence were the open mind and enthusiasm, creative imagination, accept the opinions of others, skills capacity as a creative expression, and challenges. Above-mentioned requirements are found to be the necessary elements for convergence education.

The article theoretically substantiated, developed and practically implemented a structural and functional model of the formation of ICT competence, taking into account interdisciplinary integration, defines the pedagogical conditions that contribute to the formation of ICT competence: interdisciplinary integration as a basis for building an interdisciplinary course, the content of which is aimed at the formation of ICT competence; the use of IEE, including information, didactic, technological components as a basis for the formation of ICT competence; integration of formal, non-formal and informal education for the implementation the integrity of the acquired knowledge, skills, experience as the basis for the formation of the ICT competence of teachers; creation and use of a set of tasks (educational (UZ), educational and methodological (UMP), educational and professional (UPZ)) as special tools for the formation of ICT competence.

Given the ability and skills required by modern people, marketing can be divided into knowledge-related skill such as marketing plans, market segmentation, and marketing mix management and supportive skill such as communication, inter-organizational management, creativity, and decision making. Knowledge related skills can be nurtured in existing marketing classes, but it is recognized that special educational programs such as self marketing are needed to develop and train supportive skills regardless of education levels or major education. This paper is aimed to design for marketing educational program for the self marketing. In this study, a DACUM method job analysis to extract contents by specialists such as model setting of task and job, job statement, job analysis, education course development, and so on. In the first place, this report presents job analysis model by procedures for developing selection criteria of examination questions of the self marketing qualification. The first step is preparation for job analysis, the second step: the establishment of job models, the third step : the job specification and task analysis, the fourth step: the review of job model, the fifth step: the establishment of subjects for examination matrix table for making questions.
