우로칸 알킬에스테르의 합노(合盧) 및 광학효과(光學效果) (The Synthesis of Urocanic Alkyl Ester and Photolysis)

  • The synthesis of urocanic acid which was started D-fructose, and its alkyl esters, urocanic ethyl ester and urocanic isobutyl ester, were prepared by esterificated. Urocanic ethyl ester and urocanic isobutyl ester were insoluble in water and soluble most organic solvents (ethanol, benzene, toluene, pyridine, THF, DMF) which adds to their practical applicability, and absorb ultraviolet light of greater wavelength than the free acid and there by are more effective for shielding sensitive materials, including the humanbody, from the chemically most effective portion of the solar ultraviolet spectrum.

유기산에 의해 가수분해된 알긴산에서 폴리만뉴론산과 폴리글루론산을 분리하는 간단한 방법 (A Simple Method for Isolation of Polymannuronate and Polyguluronate from Alginate Hydrolyzed by Organic Acids)

  • 분자량이 1,283 kDa인 알긴산을 0.4 M 유기산을 사용하여 $100^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 반응시켜 가수분해하였다. 유기산에 의하여 가수분해된 알긴산의 분자량은 7.5에서 53.2 kDa이었다. 유기산으로 가수분해된 알긴산을 구성하는 만뉴론 산과 글루론산의 비율은 가수분해하지 않은 알긴산과 비교하여 큰 차이가 없었다. 사용한 유기산 중에서 알긴산을 가수분해하는 가장 효과적인 유기산은 초산이었다. 사용한 초산의 농도 및 반응시간이 증가할수록 가수분해된 알긴산의 분자량은 감소하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 가수분해된 알긴산의 분자량과 초산의 농도 및 반응시간과의 상관관계를 나타내는 관계식을 구하였다. 초산으로 가수분해한 알긴산의 pH를 조절하여 폴리만뉴론산과 폴리글루론산을 분리하였다. 초산과 반응하는 시간이 증가할수록 폴리만뉴론산에 존재하는 만뉴론산의 비율은 증가하였다. 폴리만뉴론산에 존재하는 만뉴론산의 비율은 $100^{\circ}C$에서 0.4 M 초산과 1시간, 3시간 및 5시간 반응하였을 경우에 각각 75%, 90% 및 98%이었다.

황토미장재 성능개선을 위한 실험적 연구 (A fundamental Study on the Performance Improvement of Hwangto plaster)

  • Recently the Volatile Organic Compound, HCHO, a harmful object spout from the construction materials is made an issue of social problem. Also the appearance of the building where the confidentiality is high was interior air pollution and it was brought about a huge problem. The government research facility and a relation industry sector conducts a many effort to improves like this actual condition. The Diverse ability building material which contains the natural material of the jade, the charcoal and the hwangto instead of the finish material which contains the harmful chemical material, is becoming development and utility. Hereupon the study have carried out research on hwangto plaster that was composed of hwangto and rice straw. The result of test that is deduced by basic proportion is properly appeared with suitable ratio of the hwangto and the sand to 4:6~5:5 by the compressive strength and crack control, workability. The result of test, that adds the rice straw to basic blending for a crack control, appeared with the fact that it is most suitable 3%to add the rice straw that has a length of 0.5cm~2cm. The result of test that plaster over the large size to compare a cement plaster with a hwangto plaster show a similar efficiency by workability. Also it controlled the crack and peeling off actual condition which is discovered from the hwangto plaster of existing perfectly.

한국 고건축 양식을 응용한 반(盤) 디자인 (A Study on Soban(dining table) Design Applying of Korean Traditional Architecture)

  • Furniture can be a product of design and is considered a form of a decorative art. Architectural works are often perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art. Korean traditional architectural form and wooden furniture were improved by adding up an organic coordination in the interior space. Furniture adds beauty of life by being coordinated with the interior space with its particular characteristic in the form of architectural structure. Architecture and furniture are also being improved in a more natural and diverse way. Therefore, in this research, from the choice of the location, Korean traditional architecture is considered to be coordinated with the nature, and the technical skill is lessened to express its beauty. There is a presence of elegance yet robust combination of simplicity and beauty. In addition, the traditional architecture and wooden furniture are completely expressed structurally with coordination of the outstanding design and solid structure according to the thrifty living in the Confucian ideas which influenced the Korean traditional society. The representative of Korean traditional architecture, Baeheulrim pillar, has worked as motive because of its visual comfort caused by optical illusion and formative elements. The small portable dining table (Soban) which reflects the characteristic of Korean unique tradition and the sensitivity of Koreans has been reinterpreted through the motive in this research. As a result, it has shown the possibility as the design element to change the aesthetic structure. In the modern society, cultural identity plays a vital role. Therefore, this research can be used as reference for the new concept of furniture - making. It could be a combination of modern people, lifestyle and living space by creating the Korean image suitable for the modern society.

춘천시의 조경식물의 식재와 이용 현황 (A Study on the Planting and Use of Landscaping Plants in Chuncheon)

  • This study was executed to find out how to improve the planting and use of landscaping plants in Chuncheon. The number of street trees was 17,877 in 2003. The major species of street trees were Ginkgo biloba(52.7%), Prunus sargentii(15.3%), Zelkova serrata(8.9%), Platanus occidentalis(7.3%). Salix babylonica and Platanus occidentalis were decreased, while Prunus sargentii and Zelkova serrata were increased. Salix babylonica is a good species for a lakeside city, but its seeds cause allergies to some people. Most of the trees have been removed in Chuncheon. The planting of Salix babylonica(♂) resulted in no problems, and it should be propagated to plant. The soil of several areas was analysed to investigate soil conditions. The outskirts of city had good conditions in pH, organic matter and minerals, but the downtown areas had high alkalic, due to alkali from footpath concrete blocks. Appropriate pruning adds to the aesthetic and prolongs the useful life; it also requires less managing of insects and diseases to maintain good healthy of street trees. Street trees were not properly pruned due to electric lines and shortage of pruning information. The pruning was controlled by Korea Electric Power Co, which has no pruning information. Pruning must be maintained by a professional landscape company to maintain good shape such as with Bonsai. The Shrubs planting zone between street trees and other trees, and preservation plates were established for healthy of street trees. They have to be repaired and maintained well to keep better environmental conditions. The number of tree and flower species of 68 schools in Chuncheon were 12 and 16, respectively. The species that showed high preference were Juniperus chinensis, Pinus koraiensis, Pinus densiflora, Rosa centifolia, Forsythia koreana, and Rhododendron schlippenbachii. The high frequency of the protection trees designated by Chuncheon were Pinus densiflora, Ginko biloba, Zelkova serrata, Quercus species. It was thought that the diversification of street tree species, the selection of street trees suitable to each space, the generalization of use of native species, the appropriate pruning and proper fertilization, the control of pests and diseases, and the opinions of citizens concerning landscape plants were needed to improve the planting, use and maintenance of landscaping plants in Chuncheon.
