  • Some kinds of precision optical systems for spaceborne high resolution cameras were designed at preliminary design level and an optical design for a hyperspectral imager was performed for its development model. A Cassegrain-based catadioptric system and an unobscured reflective triplet system are illustrated in detail for spaceborne high resolution electro optical cameras which have performance of 5m resolution at an altitude of 685km and the design are evaluated in its spot-diagram and MTF to prove they have good performance enough to implement the requirements for realistic satellite payload taking the fabrication conditions and the on-orbit operation into consideration. For the development of hyperspectral imager as a next-generation payload, an optical system has been designed and elaborated. It can be divided into two parts, a catoptric telescope forming an off-axis 2 mirror type and a dispersive spectrometer which comprises collimator, grating and reimaging lens cell. From its optical design to the system characteristics are shown with the MTF performance reaching 25% approximately.

  • The interferometer method with nano-scale spatial resolution has been developed in this study. To enhance the accuracy of the previous developed method, the 14 bit cooled CCD camera with 1280 by 980 spatial resolution was applied to the measurement. And optical alignment has been carried out on the highly accurate position sensors with 500nm resolution so as to be able to calibrate the detected interference image with the field of view. Also the measurements were applied to the ultra thin oil film between the Al coated cylinder mirror with 38.1mm radius and 0.5mm cover glass to verify the developed method. The measured result showed the good agreement with the used cylinder curvature with ${\pm}$5.18run uncertainty.

  • Pseudomonas sp. PA09 was isolated from farm soil and used for the optical resolution of D-pipecolic acid from DL-popecolic acid. The strain PA09 consumed L-pipecolic acid preferentially as the sole carbon and energy source, thus accumulating D-pipecolic acid in the culture broth. Optimization to improve the enantiomeric excess and yield was performed. The time course experiment showed that the strain OP09 consumed L-pipecolic acid almost to completion after 35h of cultivation, and the enantiomeric excess and the yield (% of residual D-pipecolic acid) were 99.8 and 96.0%, respectively.

  • In this paper, a new algorithm for contention resolution in optical burst switched network is proposed and simulated. The proposed algorithm is made from the all mixing of wavelength conversion, deflection routing, segmentation, and optical fiber delay line buffering. We analysis the performance of the proposed contention resolution algorithm by using ns-2. The application of the algorithm into Korea backbone network shows the superior performance of a low burst loss probability.

  • Optical resolution of aminoalcohols had been achived efficiently by use of (R)-2,2'-dihydroxy-l,1'-binaphtholphosphoric acid as the resolving agent in various organic solvents. Racemic aminoalcohols were resolved very easily and high enantiomer yield (about 70% e,e) in THF. On the other hand, absolute configuration of resolved aminoalcohol was (R)-configuration but one of the Valinnol and Phhenylglycinol was anti-type because of sterichindrance.Optical resolution of aminoalcohols had been achived efficiently by use of (R)-2,2'-dihydroxy-1,1'-binaphtholphosphoric acid as the resolving agent in various organic solvents. • A method of increasing the equivalent resolution of optical transducers by setting two optical transducer arrays in juxaposed and half- pixel-length shifted position is proposed and tested. The decision in the refined resolution is executed by a microcomputer to show that there is no ambiguous case nevertheless of the fact that these transducers give an intergrated and averaged image signals.

  • Resolution of enantiomers of DNS-amino acids has been achieved by a reversed phase liquid chromatography with an addition of a copper(Ⅱ) complex of N-benzyl-L-hydroxyproline to the mobile phase. N-Benzyl-L-hydroxyproline was prepared and used as a chiral ligand of copper(Ⅱ) chelate for the optical resolution. The pH and the concentration of copper(Ⅱ) chelate, organic solvent, and buffer agent in the mobile phase all affect the optical resolutions of dansyl amino acids. The elution orders between D and L-DNS-amino acids were different depending on the structure of the side chain of the amino acids. The retention mechanism for the chiral separation of the dansyl amino acids can be illustrated by the equilibrium of ligand exchange and by hydrophobic interaction with $C_{18}$ stationary phase. The chiral separation can be illustrated with cis and trans effect of the ligand exchange reaction.
