Objective: This study aimed to investigate how the movements occurring during the follow-through phase after releasing an arrow among elite compound archers, are associated with the arrow impact points on the target. Method: Nine elite archers performed consecutive compound archery shooting under conditions identical to actual competitions using their own bows and equipment. Motion capture system and force platform were utilized to record the changes in joint positions and center of pressure, respectively. Principal component analysis was employed to identify the patterns in which multidimensional joint positions and COP changes were organized with horizontal and vertical coordinates of arrow impact points. Subsequently, correlation analysis quantified the relationship between individual variables and the coordinates of arrow impacts on the target. Results: We found a common organizational pattern in which the two axes of the impact point coordinates were grouped into the first two principal components. The movements of the upper and lower limbs following release exhibited opposite patterns in the anterior-posterior axis, with significant correlations observed between the arrow impact points of the horizontal axis and the left shoulder, right elbow, left hip, and both knees. Additionally, the lateral movements induced by the reaction force upon arrow release showed significant associations with the vertical coordinates of the impact points. Particularly, the correlations between the movements of the left shoulder and elbow, as well as the bilateral hip and right knee, were consistently observed among all participants. Conclusion: These findings implied that the post-release movements could significantly influence the trajectory and impact points of the arrows in compound archery. We suggest that a consistent and controlled movement during the follow-through phase may be more beneficial for optimizing shooting accuracy and precision rather than minimizing movements.
Due to the conventional half-bridge switch-mode converters for dc motor drive have been usually using unbalanced circuit topologies which generate common-mode currents through parasitic capacitors distributed between the ground and the dc motor frame such as the heat-sink of switching devices or the frame of the dc motor. This paper describes methods that cancel common-mode current generated in half-bridge switch-mode converters by using circuit balancing technique. The circuit balancing is to make the noise pickup or occurring in both conductor lines, signal and return pathes, is equal in amplitude and opposite in phase so that it will be canceled out in the ground plane. The common-mode current cancellation in the proposed converter is confirmed by experimental results.
This study was carried out tn invstigate and compare biomechanical characteristics during free speed gait in hemiplegic patients after stroke who took therapeutic exercise by analyzing kinematic and kinetic data in the sagital plane and electromyographic data. Six patients($41\~69$ years old) and age-matched six volunteers in good health(51-61 years old) wire studied. The patients were sorted into two groups, depending on their self-speed of walking : fast speed group(3 patients) and slow speed group(3 patients). The results were as fellows. : 1. In spatio-temparal parameters, affected and unaffected side of fast group showed symetry but blew group showed asymetry of single limb support, opposite foot contact and stance phase (p<0.05). Compared with normal group, patient group showed slower velocity, shoter stride length and longer double limb support (p<0.05). 2. In the pelvic anterior tilt, patient group showed lower valued than normal group. It. In the ground reaction force-vertical force, fast group showed similar double peak gragh compared with normal group, butvslow group showed lower values without double peak (p<0.05).
The solubilization and desolubilization of proteins in CTAB/hexanol/isooctane reverse micellar system were investigated for the selective separation of proteins. Several proteins were used, including bovine serum albumin (BSA), pepsin, trysin and ribonuclease-a. Most proteins could be solubilized into reverse micelles in the pH range above the isoelectric point of each protein, where the net charge of protein was opposite to that of surfactant. However BSA was solubilized above pH 10, which is serveral pH units above the pI 4.9. The kinds of anions in aqueous phase influenced on protein solubilization while no significant trend was observed with different cations, Protein solubilization decreased with increase of the ion size in the order of F -, C1-, Br- and I -. The size of CTAB micelles did not change significantly with increasing ionic strength, but the solubilization decreased. Protein desolubilization showedropposite behaviors to the solubilization. Several model mixtures such as pepsin/ trypsin, pepsin/ribonuclease-a and BSAlribonucleaee-a were successfully separated from each other without changing enzymatic activities.

Balance shaft module contributes to reduce the engine-born vibration by compensating it from a unbalance mass with opposite phase but practically, this device has some problems during the operation in a high speed owing to the considerable amount of unbalance mass that leads to the large quantity of bending deformation as well as torque fluctuation at the balance shaft. To tackle two main problems, the design strategy on balance shaft is suggested by addressing the optimal location of unbalance mass and supporting hearing based on the formulation of objective function that minimizes critical issues, both bending deformation as well as torque fluctuation. The boundary condition of balance shaft assumes to be free such that any external force or contact component is not taken into consideration in this study.
This preliminary study is about the application of the compound source to the active noise barrier system as control sources. A compound source is composed of two monopole sources but having opposite phase. However, both monopole sources in one compound source are not independently controlled. The source strength of monopole source close to the noise source is proportional to the other one. Therefore, the cost for the hardware system is cheaper than usual system but known to possibly having a similar performance in generating anti-noise acoustic field. In this study, using a simple active noise barrier system model having a non-reflective floor, the effectiveness of the system with compound sources is investigated through computer simulations and shows 30~40 % performance improvement of noise reduction.
Using a new evaluation method, Congo red method, the foliar uptakes of eight fungicides were measured. Among the fungicides tested, fenarimol, myclobutanil, edifenphos, isoprothiolane, and tricyclazole were found to be penetrable (11.0~42.8%), and were continuously absorbed into the leaf regardless of their formulation types. Procymidone, dimethomorpb, and ethaboxan were seldomly absorbed into plant leaf. The uptakes of dimethomorph and ethaboxam were facilitated (18.1~22.7%) in the presence of Koremul-OE-20, as an activator, showing plateau phase at 12h after application. Foliar uptake of fenarimol and myclobutanil into cucumber plant by spray application was larger than that by dropping application, while observed opposite in the cases of dimethomorph and ethaboxam containing activator. Congo red method in conjunction with spraying application used in the present study produced the clear results on foliar uptake of fungicides and therefore proved to be better than the conventional method in which the dropping application of pesticide has been used.
Previously characterized as a backward motor, myosin VI (MYO6), which belongs to myosin family, moves toward the minus end of the actin track, a direction opposite to all other known myosin members. Recent researches have illuminated the role of MYO6 in human cancers, particularly in prostate cancer. However, the role of MYO6 in glioma has not yet been determined. In this study, to explore the role of MYO6 in human glioma, lentivirus-delivered short hairpin RNA (shRNA) targeting MYO6 was designed to stably down-regulate its endogenous expression in glioblastoma cells U251. Knockdown of MYO6 significantly inhibited viability and proliferation of U251 cells in vitro. Moreover, the cell cycle of U251 cells was arrested at G0/G1 phase with the absence of MYO6, which could contribute to the suppression of cell proliferation. In conclusion, we firstly identified the crucial involvement of MYO6 in human glioma. The inhibition of MYO6 by shRNA might be a potential therapeutic method in human glioma.
Protease-catalyzed liberation of sialyloligosaccharide from raw egg yolk was investigated in biphasic system, water-immiscible hexane system. Biphasic system 1, in which water was the continuous phase, was better than the opposite biphasic system ll in sialyloligosaccharide liberation. The optimal conditions of temperature, water content and reaction time were $30^{\circ}C$, 20% and 12 hours, respectively. Protease activity was strongly influenced by the amount of water present in the reaction mixture. The liberation of sialyloligosaccharide was accelerated by protease pre-treatment at $30^{\circ}C$ in 0.2 M NaCl solution, prior to addition of hexane (Biphasic system I).

There are many assertions related to biotechnology and genetically modified organisms(GMOs). Some experts have asserted that GM foods could be dangerous and that there is no reliable evidence that have been demonstrated safe through appropriate tests, and the others asserted these foods are as safe and nutritions as their conventional counterparts. The objectives of this study was to study an societal implications of biotechnology and GMOs in agriculture. To keep the balance in mind the researcher examined not only usefulness but also harmfulness of GMOs, along with the developmental process of biotechnology industry. It was observed that basically, multinational corporations developed GMOs to maximize their profit, and strengthened their control on agriculture and food through GMOs, as observed in alliance among big multinational corporations' food chain cluster and systems. Under the situation, farmers were losing their status as independent producer and were becoming propertied labor for multinational corporation through contract farming. If these trends continuous in the future, multinational corporations will have the control of genetic resources, these may bring about reduction of bio-diversity, thus may lead the opposite direction to eco-friendly agriculture. If multinational corporations' tendency to suppress the latent harmfulness for the profit continuous further, this may lead the degradation phase of farming and agriculture, thus leading negative socio-economic effects as well as culture and religion.
