  • A two-dimensional zone-like model is developed to predict the interaction between hot gas layer and water droplets after sprinkler activation. The model combines the motion equations for each droplet with heat and mass transfer between the gas and water. The results indicate that negative buoyancy in the hot layer can only be obtained if the initial temperature profile is uniform. If an experimental profile Is used instead, positive buoyancy results. This conclusion has been confirmed with experimental data.

  • Many countries are pursuing the policy of activation of the railway that are means of high-efficiency eco-friendly for a sustainable low-carbon green growth through railroads' logistics, the Korea government also aims to increase railroad logistics two or three times more than present railroad logistics. But there are problems to expand the terminal infrastructure that are the limitation of geographical conditions and huge costs. We are developing the simulation to analyze the result by changing the operation method of yard trailers, reach stackers and gates. This paper aim to analyze gate performance adopting RFID.

  • The purpose of this study was to present the effective activation of apparel CAD system and for this, the investigation of actual condition of CAD using companies and comparative inspection with the advanced study were carefully considered. The results were as follows : 1. The investigation result of the system using enterprises is that the direct effect from the operation of the CAD system after its introduction was the promptness, ad the indirect effect of it was the growth of operation level and operating reliance. 2. The problem originated from the system was the uncertainty of employer effectiveness and the financing source for it when introduced, and the lack of consciousness of it when operated. 3. The using level in pattern manufacturing function was lower than that in grading and marking. Therefore, as the full automation in CAD system is a part of CIM construction and the direction to which apparel companies should go, a firmly connected system between management & the persons in charge in apparel companies, facility supplying companies, universities & other educational institutes, and the Government should be duly constructed first of all n order to achieve this aim.

  • E-Commerce constitutes an important part of all commercial activities. Online Alternative Dispute Resolution(Online ADR) or Online Dispute Resolution(ODR) is a new method of dispute, resolution which, is provided online. Most Online ADR services are alternatives to litigation. In this respect, they are the online transposition of the methods developed in the ADR movement such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration. But there are also online courts which are really normal courts in which the contesting parties communicate essentially online. This paper deals with the current operation of Online ADR and the ways to, activate it. They include (1) die establishment of legal stability regarding Online ADR, (2) the enhancement of system security in providing Online ADR services, (3) the introduction of Online ADR service platform for providing the various services through single window on a national, or global basis, and (4) the introduction of Online ADR online monitoring system for systematic dispute resolution services.

융합인재교육(STEAM)의 아웃리치 프로그램 개발 및 운영 사례 (A Case Study of the STEAM Educational Outreach Program Development and their Application)

  • This study aims to conduct a case study of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) outreach program development and their application. This program was operated by 184 middle and high school students at C University on October 2014. The major results of these studies were as follows: First, The theme of the outreach program consisted of four engineering areas, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, architectural engineering, and mechatronics (robot) engineering; moreover, the materials for the students' workbook, the guidebook for teachers, and the program operation manual for staffs in a university were developed by working with four authors and ten subject matter experts. Second, the satisfaction level with the contents and activities was ranged from 4.24-4.31 out of 5 points. Third, the vitalizing activation plan was discussed for the sustainable development and operation of the STEAM outreach program.

  • This report will introduce the epitome about the subject, HANARO (Hi-flux Advanced Neutron Application Reactor designed by KAERI in early 1995) Utilization Education Training Program Development and Operation, which is one of the nuclear research basic expansion businesses executed from 1999. 12. to strengthen the usage of HANARO. This program consists of the basic reactor experiments program for university students who have specialty of nuclear and other engineering, and the special research education program for faculties from universities and researchers from industrial fields. Principle lessons are reactor operation, radioisotope production, neutron activation analysis, neutron radiography, radiation shield (health physics), nuclear fuel combustion measurement by gamma scanning arrangement, and CNS (Compact Nuclear Simulator) and so on.

  • 계량정보학 연구영역의 하나인 운영연구(Operation Research ; OR)중 미래예측이라는 목적을 가지고 있는 마코프모형(Markov Chains)의 통계기법을 활용한 두가지 실험사례를 살펴보고, 최근의 연구경향을 분석함으로써 도서관 시스템 운영과 설계에 마코프모형을 응용할 수 있는 네가지 방안을 제시하였다. 계량정보학의 한 분야로 적용되고 있는 마코프모형에 관한 국내연구가 활발하지 못한 상태이므로, 국내 계량정보학에서의 마코프모형 연구의 필요성과 활성화를 제안하였다.

  • On cold start operation of an SI engine, a catalyst shows poor performance before it reaches activation temperature. Therefore, fast warmup of the catalyst is very crucial to reduce harmful emissions. In this study, an appropriate control strategy is investigated to increase exhaust gas temperature through changes of spark timing. Combustion stability is also considered at the same time. Exhaust gas temperature and pressure of combustion chamber are measured to investigate the effects of spark timings on cold start and idle performance. Experiments showed that retarded spark timing promotes the combustion at the end of expansion stroke and increases exhaust gas temperature during cold start.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the phenomenon of agricultural management transfer and to present a plan to activate Korean management transfer through institutional consideration. To this end, the domestic and overseas agricultural management transfer system was identified, and an appropriate institutional plan for the country was sought. There are six ways to activate the management transfer system proposed in this study. First, establishment of an agricultural management transfer agency, second, training and utilization of management transfer experts, third, establishment of an agricultural succession certification support institution, fourth, operation of specialized training courses for management transfer, fifth, (local government) linked operation of a farming support center, sixth, agricultural management transfer legislation and securing of budgets. The above agricultural management transfer system is expected to contribute to the advancement of management transfer activation.
