Measuring System for Evaluating Sensing Reliability of Infrared Temperature Sensors

  • In this paper, auto measuring system for evaluating sensing reliability of infrared temperature sensors is developed. A developed system is composed of temperature controller, measuring sysytem and operating S/W. A constant temperature control of a chamber is accomplished by multi-heater using PI control. It is shown that the control resulte of temperature are well followed to the desired temperature value. The developed untegrated measuring system will increase reliability and productivity of products.

  • The analysis of performance characteristics in a refrigerator truck using R404A and R744 was carried out by using theoretical method, and each performance was compared with a variation of operating conditions. The components and cycle simulation model were developed by using EES program. To investigate the performance characteristics with operating conditions, the performance of both systems was simulated according to indoor temperature, outdoor temperature, outdoor air velocity and compressor speed. As a result, the R744 system had a better COP than R404A system for given operating condition. The cooling capacity was not increased over the outdoor air velocity of 3 m/s. Besides, the performance of R404A system was more sensitive to operating conditions compared to that of R744 system.

  • This paper deals with charging and persistent-current mode operating characteristics of BSCCO magnet load using high-temperature superconducting (HTS) power supply. The HTS power supply consists of two heater-triggered switches, an iron-core transformer with the primary copper winding and the secondary BSCCO solenoid, and a BSCCO magnet load. The magnet load was fabricated by double pancake winding and its inductance is about 21 mH. A hall sensor was installed at the middle of the magnet load to measure the current in the load. In order to investigate the efficient pumping characteristics, operating tests of heater-triggered switch with respect to dc heater current were carried out, and the electromagnet current was determined by considering saturation characteristics of its iron core. The saturation characteristics of charged current in the magnet load were observed with respect to various pumping periods: 12 s, 14 s, 24 s and 32 s. After charging the magnet load, the persistent current was measured. The operating characteristics of the persistent current mode were mainly determined by joint resistance and magnet load.

발효건조장치의 가동온도가 음식물쓰레기의 분해 및 이·화학성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Operating Temperatures on Decomposition and Physicho-chemical Properties of Food Wastes in a Fermentation Dryer)

  • 음식물쓰레기 발효건조장치의 가동온도는 발효물질의 분해속도 및 발효물질의 이 화학성 뿐만 아니라 장치의 가동에 소요되는 에너지 양에 크게 영향을 미친다. 따라서 한번에 100kg의 음식물쓰레기를 발효건조시킬 수 있는 시판되는 발효건조기를 사용하여 가동온도를 35, 45, 55와 $70^{\circ}C$에서 가동하면서 발효물질의 분해속도 및 이 화학적 특성의 변화를 조사하였다. 분해속도는$35^{\circ}C$$70^{\circ}C$에서 가장 빨랐으며 모든 온도에서 가동초기 10시간 내에 급격하게 분해되는 비슷한 양상을 보였다. 온도가 높을수록 분해가 빨랐다. 가동기간에 따른 발효물질의 pH는 가동온도 $55^{\circ}C$$70^{\circ}C$에서 빠르게 증가하였다. 발효물질의 질소함량은 가동기간에 따라 별다른 경향을 나타내지 않았다. 발효물질 중 $P_2O_5$와 CaO함량은 가동기간에 따라 증가하였으나 MgO, $K_2O$ 와 NaCl의 함량은 축적되지 않았다. 구리의 함량은 100mg/kg(건조물질 함량)이었으며 Cd, Pb 및 Cr은 분석한계 이하이었다.

100kW급 연료전지 열관리 시스템 실도로 운전조건 해석적 연구 (Analytic study on thermal management operating conditions of balance of 100kW fuel cell power plant for a fuel cell electric vehicle)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 100kW급 연료전지 시스템의 열관리 성능을 실도로 운전조건에서 분석하여, 성능 해석 모델링을 개발하는 것이다. 개발된 모델을 적용하여, 열관리 시스템의 운전조건 변화에 따른 성능 변화를 고찰하고자 한다. 해석 모델링은 핵심부품들에 대한 성능 평가 데이터를 바탕으로, 성능에 영향을 주는 변수들로 개발하였다. 개발된 연료전지 열관리 시스템 해석 모델링으로 다양한 실차 운전조건에서의 최적 열관리 시스템에 대한 전력소비량을 분석하였다. 주요하게, 연료전지 열관리시스템 핵심부품(워터펌프, 냉각 팬, 3 Way Valve, 라디에이터)에 대한 성능 특성 분석 후 모델링을 진행하였다. 개발된 모델링으로 운전조건에 따른 유량 예측을 하였고, 실험값과 예측값과의 비교분석을 통하여서, 해석 모델링에 대한 검증을 진행하였다. 과도해석을 통하여서, 냉시동시 냉각수 온도가 특정온도까지의 소요시간을 예측하였다. 스택 운전조건에서 스택 입출구 온도가 적정 수준에서 움직이기 위한 열관리 시스템 운전조건에 대한 예측을 진행하였다. 그 결과를 바탕으로, 소모전력과 열방출량과의 비교분석을 하였다. 개발된 해석 모델링은 핵심부품들의 성능 변화시 연료전지 시스템 운전에 대한 영향도를 분석할 수 있도록 활용할 예정이다.

  • The service life of tools in metal forming process is to a large extent limited by wear, fatigue fracture and plastic deformation. In elevated temperature forming processes wear is the predominant factor for tool operating life. To predict tool life by wear Achard's model is generally applied. Usually hardness of die is considered to be a function of temperature. But hardness of die is a function of not only tem-perature but also operating time of die. To consider softening of die by repeated operation it is necessary to express hardness of die by a function of a function of temperature and time. By experiment of reheating of die softening curve was obtained and applied to suggest modified Archard's Model in which hardness is a function of main tempering curve.

  • HTS motors and generators have some advantages over LTS machines because of higher operating temperature. Very low temperature nakes LTS machines need higher refrigeration cost and large facilities. However, HTS machines are expected to be comparable with conventional counterparts at smaller machine ratings than LTS generators in terms of efficiency and size. As the operating temperature increases, the magnetic flux density generated by HTS field coils decreases relatively. For example, 1000hp HTS synchronous motor developed in a few years ago has maximum field density of 1.5T. At this point, magnetic material used in conventional machines is able to pass magnetic flux easily with high permeability. In order to investigate the effect, we arranged magnetic core only inside of magnet vessel of a 100hp target machine. By way of FEM analysis, we concluded that the magnetic core can reduce amount of expensive BSCCO conductor so much.

  • It is very important to determine the performance and operating envelope of engine for aircraft's flight. The basic performance is provided by manufacturer, but installed engine's operating envelop is only determined by flight test. First, this study was measured cylinder head temperature(CHT), exhaust gas temperature(EGT) and oil temperature. At pre-determined altitude and power rate, these temperatures were measured by change of mixture ratio and mixture ratio condition for economic operation and max. power were found. And secondly, with the measured temperatures, possible positions of mixture lever were determined by flight test for stable flight Chang-91 and Lycoming IO-360-A series four cylinders engine with 200 hp was used for this study.

  • This paper describes a computer simulation of the triple effect, water-lithium bromide absorption cooling cycles. The performance of the absorption systems is investigated through cycle simulation to obtain the system characteristics with the cooling water inlet temperature, the working solution concentrations, the ratio of the amount of the weak solution to the high, middle and low temperature generators, and the temperature difference of each solution heat exchanger. The efficiency of different cycles has been studied and the simulation results show that higher coefficient of performance could be obtained for the parallel cycle of constant solution distribution rate. As a result of this analysis, the optimum designs and operating conditions were determined based on the operating conditions and coefficient of performance.

벼의 순환병류건조기(循環竝流乾操機)의 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of Rice Circulating Concurrent-flow Dryer)

  • A computer simulation model for rice circulating concurrent-flow dryer was developed and verified by conduction a series of pilot-scale experiment. The effects of design parameter and operating conditions on dryer performance were analyzed by using simulation. The results indicated that the developed model was found suitable for analyzing operating characteristics. The other results from simulation also showed that; 1) an increse in the initial moisture content resulted in an increase in the drying rate and a reduction in the grain temperature and total energy requirements. 2) an increase in the drying air temperature resulted in an increase in the drying rate and grain temperature. 3) an increase in air flow rate resulted in an radical increase in drying rate, fan power requirements and total energy requirements but an radical decrease in final head rice yield. 4) an increase in the bed depth resulted in an increase in fan power requirements and a lowering of the final head rice yield.
