  • This paper clarifies the change in international technology standardization as a change in innovation. The change comes to be shown in how to take the consensus standard. The tendency to standardize the systematized concept is a rather arduous and complex endeavor. This paper focuses on Mitsubishi Electric Corporation as such a case. The results interpreted from the approach of closed innovation, open innovation, and social innovation. The following findings are clarified by. 1) The consensus standardization is open innovation in which the enterprise creates value. 2) When the value creation is large, the possibility of the maximization of such value capture that achieves the earnings acquisition can be improved. 3. The innovation of the consensus standardization is reciprocal for the stakeholder. The possibility for open and social innovation to supplement the success in innovation mutual and to achieve an effect is suggested.

  • A new fault-tolerant control topology for open-loop motor-drive systems with Delta-connected stator windings is introduced in this paper. This new control topology enables the operation of a three-phase induction machine as a two-phase machine fed by a three-phase inverter upon a failure in one of the motor phases. This topology utilizes the "open-Delta" configuration to independently control the current in each of the two remaining healthy phases. This new control technique leads to the alleviation of any torque pulsations resulting from the consequences of the asymmetrical conditions associated with this class of faults.

  • Over the past few years, a number of studies have been made on web map services, which enable the GIS user to access spatial data through the web. They, however, have focused on only implementation techniques separately, such as map client implementation, map server implementation, communication between client and server, and the map data representation. Therefore, it is hard to share and practical use the spatial data, because they does not ensure interoperability in heterogeneous map servers. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the web map server with open architecture, which complies with the standard interfaces proposed by OpenGIS Consortium (OGC). In particular, we have extended the OGC’s interfaces for a map server to support one or more data sources. This paper has contributed to construction and practical use of web map services by newly proposing the method of implementation of a map server, which could be reused regardless of the types of data sources.

  • The door open time, resulting from occupants evacuating from apartments, is an important parameter when assessing the performance of smoke ventilation systems in high-rise apartment buildings. However, the values recommended in UK design guidance appear to have limited substantiation. Monte Carlo simulations have been carried out considering variabilities in door swing time, flow rate and number of occupants. It has been found that the door open time can be represented by a lognormal distribution with a mean of 6.6, 8.7 and 11.1 s and a standard deviation of 1.7, 3.2 and 4.7 s for one, two and three-bedroom apartments, respectively. For deterministic analyses, it is proposed that the 95th percentile values may be adopted in line with recommended practice for other fire safety design parameters such as fuel load density and soot yield, giving door open times of 10 s to 19 s, depending on the number of bedrooms.

  • SPM, which is an abbreviation of Single Point Mooring, also called as SBM(Single Buoy Mooring), is a special buoy besides the quays of the harbor for mooring ships, and is normally a 3m wide cone or cylinder shaped steel drum fixed underwater so it won't move, and is used for mooring cargo-work at outer port by laid-up ships and large crude oil carrier. The work of VLCC SPM mainly is accomplished on the open sea. On the open sea as a result of meteorological condition and the ocean wave influence, When the weather condition is get bed, peremptorily moving to the safety place, because of the gale and the billow, almost happened frequently, the pilot is unable to go on board and the tug is also unable to be used Now because of the bad weather the VLCC SPM moving to the other safety place frequently happened in the ulsan port. the construction of new harbor, it constructed many break water around SPM. So that it is necessary to propose the new standard about how to maneuvering area actually. The standard for handling ranges of the SPM operations was tested and verified by a simulation.. So that it is necessary to propose the new standard about how to maneuvering area actually.

  • Purpose: This study examined the various patterns of standing to squatting activities, and reports the testing standard and phases for examining the standing to squatting position. Methods: One thousand, normal college students (500 males, 500 females) volunteered for this study. The patterns are performed by naked eye analysis with two video cameras. Results: The patterns from the standing to squatting position are as follows 1. parallel with the heel on the pattern: 2. parallel with the heel off the pattern: 3. closed with the heel on the pattern: 4. closed with the heel on the pattern: 5. open with the heel on the patternand 6. open with the heel on the pattern. Conclusion: The phases of the standing to squatting position are as follows: phase I from standing to the anterior parts of the knees reaching the anterior limit of the BOS, phase II from phase I until the height of the hip and knee joints are the same, phase III from phase II until there was no full squatting and the heels broke contact with the floor and phase IV from phase III full squatting on the heels in contact with the floor.

  • Building Information Modeling(BIM) technology continues to develop and is now being applied to infrastructure facilities. As smart technology based on BIM is applied to the construction industry, the construction of the same data in a common environment is considered to be a very important step in various applications. This study was conducted on methods to establish an open BIM-based airport facility information common data environment. Therefore, this study develops the element technology to establish a common data environment for the integrated management of airport facility information, and aims to standardize data in the common data environment among various technologies and applications. In order to achieve the aim, in this study, the required technologies were derived by examining the common data environment and examining the civil engineering facility field and the case of integrated airport facility management. Through this, standards and development for information standard framework, information requirement level, BIM guidebook, and BIM library were developed in connection with national and higher standards. Through these standards, it is expected that the integrated management of various airport facilities will be efficiently carried out through a standard data platform in the future.

  • WebDAV is an IETF standard protocol, which is an extended version of HTTP 1.1, supporting asynchronous collaborative authoring of various contents on the web. Recently, to precisely control access to the resources on a WebDAY server, the WebDAV Access Control Protocol was published. This protocol helps developers to implement advanced server functionalities in a convenient way by providing various control methods to the resources on the WebDAV server. Based on the WebDAV access control protocol, we developed Open Workspaces, which systematically support exchanging and sharing data for general visitors. An Open Workspace can be supplied as a Download-Only Open Workspace, an Upload-Only Open Workspace, or an Upload-Download Open Workspace. Any registered user can create these workspaces without bothering the system administrator. To support the Open Workspaces, we extended the Slide WebDAV server and the DAVExplorer WebDAV client, which are being used popularly.
