A Study for Improving the Power Factor of Distribution Transformer using Condenser Control Circuit (콘덴서 제어회로를 이용한 배전용 변압기의 역률 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Daily use characteristics of apparent power supplied to distribution transformer can be separated into two different time zone of waking hours and sleeping hours. In sleeping hours, using amount of power is decreasing. The actual curve of power seemed to be quite similar to this kind of separation. Inserting a condenser into a circuit in each different time zone led to maximize power factor of the transformer. The compensating condenser's on/off time is controlled by hysteresis circuit utilizing op amp and power factor of the transformer was improved from 0.945 to 0.999. As a result, the average of current reduction was 2.53A per hour of transformer.

  • Chua's circuit is a simple electronic network which exhibits a variety of bifurcation and attractors. The circuit consists of two capacitors, an inductor, a linear resistor and a nonlinear resistor. This paper describes the implementation for a practical op amp of Chua's circuit. In experiment results, 1 periodic motion, 2 periodic motion, rossler type attractors, stranger chaotic attractor periodic window and limit cycle are shown, which are coincide with computer simulation.

  • The active compensation of operational amplifeir is that it compensates the phase shift and the attennation of gain of OP Amp, according as the frequency increases. The compensation circuit is applied to VCVS and interting integrator. For VCVS, the phase shift of proposed compensated circuit is not concern with the frequency and the gain chracteristic is better than the proposde circuit by Soliman, according as the rate of feedback resistors of compensated circuit changes. Voltage follower accomplishies compgnsation using the same circuit. Also, the compensation circuit to increase O-ffactor in inverting integrator is proposed.

  • This paper presents fabrication techniques of the optical fiber position sensor (or spindle state monitoring. These include selection of components such as optical fibers, a laser-diode, a photo-diode, and op-amp IC of the signal process circuit. We also describe electric runout problem. The fabricated sensor has a linearity of $1.7\%$ FSO in the air gap range $0.1\~0.6mm$, a resolution of $0.37{\mu}m$ and a bandwidth of 6.3kHz. Finally, we have successfully operated a magnetic bearing spindle system using the sensors.

Switched-Capacitor Variable Gain Amplifier with Operational Amplifier Preset Technique

  • We present a novel operational amplifier preset technique for a switched-capacitor circuit to reduce the acquisition time by improving the slewing. The acquisition time of a variable gain amplifier (VGA) using the proposed technique is reduced by 30% compared with a conventional one; therefore, the power consumption of the VGA is decreased. For additional power reduction, a programmable capacitor array scheme is used in the VGA. In the 0.13 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process, the VGA, which consists of three-stages, occupies 0.33 $mm^2$ and dissipates 19.2 mW at 60 MHz with a supply voltage of 1.2 V. The gain range is 36.03 dB, which is controlled by a 10-bit control word with a gain error of ${\pm}0.68$ LSB.

  • Two kinds of simple active oscillators are proposed and analyzed assuming that operational amplifier has two-poles frequency characteristics. The first circuit is composed of one operational amplifier, one resistor and one grounded capacitor. The second oscillator is realized with one operational amplifier and three resitors. Proposed oscillators have the low sensitivity of the oscillation frequency for little variations of the passive element values. By the experimental results obtained with Op-Amp. ${\mu}A741$, the simple oscillators can be useful for the frequency range $1.25 KHz{\leq}f_{01}{\leq}40KHz$ for the active-RC type or $45.45 KHz{\leq}f_{02}{\leq}400KHz$ for the active-R oscillator, and it is shown to transform the active-R oscillator circuit into the voltage controlled type. Therefore, two kinds of oscillator circuit are attractive for the IC realization, because they have one operational amplifier, one resistor and one grounded capacitor, or three resistors.

  • PIN type의 LED(${\lambda}=630nm$)와 photo TR을 이용하여 PPG 센서를 제작하였다. 이 때, LED의 광출력은 window 통과 후, 약 $240{\mu}W$이다. 그리고 인체에서 흡수 및 반사가 이루어진 후의 광파워는 더욱 작기 때문에 이를 보완하기 위해 photo TR을 LED 양측으로 배치하여 주변으로 반사하는 광을 측정하였다. 측정 된 신호는 filter와 OP amp.를 이용하여 1차 처리과정을 거치고, 알고리즘을 이용하여 2차 처리 하였다. 또한 알고리즘은 평상시를 포함하여 운동시에도 측정이 가능하도록 설계하였다.

  • In this paper, we experimentally considered the stability of AT forward MRC with the characteristics of high efficiency and high power density. The converter ratings are input 48V, output 5V/50W, The maximum voltage stress is measured to about 170V of 2 times the input voltage when the input is 58V. The $81.66\%$ of maximum efficiency could be obtained. For the stability of the converter, it is compensated through the error op amp in MC34067. A phase margin and a gain margin for relative stability are measured using HP4194A network analyzer.

  • CMOS operational amplifier is most useful building bloch in analog circuit. This paper represents the analysis and design method of CMOS OP AMP to use general purpose such as the A/D and D/A converter, PCM encoder and decoder etc. The required specifications is obtained by changing W/L ration of CMOS devices. The design procedure must be iterative in as much as it is almost impossible to relate all specifications simultaneously. This is performanced with IBM-PC XT by using SPICE(SIMULATION PROGRAM WITH INTEGRATED CIRCUIT EMPHASIS)program.

  • 태양전지는 빛에너지를 전기에너지로 변환시켜주는 에너지변환 소자이다. 본 논문에서는 이 태양전지를 수신기의 전원 겸 안테나로써 사용하고자 한다. 태양전지를 수신기의 안테나로 사용하기 위해서는 태양전지가 받아 들이는 빛에너지에 음성신호를 인가해주어야 한다. 실험에서는 일정하지 않은 음성신호대신 Function Generator를 이용하여 신호를 넣어주고 이 신호를 LM741과 KA2904 내의 OP-amp를 통하여 증폭시킨 후 발광 다이오드(LED)에 인가시켜 주었다. LED의 광신호를 Solar-Cell이 받아들여, 직류전압은 전원으로 사용되고 교류신호는 음성신호로 사용된다. 본 실험은 빛을 이용한 무선 송·수신기의 기초적인 단계에 불과하나 고도의 기술이 필요하지 않으므로 그 파생효과와 발전 방향은 무궁무진하다고 할 수 있다.
