  • The fusion research subjects of Oriental medicine and Information-Technology are actively advanced. These researches provide Oriental medicine the objectivity and support the infra to all study area of Oriental medicine. This paper considers the inside and outside of the country technical development trend of ontology research by analyzing papers and going through case study. It executed information analysis about changes to number of research papers, present state and star higher officer of research facility from the dissertation which it sees. It is known that our country research result is slight so far in quantity and quality as result of analysis. But hereafter it contains many developmental possibilities. Also it reflects the appearance and a growth of new field like bio-informatics biology. In the area of medicine, ontology used to define the terminology for information documentation and the medical terms linked up by high correlation. Also medical information system developed briskly using ontology technology. The ontology of traditional korean medicine play an important role in base infra of traditional korean medicine EHR(Electronic health record).

  • Recently, we started a project development of the digital expert system for the product design supporting in manufacturing industry. This digital expert system is used to the engineers in manufacturing industry for the process control, production management and system management. In this paper, we develop the ontology based inference engine shell for building of expert system. This expert system shell included a various functions which of Korean language supporting, graphical ontology map modeling interface, fuzzy rule definition function and etc. And, we introduce the knowledge representation method for the ontology map building and ontology based fuzzy inferencing method.

  • The document transformation system is more widely used in order to transform business documents efficiently in diverse organization. In established researches on document transformation systems have been carried mainly focused on XML however, it is not only transformed XML form but also EDI or local form in realistic import and export process. Particularly, in the most completed research relate on document transformation, they used ontology to get rid of non-efficiency in the connection of XML schema by manual. Hence, those researches are lack of features, which are construct and modify the domain ontology automatically and the size wasn't enough to realize itself. In this paper we study development of ontology and basic system, which is critical in intelligent document conversion system. And we develop an ontology with editor can be modified and complemented by users, as well as we make it used in real import and export business process.

  • The software pattern is knowledge representation derived from the verified solutions or the experience of the experts. On account of the design varieties of software development, however, it is not the facilitated task to discover the best proper software pattern. This situation requires that software patterns be categorized in terms of their innate concepts. This paper proposes software pattern ontology(SPO) for the systematic categorization of software patterns by means of conceptual properties of patterns after the comparative analysis of association between software pattern and ontology. The SPO presented in this paper can establish the basis for the software pattern management system at the conceptual level. This paper also shows an idea for the application by unifying conceptual properties of software pattern and ontology.

  • Use cases are commonly used to represent customer requirements during systems development. In a large software development environment, finding relevant use cases from a library of past or related projects is a complex, error-prone and expensive task. This study proposes an ontological methodology to support use case retrieval in an interactive manner. The architecture of a prototype system that implements this methodology is presented. To evaluate whether the proposed approach can provide satisfactory results to users, this study develops a research model and hypotheses based on interaction theory. These hypotheses are empirically tested using a laboratory experiment which controls information filtering and perceived interaction. Our study suggests that a system which interacts with a user intelligently reduces cognitive load and increases self-efficacy and satisfaction.

  • Although RDF ontologies might be expressed in XML tree model, existing methods for protection of XML documents are not suitable for securing RDF ontologies. The graph style and inference feature of RDF demands a new security model development. Driven by this goal, this paper proposes a new query-oriented model for the RDF ontology access control. The proposed model rewrites a user query using a three-layered ontology view. The proposal resolves the problem that the existing approaches should generate inference models depending on inference rules. Accessible ontology concepts and instances which a user can visit are defined as ontology views, and the inference view defined for controling an inference query enables a controlled inference capability for the user. This paper defines the three-layered view and describes algorithms for query rewriting according to the views. An implemented prototype with its system architecture is shown. Finally, the experiment and comparative evaluation result of the proposal and the previous approach is described.

  • In digital virtual manufacturing simulation, Digital Human widely used to optimal workplace design, enhancing worker safety in the workplace, and improving product quality. However, the case of ergonomics simulation solutions to support digital human modeling, Optimal DHM (Digital Human Model) data needed to develop and perform DHM will collect information related to the production process. So simulation developer has burden of collecting information. In this study, to overcome the limitations of existing solutions, we proposed the ADAGIO(Automated Digital humAn model development for General assembly usIng Ontology) framework. The ADAGIO framework was developed for DHM ontology to support optimal deployment of digital virtual environment and in order to ensure consistency of simulation components that are required for simulation modeling was made of a library.

  • The spotlight is thrown on the ubiquitous technology these days, and diverse management technologies are proposed to efficiently manage the networks in the ubiquitous environment. Because each network has its unique management technology, the integrated management of complex networks is a very difficult challenge. In this paper, an integrated network management methodology is proposed to ensure the efficient management of different networks using ontology. Although the proposed integrated network management methodology is quite simple, the definition of this methodology is essential for the integrated network management. Using the $Prot\acute{e}g\acute{e}$ to Ontology development, the terms for the integrated network management were defined, along with the OWL and relevant rules, and several methods were implemented according to the proposed methodology. The process in this paper is considered essential for the network expansion and multiple network management.

  • The development of collaboration among information systems in accordance with changes in enterprises' business environment brings about the problems of duplication of the existing business services and increase in costs of maintenance. Accordingly, Web service has been suggested as the standard of distributed computing to prevent the duplication of services within the same business domain and to attain the services that are already being utilized. But since the data needed for Web services are not standardized, it is difficult for the users to find services that meet diverse business purposes. In this paper, we construct an ontology-based collaboration system for service interoperability. The ontology can support fusion service by finding services which are existed interdependently under the distributed environment for collaboration processing. The role of the collaborative system includes development, registration and call of services based on ontology. A local systems request collaboration support through the service profile. Collaborative system supports the development of service using the service profiles, represents the semantic association between real data through system ontology, and infers relationship between instances contained in the services. Based on this, we applied the travel booking services for collaboration system. As a result, service can be managed effectively preventing collision in collaborative system, and we verify that the mapping between system is reduced.
